    I want to ask, in this present day and digital age, is it worth it going for a masters degree when you can earn a similar certification at a subsidized fee online, for instance I heard of someone earning a certificate of management in healthcare and someone going for a Masters in Health mangement...both earning Same salary currently, if you can learn everything from your own comfort with a school in my opinion. So is it worth it.

    Hello, I have experice in RA outside the US. I coudn't get one position in this field despite my education in Pharmacy and more than 10 years of experience. I'm thinking now to start my career in RA here in the US with the Regulatory Affairs Certificate: Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals in the RAPS. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the advice. Can you talk about the differences between working with a consulting group and pharma industry? I received a proposal as an intern in a regulatory consulting group (medical devices), but I don't know if the careers opportunities are good. Especially because is an international role, and I live in Brazil.

      Hey exactly same situation here I'm going to start my job from 1st June at a consulting group the thing is that we have to REMOVE the tag of freshers from us to break into regulatory affairs . Once you get the experience you can show that exp on resume and you will be able to apply at pharma companies both at national and international level

    If I am coming from a cmc analytical development track for 8 years will I not be able to sit for the RAC exam? Because I’m having an impossible time getting the experience to transition into RA because I guess there’s no such thing as transferable skills anymore? I don’t want to be in the lab anymore so I’m feeling so frustrated

    Hi! I’m doing my masters in public health and community medicine. So your saying it’s possible to enter regulatory affairs without a masters in ra? There’s a lot of life science companies where I live such as Edwards life science, kite pharma, and Gilead. I was hoping to get involved in these companies through internships.

    I will say, getting into RA immediately after a bachelors without having any experience in RA or at least experience in R&D or QA, is very hard considering most positions for RA say 5+ years in industry..
    I got my BS in Chem, did some internships in Pharma and IVDs, got my MS in Regulatory Affairs in 2020, and got a level 3 job in RA right after. Only 2 years in industry, multiple 510(k) submissions, and working with international colleagues, I'm planning to take the RAC fall 2023, hopefully it goes well- still nervous though.

    • @kyabdul
      @kyabdul  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s as of now and I personally think it’s because more PharmDs are leaving retail and coming into R&D so getting into Regs is more of a challenege for ppl with a Bachelors and no R&D experience. Nonetheless it’s not impossible in any regard. I’ve seen many times: people enter as a fresh graduate with some adjacent experience.
      Im glad you’re enjoying your time in regulatory though! And med device is such a promising path. I keep saying anyone with med device experience it’s going to be favored in the coming decades.

    What exactly constitutes regulatory experience? Do i actually have to have the job title of RA or can I have job experience that is more RA adjacent? I have BS in Chem, 5 years experience as a Heath and Safety Compliance officer, and I have been an Analytical Researcher in pharm for 6 years. I write protocols and reports all the time, I work with the QC and QA departments frequently. Does this count as Regulatory experience @careersavage
