well to play devils advocate claudio and travis(not sure if thats his name) are the band. bass and drums are hire ons. we naturally gravitate towards frontmen and lead players because normally they are the writters and creators. i understand what your getting at though. in that case their are plenty of bands/projects where the bass player is also the leader and writer. i feel like your a bass player at heart no smoke there. i can hook you up with a list of players like that if youd like.
