Do you think it is possible to be a regulatory affairs director within five years of your career? I work in the medical device industry.

After 1 year of working as an associate at a small startup, I landed the role of a specialist at a bigger company that I intend to stay at for atleast 3 years before I train well.

would love more info on how to switch from lab/formulation/qa/qc roles to RA roles!

I didn't like my graduate job (quality and some RA at a big medical device company) and was applying for PhV, quality and RA. Additionally, I had a year long placement at uni (pharmaceutical sciences degree) at pharma in QC labs. I started my RA role because they offered me the best conditions but I knew only little about it - that's how I found your channel, panicking with imposter syndrome before my day one 😂 it's been 3 months and I love it! I feel that I found my career.

Solid advice, this was my experience, very hard to break into. I was one of 2 people accepted into RA where 175 people applied. Very competitive and accurate presentation.

Thank you so much for all of your videos. I am currently trying to move from my position in the lab into RA. There is so much for me to learn, and as I network and take the needed steps to learn more about the drug development process, I am beginning to believe more and more that RA will be a great fit for me. So again thank you for for all of your tips!!

Thank you so much for the video Kyyah! I stumbled upon your channel last year and have been a subscriber since. I see that your experience is generally leaned towards the clinical side of regulatory affairs. Do you have any advice for those considering to join CMC portion of regulatory affairs? What about those who want to do a career switch after years of working in the pharmaceutical industry as QA?

4:20 Hi, I really liked all of your videos. I have a question that I have some experience in pharmacy research and pharmacy content writing of like two years in India. I am currently studying in Post bachelorette of healthcare management at Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia. So, can I get a job in regulatory affairs or do I need some kind of certification?

I don’t want to give a definite yes or no because anything is possible. You can get an opportunity but you have stiff competition as more Doctorates choose the path of regulatory over anything else

I second Kyyah's comment, don't need a Masters in RA, most people in RA don't actually have. If it helps you be more competitive though and shows more drive to be in regulatory, go for it but it's not mandatory like having a college degree.
