Victory Gundam really deserves more attention! It was a great show, it had some amazing mecha designs, and the few model kits we got so far are honestly pretty good!
That is one kit I've been thinking about getting for quite some time and now you have sealed the deal my friend! I find the accessories and the articulation to be pretty neat and I NEVER had a kit that came with an additional v fin before! It's actually got me wondering how many kits have an extra v fin. Great review as always Zach!
@@ZakuAurelius the standard victory ver ka is pretty fantastic tbh. I went into it knowing it was a model kit and might need some work and came out impressed with how few issues i had. I broke 1 part because I was careless but it was stable as all heck. No looseness on any of the joints
The V2s wing effect parts dont fit on the Second V. According to Schizophonic9's earlier review, the pegs look like they should fit but they really dont, sadly. Its a real shame too
It fits perfectly if you take a part under its wings. Watch a video of gundam holic and see how he does it. It's a shame really but i think its a secret feature of the kit
it is funny how a different combat pack could change my opinion on how Victory Gundam looks. Never liked it in the first place, but this particular 2nd V is just a very pleasing kit to look at.
This mobile suit is beginner friendly in SD Gundam G Generation Overworld. I gave each member of the Shrike team a Second V mobile suit, and even though the Shrike team has horrible stats, the ability and stats of this mobile suit compensated for the Shrike team's horrible stats.
I think the hands will always look too big since in the show, the hands fold into the forearm in core top mode. But in the MG you have to swap the hands out when you transform the arm.
Nah, you got like computer shenanigans that change the shape of the shield so that it won't cut the mobile suit. If you look for it in victory gundam, you can find it.
So regret not getting this kit. Now I will need to scour Mandarake in hopes of finding it. Question, why do you prefer the HG over the MG for Victory kits? I love the Victory designs, but would think that the MG might be a bit nicer for display.
as fan of Victory Gundam (the gundam, not the series), i hope bandai will make a regular version of Second V, i don't mind if it's just the gundam without any accessories
@@porkflaps4717 for the most part, but the kit itself is different from the normal V Gundam. the soulders, elbows, skirt armor, knee armor, feet, and the head are different

would look great when paired with the Victory 2 Assault-Buster.
When you take the little extra bit off the rifle it kinda looks like Crow from MST3K but with a giant gun barrel for a nose
I can't unsee that now
And if you *do* remove that extra bit, then every seven years, its voice will inexplicably change as well.
i'd do anything for a complete translation of the novelization of Victory Gundam
I'd really love to see this in the MG scale. Maybe we'll get it in a few years.
If it’s based off the currently available Ver.Ka then I’d be hesitant but if they made it like a 1.5 that didn’t transform then I’d be happy

Well, it's not only the backpack, but also the feet are resesigned resembling a lot the ones from v2, also the elbow joints are different.

Huh no wonder why you said that very few people would know this is from the novel of the victory gumdam
Is it possible to swap the original Victory's backpack onto the Second?
Yes, you have the original victory back torso part included in the leftover parts

I managed to get this recently in p-Bandai us somehow
STAND UP! =D
Still waiting for mine to ship. OTZ
Also Second V>V2
But V2 Assault Buster > Second V
Second V still looks awesome though, I'd want a Robot Damashii version of it, preferably Ka Signature.
A suit without an actual model number.
(The one from the Gundam Card Collection doesn't count.)
Can you accidentally cut your own mobile suit with the beam shield?
Nah, you got like computer shenanigans that change the shape of the shield so that it won't cut the mobile suit. If you look for it in victory gundam, you can find it.
speaking of mobile suits that need a real grade...
*Master grade
1/144 is too small for these MS. (they are actually something like 1/132)
暗黒騎士 Ankokukishi No, RG Crossbone is properly scaled and is a little smaller than the HGUC
The F91 needs a Real Grade first, the F91 doesn’t have any complicated gimmicks like a core fighter. It would be a more solid kit.
Shouldn't it be 2.5?
Wow
So it doesn't come with pilot figure? Nor extra hands?
I love this more than v2. It looks as an upgrade to V, rather than a new MS, it doesn't have the super-gimmicky Phoenix wings....
The second V does have the Minovsky drive unit like the V2

Oh it's so great.... I like it
Wheres the red gem part on the v fin of the RX-78-2 Gundam?
The victory gundam omits that altogether
Oh i see thanks

Isn't the accessories what make it the 2nd V? It's the V Gundam with some V2 Assault Buster weapons

Look to plain, need some customization if i say. But the shield model is really good.
Because it based on 2013 kit
@@hbudiman14 If they make the Victory today it would looks the same...because that's how the original Katoki's line art looks like.
