Despite the amazing name the mode isn’t actually that interesting. It’s just a mode where garbage rows fill a section of the screen and the objective is to clear them as quickly as possible.
*the E rating changing to an M on a casino plug and play* "Good thing they reconsidered!" Huh like they should with EA sports Games that have LITERAL SLOT MACHINES AND PACHINKO!
I remember my grandma giving me and my sister a 50 in 1 Plug and Play system shaped like a N64 controller. The games on there were pretty good and we played them for hours as well as the old Pac-Man plug and play mentioned in the video(I played Bosconian the most). Sadly, my dog chewed the wires off of it. Yeah, that dog destroyed alot of my stuff, but I can't get mad at her. R.I.P. Grandma and Georgia.
I don't live in the UK but I know most UK slang and use some of them quite often due to having some family members and friends from the UK...well and the fact that canada is basically UKs cousin. Anyways I thought the same thing you did lol
Plug and play games were really cool to play. I remember playing these plug and play consoles at a young age, like the Spongebob plug and play, Blues Room plug and play, and Thomas and Friends plug and play. So nostalgic, and so much fun
This brought back memories of sitting in my grandmas office room in the corner on an old tv. The sponge bob and the Mrs PAC Man ones brought me back. Woooah
The *BEST* plug 'n' play was the Star Wars one with an infrared light saber, where you balanced a training droid on your TV precariously and fought Darth Maul.

The plug-and-play I remember the most as a kid was this 2D exploration game based on the animated show “The Batman,” and it was honestly pretty dope. Bane’s level gave me the most anxiety since there’s a time limit and you needed to find and defeat him before time runs out. Edit: Oh snap, you even show it in the video! Talk about nostalgia overload.
The thing I honestly love is the proprietary software in some of the plug and plays. Games that can never be emulated on a PC because no one skilled enough in interested in converting them or creating emulators, so many original plug and play games will be lost in time soon enough, it's a shame.
@@BigOlSmellyFlashlight Yes, I saw! And it's amazing! Unfortunately a game I really wanted to emulate can't seem to be emulated unfortunately, but a lot of other games have been brought to PCs through emulation!

Be honest, if EA could, the answer would've been 'yes'
100% but don't give them ideas
12:45 “Garbage” Tetris is apparently a mode
Despite the amazing name the mode isn’t actually that interesting. It’s just a mode where garbage rows fill a section of the screen and the objective is to clear them as quickly as possible.
it is, actually. not a very fun one though
Garbage Tetris is a mood
I had a lot of fun on the spongebob plug and play as a kid, it was a great mini game collection!

Huh like they should with EA sports Games that have LITERAL SLOT MACHINES AND PACHINKO!

50 in 1 shaped like N64 controller? Sounds like the Power Play Super Joy.
Atgames sega was a horrible gift I got for my kids. I still haven't forgiven myself 😢

Yeah but this video is for real people lmao
Plug and play games were really cool to play. I remember playing these plug and play consoles at a young age, like the Spongebob plug and play, Blues Room plug and play, and Thomas and Friends plug and play. So nostalgic, and so much fun
My sister had that spongebob one when we were younger, and yeah, I remember everyone having a surprisingly decent time with it.

"Hey all, JonTron here!"
Hey Jon, Tron here.
This isn’t funny
And here is the first episode of the TV show
This brought back memories of sitting in my grandmas office room in the corner on an old tv. The sponge bob and the Mrs PAC Man ones brought me back. Woooah
Scott literally always posts at the most inconvenient times that there could possibly be
“You talkin about edacity or this city?!”

Hey look! its the episode that went on TV!
The *BEST* plug 'n' play was the Star Wars one with an infrared light saber, where you balanced a training droid on your TV precariously and fought Darth Maul.
1:10-Alright. Wasn't expecting a mental heart attack from watching that fall, but thank you.
This is magical. I mean; it's kind of a warning? Maybe?

You are truly not alone, Scott. We’re all one the same page.
Sadly didn’t have this one but I had only one and it was the spongebob one which I constantly played but I did play Namco museum and it had the original games and newer versions and I loved it. Thank you for reminding me of it.

I kinda have to admire the brazenness of the later Pac Man plug and play that looks like the character sprite

Haha I was thinking about Jons video too before watching this.

Same here. Fun fact the earliest version of the Ms. Pac Man plug and play didn't have the signs on them. Took me several years to figure that out.
game theory: scott in skits is an alternate timeline scott that only makes shitty jokes. main timeline scott is the one who actually talks about games. this explains their different tones and delivery.
Actually this has been confirmed by scott that he believes every episode is it's own pocket universe in a review tech usa stream

I’m mad at myself for not finding this channel sooner.
Finally jontron returns to his older style of content! While I love his new stuff this is also great.

Scott does so much for these clips that only last a few seconds (like potentially breaking a TV)
The thing I honestly love is the proprietary software in some of the plug and plays.
Games that can never be emulated on a PC because no one skilled enough in interested in converting them or creating emulators, so many original plug and play games will be lost in time soon enough, it's a shame.
yeah. however, mame developers are actually developing mame emulators for plug and plays.
@@BigOlSmellyFlashlight Yes, I saw! And it's amazing! Unfortunately a game I really wanted to emulate can't seem to be emulated unfortunately, but a lot of other games have been brought to PCs through emulation!
