great little bikes.deceptively quick for a cruiser.i got my 84 700 in 07 & will never sell it.the cams look brand new when i adjusted the valves at 20k.it was serviced regularly & it shows. yours looks pretty damn nice too.
I already got my hands on a 535 virago with low miles, just need to work on the carb and that's it. She's a beauty though, next owner is gonna be happy.
I like it,....mine came with the same black handle bar's I'm putting 10 inch handle bars back on,....but for now I'll probably take the ones off of the 1100 and swap them. He was trying to say the handlebars are 7/8ths Diameter. He swapped cruiser bar's for drag bars. I love his mirror's are they brand new or ebay used ones?
I ride an Eliminator 400cc and I’m looking at something more powerful for the motorway riding. I am seeing virago 750s and 1000s but heard that this bike is powerful for a 700. I see one for sale, thoughts ??
See what suits you better. Viragos are V-twins whereas Magna is a V4. All are capable of motorway speeds. I'd personally prefer magnas since they are more powerful and respond quicker to the throttle twist. But comparing to the 400, virago and magna are 500+ pounds in weight.
@@REDonVFR I’m not sure the performance diff between twin v and v4, but I have opportunity to go from the 400 eliminator to either a Magna 700 or a Virago 1000.
@@AnthonyLCasey think of those as a regular cruiser vs crotch rocket cruiser. The virago is a low revving bike whereas the magna redlines at 9k rpm. Try both.
@@REDonVFR weird. Mine is a 1 piece seat. I'm debating deleting the passenger seat. But the bike is like completely original, and I feel bad changing stuff
Congrats!! Well, let's just say it is nearly impossible. Those accessories are in a short supply, not produced any more and rare on ebay/marketplace. I was lucky to get it with the bike.
@@coachcoty6806 I bought an '83 back in '87 with less than 2,000 miles on it. Absolutely spotless! I want one just like it. Would jump on a clean V65 too. I know. Don't hold my breath.

you wouldve sold it quicker if you would shown the viewers how quickly that tach gets to 10500 in 1st 2nd & 3rd gear. deceptively quick.but also very enjoyable when your riding easy too, like you rode it.
700 and 750cc they shortened the 700 pistons to make it compliant for import, but instead by doing that the 700 can accelerate faster than the 750 so for making the more powerful less powerful.... its all how you look at it lol
When you shift, wait until you have RELEASED THE clutch BEFORE You apply throttle! Otherwise, you are PREMATURELY wearing out the clutch! Not trying to be a dick, just trying to help out everyone out there Who is gaining experience 😉

This is the coolest bike I’ve ever seen!
man it's almost winter time and I can't wait to get the v65 magna for spring lol definitely getting that back brace holy crap that looks comfortable
It's the best time to buy bikes :)

Actually just got my hands a 1985 VF700C last summer, can't wait for the weather to get better around here so I can take it for a ride again
Fantastic! Could you suggest me a good site for spare parts for Vfc750? Thanks a lot
That would be anywhere. It's becoming tougher to get parts on bikes that aren't made anymore. I had my carb gasket set from ebay.

Beauty is subjective, m8! This bike is eye-candy, haha
May I ask what handlebar, mirror, and master cylinders you changed to. Im wanting to do the same!

I don't recall the mirrors.
That was a very honest price..solid 2K bike.
Found one that needs a bit of work. How tough was it to find parts?
I'd say those are still very abundant unlike the CL's and CX's. I had no issues sourcing the parts I needed.
nice hadle bar..can you please where did you buy that..

saw someone selling this bike in my area, thought id give it a quick search
Detuning usually involves adding intake and exhaust restrictions to limit air flow,it is just a big air pump after all.it’s a v45 not v42.

Good choice! It's a fun bike to ride, it shares the engine with the VF500F interceptor that I'm currently restoring. Power to weight ratio is great!
I think this Magna is THE baddest bike I've ever seen.
