If you don't feel like eating just plain old beef stew, you can make some biscuits (either from scratch, if you have all the ingredients, or from a baking mix) and have the biscuits with the stew -or- you can split the biscuits and put the beef stew on top of them, which is one of my favorite things to do. And rinsing canned fruits can indeed help reduce some of the sugar content.
Just found you, from UK. I have never seen a senior box. Do you guys get then regularly? They look great. We had salt cut down in lots of our foods, they didn't stop manufacture, just jigged the canned food.. Then came sugar & same scenario! We all add our own bit of LoSalt and maybe a bit of Canderel to sweet stuff! You look great, thank you for posting, really interesting seeing other foods.
yes we get them once a month , it really helps .Honestly we would all be better off with no salt and sugar but sometimes you just gotta have it . Have a great weekend

How do you get Senior Boxes? What organization does it? I know each town is different. I'm a senior now, 62, paid my dues, so I wondered where you get them from.
wow welcome to 62 hehe . Do not forget your senior discounts also ( I seem to always ) Check with your department of aging , and if they cant help check on the "feeding america" website there should be a way to put your city .state in and find out .
Call in a welfare check, explain it's not normal for the dog to bark non stop. Worried about the person next door. I'm glad somebody is going to make them stop adding cancer crap to out food. Nice haul. I'm still not sure what I'm doing for T-day yet. I know I'll make corn bread dressing and a pumpkin pie. Have a great week
I think they keep it in a crate in the front room and they lay up in the bedroom where they do not have to mess with it , they got 2 kids to and they are always in the bedroom to when i take bailey out they knock at me waving . oh im so thrilled someones gonna help us with food . defiantly gotta have dressing and pumpkin pie . Have a wonderful week

Yes ringing the canned fruit off ,does in fact removes most of the high fructose corn syrup, because that's nearly all in the liquid .❤
