I am honestly pleased with the color separation with this kit other than the shield. It’s a shame the shield wasn’t newly molded to have the blue sections be actual parts. A little surprised that this uses parts from the Mudrock!
It kind of irritates me that so many of these awesome kits are being released as P-Bandai. The Heavyarms Custom Igel and Blue EW, the Mudrock, the Stormbringer, and now these 2 kits. Just wish they were more accessible.

Question,what’s the marketing strategy of pbandai? Are they afraid of overflowing the market or afraid that some if those kits wont sell well? Because milds costs a lot and sometimes pbandai kits are brand new molds :(
The G05 needs to come out. I needs me some giant gatling gun. EDIT: Sheesh, couldn't even do up the markings as actual decals? C'mon, Bandai. Three minutes in and I'm already thinking one may as well just get the Master Grade...

Love the thoroughbred suits and the Mudrock, but a little disappointed they're all P-Bandai. Still very tempted to get them anyway since they're such good looking suits. Maybe if we pray hard enough Bandai will give us the G-Lines as regular releases rather than P-Bandai, lmao. Edit: And yeah, those decals are pretty awful. It'd probably be a pain to try and get waterslides made of them for HG scale, really disheartening.

Instead of modernizing the G04, it looks they stayed true to the early 2000s era Katoki re-design of the RX-78. This kit looks almost exactly the the MG from 2003.

The mg is at least a bit more color acurate(still not completely though).Its pretty sweet in general for how old and cheap it is from what Ive seen about it. I also like its proportions better but that might not be the case for you. But the hg probably has better articulation...so you might like the hg better depending on what youre looking for.

ah yes the pilot of this Gundam got killed because of the Beam Cannon he was using malfunctioned and its power pack blew up hitting the cockpit in the process.

Cuz the chest duct vent actually have 2 hole,just repaint the blue to red and add the pale rider gatling gun and there you go 👌🏻

i put the Tritan head on this gundam and it looks a lot better. no gap between head and the body

I believe the mold for the G04 is shared with the Pale Rider, which may explain the quality for some parts.
The shield is, the rifle might be. The joints are definitely from the Mudrock though.

I don't throw anything away in a kit. You never know what you could need down the road.

I always cut off all the parts first, even the unused ones. But it’s possible I missed a tiny one 🤷♂️
