I really appreciate your videos! I am not repairing anything at this time. But i like watching because i never know when i will be! I like to review your Steps and Cautions, again, right before i do it. Gives me a great reminder of all the tiny things!

Will there be a video for the right stick as well? Oh and another question. Should you replace the thermal paste when removing the heat pipe?

I will make a video for the right stick as soon as I get a chance. The heat pipe thermal paste isn't all that critical, but at the minimum, I'd make sure to re-spread it so that there is some coverage. You can add a bit if you have some on hand but you don't need to clean the surfaces like you would for a CPU/GPU.

@@GoCellPhoneRepair Thanks you very much for answering my question. I just want to build in some gulikit halleffect sticks. In the video from gulikit there were some people how commented, that you should replace the thermal paste cause it may get brittle - but I don't have any thermalpaste and I am not an expert for such things.

Would it be possible to do it without removing the thermal shield and using plastic, non conductive tools as I don't have any thermal paste?

It may be possible, though you would be working with the battery still connected which isn't the best idea. Alternatively, from what I've seen the thermal paste under the metal plate is not as critical as that which is further inside against the processor. Re-spreading some of the existing stuff is probably fine and they put plenty on to work with from the factory. Just don't get it dirty and you should be okay.

Thats called joystick and not Joy-Con. Joy-Con is the name of the entire detachable controller.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go update the title to avoid any confusion.
