- In this video, I custom built a prototype modern wood cell phone stand from spare wood that I had lying around in the garage. I plan to do the final build with nicer walnut hardwood, so this practice run will be good to get the correct angles and any changes that need to be made.

Wow I loved that this all came from scrap wood! It turned out beautifully but I also like how you mention improvements you’d make if you were to do it again. Great detailed walk through. I wish I had space for a workshop like yours!

Yes agreed. And i need to add a charging slot so i can have it on the stand and charge it at the same time. It was a prototype so i know where i need to make improvements. Thanks for watching tho!

Good use of scrap wood. 👍
It's not the end of the world but Spar varnish is for the exterior meaning it has ultraviolet properties as well as can take temperature movement but it is not a hard finish like the interior varnish or poly urethane.

I‘m calling you out on this sacrilege! One simply does not replace an iPhone with a piece of wood. Gentlemen with a modest grasp of decency would buy an Android phone just to film the iPhone. Why? To put the Android device into its place 🤣👌🏼
