I live in Texas and I get mine through a medicade waiver program I'm about to receive my first box tomorrow my insurance pays for it every two weeks I'm physically disabled in order to get on the waiver you need to have a need for nursing care I just got approved I'm very Happy
Yes we have the waivers here in ky also mine was I needed the nursing care , at the time I have put mine on hold as of now and hoping to no longer need them but I sure was thankful for them , they are a blessing when you just cannot cook . You may need to spice then up a bit but all in all I cannot complain . You have a blessed day .....
You bet!! My legs have gotten much worse in the last few years plus other problems...heart, etc. I'm a proud old German brought up not to take government help. But dang it...payed taxes for 50yrs!!! Well! Now I get 14moms meals a Week, and I'll be getting a jousekeeper... 15hrs a week! Then there's a gym membership and even Uber rides to the doctors!! I'm feeling pretty spoiled!lol....things are getting better for us disabled folks!!
I've been enjoying Moms for a few months now.. With a little ingenuity and your spice rack you can actually make some awesome dishes!! Here's one everyone likes. The macaroni and cheese plate with vegetables...chop some left over meat...I had a small peice of pot roast...in then stir in the vegetables and add some hot sauce then top the whole thing with bread crumbs and Bake in the oven til bubbly!!

My friend was able to get these covered while she had gestational diabetes by Medicaid. Fingers crossed my dr is willing to do the paperwork to let me lol we're in our late 20's but apparently, you can get them for conditions like GD.
I’m helping my dad. He’s 74. Wilsonville,Alabama. 35186 He’s got Cigna and “mom meals” is on the papers he got. Wilsonville, Alabama 35186 Thank you in advance!
I live in San Jose California. The way I got Mom's meals is by being on social security disability for a major depression. You're all so eligible if you have a lot of doctors. And you're eligible if you have Medi-Cal. You can them if you have the Medicare advantage plan. I have Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal. I called Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal and ask them who my case manager is because you need a case manager to get the meals. Because I can't eat gluten, I told my case manager that and he got me medically tailored meals. I also called Mom's meals and told them that I want Mom's meals through my insurance company. They asked me a few questions, And then they contacted Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal, Mom's meals and Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal worked separately and also together on this. It took over a month before they called me and got me started to order meals. Because I was approved to receive medically tailored meals, Mom's meals has gluten-free meals and that's what they give me.
No they are not the healthiest , But if you have a senior living alone least they are eating something . I no longer get them as I found something else that I truly love
You would need to contact the Department of aging in her county or it may even be under meals on wheels . Each county is different so I cant speak for that county but start with Department of aging . Good luck to you hun and your grandma
I just got my first box this Friday, it tastes pretty good but it's so hard to open each container, the plastic seal is glued dead so I just tore it from the middle, but couldn't get it off the edges so I just heated it up like that. When I was buying frozen meals in the grocery store it was so easy to open but not mom's meals.
yea they will do in a pinch but I agree they are hard to open maybe if enough people complain they will go back to old style that has a cardboard top . People with arthritic hands its really hard on
Ugh, I can't eat, now I'm hungry, lol, that would come in handy for my surgery, doubt they have that in Pa. My ex backed out on me, so my sister has to take care of me, got to love idiots. Stay warm hun, I'll email you probably Friday.
Oh Gosh I am sorry , and that darn man lol . wish I was there i would take ya and stay with ya . I am sure they do have the meals in Pa ,if you want me to check just let me know , need your county and city but thats up to you . Prayers for you I am sure tonight your nervous but remember God has this . Love ya and will be praying
@@teamsheribail ty hun, I am nervous. He's been acting weird and starting fights with me, I don't need the stress of it, he even told my dog tonight, to shut the f up, my dog knows when he has attitude, so he was barking at him. I text my sister and told her to pack few days of clothes, she stuck with me, that should set her son and husband off, she caters to them, I told her to stop doing it, but ya know how that went over. I'm in Erie, no county that I know of, does that help? I saw a guy dropping meals on wheels on my floor today, seen him drop of 2, was coming back from laundry. Hugs and ty again for listening to me.
@@debifisher9486 your welcome I like to listen to my family here , you sure dont need that kinda stuff and neither does the pup , ohhh meals on wheels is even better if you can get them . Ill check though on the meals like i get also for ya . Hugs to ya and praying for everything to work out .
Got them for my grandma $8 a freakin meal she said they where watery and tasteless canceled in 3 weeks they come in every Wednesday I thought it was just the first batch but my cousin came over and ate the Saulsberry steak he said that it reminded him of public school food might just be the cooks serving my area but they are nasty 🤢 like the idea but hire better cooks and they where l
well they aren't the best , but I try to season it all up and do the best I can . I do the best I can with them , I know the vegtables are like rubber so I try to add my own .. Have a blessed day
Unfortunately the Meals on Wheels in my area are horrible and they cost $7 a meal. You can buy TV dinners in the grocery store for less than that and they taste much better.
Please remember Debi Fisher in your prayers .
I have just been referred to get these meals and really appreciate your video. It was very helpful. Thank-you

Just change your menu to keto. Someone would love all the carbs your nit eating. Free food can’t be picky.
