That was so much fun to watch. My favs are the first two but all the cards were gorgeous. Definitely a tree! Have a beautiful day Marion and thank you.
Thank you! You too! 🤗🤗🤗
I just love watching you “experiment”. You are a joy. Thank you for sharing. One day I will give that technique a try. Your cards are wonderful. And, yes, there was definitely a tree there. 😂
Thanks so much and yes, definitely try it, it’s fun 🤗🤗🤗
I saw the tree, also!
Yay !! 🥰🥰🥰
I still saw the tree even after you said it had vanished, a bit like wind blown blended tree, I loved it, think with the other velum one with pinks on these were my 2 favs, I would never have thought about putting the powders directly onto an iron, I have got crafting iron not used it for years, think I originally bought when playing with fantasy film, love how you always bring us new ideas and twists on things, loved what you made with them at the end too.
If I was an artist I could have gotten away with that tree 😂😂😂 glad you enjoyed it, get your iron out and play 🤗🤗🤗
Love the ideas you have great cards .I would have kept the bits you cleaned off the iron on there looked to be interesting bits on that to for using die cuts on thanks again Marion you cheer me up !
That’s a great idea Fiona, thanks 🥰🥰🥰
It was fun to watch you do this technique. Could you hear me trying to tell you to use just two colors and do some without the overpowering pink? LOL. I love how excited you get and I definitely was laughing with you at times. I need to get an iron dedicated to crafting.
😂😂😂 I wish I could hear through the screen sometimes, I get so caught up 😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
I loved the ultra highs so I bought black and silver! I love that sprinkled on!!!I need to get mind out and try! I wonder, if you do it fast enough, if you could “ stamp” images or multi media images into it such as stamping an old used tape roll- the hard cardboard ring, or a rubber stamp that you could reheat to melt anything it picks up and stamp it off????? That would be cool a two fer! If it worked.
It does set very quickly, so I’m not sure Denise, but give it a go 🤗🤗🤗
I totally saw the tree and I still do. You could stamp a tree design over it now. This is a wonderful technique. I know I never would have thought of it. Thank you for doing all the experiments and for sharing all your results.
Thank you so much, you’re so welcome 🥰🥰🥰
What about heating up on iron and then cooling iron and peeling it off? Like that punching technique you do and scrape off with a spatula. Just having ideas.
That’s a great idea, it would take a long time for the iron to cool down, but it would be good if it worked 😜😜🥰🥰🥰
Between the hot iron and the wasp.....glad you weren't burnt or stung! Lots of fun, as always. The cards looked wonderful!!
Thanks so much Wendy 😂🥰🥰🥰
I loved the technique. But I would use them as first layer backgrounds. Then stencil over or try embossing folders or another technique on top. Please try doing an image lift technique while they are hot! I’d love to know if that works! Especially the rubber stamp idea because you can reheat it on the stamp and maybe stamp it! Lmk if that works.
If I get time I will, got so many birthdays and babies coming, times running away 😂😂🥰🥰
@@marionembersonthe babies are due already? Wow! I bet momma doesn’t feel like it went fast but it did! Best wishes to everyone!
I still see the tree, it's just covered with snow. 🤷♀️
I’ll take that 😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
As per usual, you are amazing! I need an old iron now! ❤❤❤
Thank you! Just grab a cheap travel iron. From Amazon 🤗🤗🤗
I yelled stop! Didn't you hear me? 😆🤗🩵
😂😂😂😂 nope 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Wow! Beautiful cards! I love the first two backgrounds the most. It does look similar to encaustic wax. When you first applied the powder directly to the iron, my mouth dropped open! LOL! I saw the Christmas tree, too. Thank you for your videos. ❤
Thanks so much, so glad you enjoyed it 🤗🤗🤗
I love that you just give it a go and play! Glad the wasp didn't get ya! The cards turned out great!
Me too!! 😂😂 thanks Amy 🥰🥰🥰
I wonder if with the glitter you pounced it instead of rubbing it, if that would work better. I do like it better on the vellum.
Yeah, that’s a good idea Donna, vellum gives it. Softer look. 🤗🤗🤗
I couldn't believe you poured the embossing powders straight on the iron! What fun! I put my cardstock between the pages of a large sewing book. I protect the pages with baking paper. Works a treat x
Thanks Linda, that’s a great idea 🥰🥰🥰
I saw it! I have found my phone to be a much better weight than an acrylic block or die plate. I also have one of the very old cuttlebugs with the very thick bottom plate that works well.
That’s a great idea, thanks 🤗🤗🤗
I can imagine you using a hot plate like a gel plate ! This is fun to watch , thanks Marion
Great idea Dot 🤗🤗🤗
Yep saw the Christmas tree. But I saw a group of pines.
I think these are great! There’s so much you can add to them after!
I saw the tree😊
Yay 🤗🤗🤗
Hi M. This is very different. Well done! I am wondering, what model is your Sizzix die cut machine? Thank you so very much! Blessed crafting! 😊
Thanks Christine, it’s just the regular one, I’ve put links in the description, if you want a closer look 🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson I must be illiterate, I tried, and tried again searching your supplies and I can't find it (die cutting machine) in the descriptions. Do I need to go somewhere else first? Thank you for your help, I appreciate you very much! 😊
Oh Christine, I am so sorry, I totally forgot to put the link. 🙈🙈
If you’re in the UK you can get it here tidd.ly/45Oz7Ef (it’s on sale right now) I’ll just grab the link for North America, so sorry for making you go round in circles 🥰🥰🥰

I hope that helps 🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson I am from Ohio, USA! Love, love, love your channel. Thanks for this, and for being YOU! 🤍🙏🕊️
Fab cards, interesting technique, definitely saw the makings of a tree and then whoosh! The translucent powders are my favourite like you said the others were overpowered by pink (as were always are 🤣) Always look forward to your videos Marion, thanks again for your time 😊
Thanks so much Bea, glad you enjoyed it 🥰🥰🥰
There was definitely a tree! Also I think this has been my favorite of your videos. You are a gem! Thank you for bringing us along on your fun!
Yay! Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it 🤗🤗🤗
I would add the goals avtetwards

It really is a lot of fun Ramona, thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰🥰@@ramonaamsler1209
Kristina I just received the last of my Olo markers. I just knew Id never manage the Copics. So far I ❤❤❤ the way they color. Although I clearly need different stock. I heard of two different kinds. The Express and something called Sugar Cube? What do You use? I've followed Your art forever and Im very familiar with you. Im from Utah. Bountiful area. Miss it a lot. Been here 3 years of 7+ months of gray and snow. Our grounds white now. YUK. And, Churches are few and very far between. Anyway mine. Any links for more vids on Olo coloring?
Hi, you’ve posted this on the wrong video, just wanted to let you know in case you think the other person hasn’t responded 🥰🥰🥰
Difference between failure and ART is knowing when to STOP
Yeah, I’m not very good at that 😂😂😂
Love this technique! Nicely done, warts and all... Thanks for sharing your experiments.
Thank you very much for watching 🥰🥰🥰
I am undecided on this technique. I have done encaustic art, and wax is slippery. However, we have to give things a go, don't we! ❤🇦🇺
Definitely, that’s what it’s all about 🤗🤗
i did see the tree, also could have been clouds. I think the key is to use 2 colours only as you get mud quickly but it's fun to play isn't it?
Definitely, I never know when to stop 😂😂🤗🤗🤗
This reminds me of the look I used to get with the Opals embossing enamels that were created years ago by an Aussie company. They were thick embossing powders like UTEE, but in such pretty colours & I used to make all sorts of things including backgrounds with them. I really need to revisit this technique. Thanks for sharing
Ohhh not heard of those, but they sound great 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Marion, that was just magic, don't like the idea of the hot iron look was flinching when you was using the baby wipe.lol😂
Thanks Mandy, yes, so was I 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
I love watching your videos!!!! You make “whoopsies” so much fun😁
That’s good as I have so many Whoopsie’s 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
I suppose running the sheets thru a laminator contained within a carrier would not work, that would just reheat everything but maybe it would straighten them out. Anyway, I love your cards. When I saw the crinkled up, one the red one that you said cracked and stuff was flaking off, I thought, poinsettia for sure!
Actually, you’ve given me an idea, if you sprinkled powders on your card stock and placed it between parchment paper, then in a carrier sheet and through the laminator, I reckon that could work 🤗🤗🤗
This was very interesting. On another note, what’s happening with your “maybe” move? I couldn’t imagine having to pack up my craft room!!
Thank you, that’s put on hold now, two more grand babies on their way, so we need to be closer, plus the house I loved has gone 😂😂😂 and yes, that feels me with dread and all the other stuff 🙈🙈🙈🙈🥰🥰
Different but great results cards were lovely and saw the tree. Thankyou. Alison. Xx
Thank you so much Alison 🥰🥰🥰
I like this technique, and I don't think I'm a silly person ;) LOL. I'll give it a try. Thank you, Marion love your videos.
😂😂 thanks Debbie 🥰🥰🥰
Wow! I love all the cards you made! Very cool! Warm regards ftom 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦
Thank you so much! Glad you liked them 🤗🤗🤗
I am sorry but for me this is a waste of expensive embossing powder to mush colours together which makes a muddy looking background.
Thanks for your feedback Nici 🥰🥰
Love your experiments Marion. Just wondering how it would be to sprinkle the EP onto the cardstock? I will try that later today.
Sprinkling is good, just heat from underneath, thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰
Girl, for sure, YOU are amazing! You are fearless in trying stuff. Me I do things other people do!
Oh thank you! I just play and try to encourage others to have a go 🤗🤗🤗
YES SWIRLING WORKS
Oh Marion I did laugh along with you on this whilst shouting stop. I did see the tree though. I love watching you play and creating backgrounds 💕
😂😂😂 Thanks so much Pauline 🤗🤗🤗
I love those new trios! They are gorgeous!! And thank you for not editing out the "fail". It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has them 😂
Glad you like them!
If you took a piece of parchment paper, folded it in half, put your card stock in between and put all colors of your embossing powders on, close parchment paper, and use your heat tool on top to melt the embossing powders.
Hi, thanks, yes I do that in another video. I just love playing with embossing powders 🥰🥰🥰
That Poinsettia came out gorgeous. I still saw the tree even at the end. It was like it wain a blizzard. Really love the expirementing you do.
I was really pleased with that and yes, you’re right, it was in a blizzard 🤗🤗🤗
WOW!! This is amazing!!! So creative!! Thanks so sharing!!
You are so welcome, glad you liked it 🤗🤗🤗
still watching to flatten maybe run through with an embossing folder
That’s a great idea, thanks 🤗🤗🤗
Some pretty backgrounds and lovely cards you made with them , and yes did see the tree 🌲 xxxxxx ❤
Thanks so much Annie 🤗🤗🤗
i still see a christmas tree in the one you commented on at about 25:30... there are a few 'branches' to the left side but it's like a glow now. could you stamp or use die cut branches to put a tree on top and let the lighter embossing powder glow through/around it?
That sounds like a lovely idea Sheryl, thank you 🥰🥰🥰
I certainly did enjoy this video! Cards at the end just showed how creative you are! Loved your sense of humor as well. Toodles!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰
Oh my god, that's fabulous Marion!!!
Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it 🥰🥰🥰
Love your iron technique. Almost encourages me to buy an iron!
😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
Maybe if. You mist the back of the cardstock, then put something heavy on it to dry.
your heat gun on the back of the vellum but not too hot or too close then weight it down
I’ll try that, thank you 🥰🥰🥰
I'm watching & smiling then just as I'm expecting a tree- bam - the iron imprint hahaha. You are a treat to watch!
😂😂 you never know what you’re going to get 😂😂🤗🤗🤗
In doing this technique you could use silicone hot glue finger guards to protect from the heat while holding the paper.
That’s a great idea, as like a lemming, I burnt myself twice, not badly, but could have shed those finger guards 😂😂🤗🤗🤗
It would see you’d have to be careful not to get mud with such melting together. Where can you recommend getting an iron to use?
Definitely, just try Amazon or a thrift store Denise 🥰🥰🥰
You are a funny lady. Felt like I was looking over your shoulder as you create.😂
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
How would this compare with using a heat gun?
This is different as I’m applying directly on the iron, I do do a pouncing technique with embossing powders using a heat tool. I have a few videos showing that 🥰🥰🥰
I saw a tree 🤣. They would be nice through an embossing folder too
Thanks, definitely, I should have thought of that 🥰🥰🥰
Looks like I might have to find a less expensive iron. Liking this technique
Definitely, a cheap travel one from Amazon should do the trick 🤗🤗🤗
Had such a good time watching you with this fascinating technique!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🤗🤗🤗
You are so funny & you have a good time making your cards. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much! I do love playing 🥰🥰🥰
OMG
Me-I saw a tree! I look forward to playing with this!
Yay… so glad you liked it 🤗🤗🤗
This would be awesome with one of those teflon covers for your iron
Great idea! Thanks 🤗🤗🤗
Would you p,ease come to my craftroom so we can PLA 👏🤗
😂😂😂 if only I could stretch myself 🥰🥰🥰
Great technique. The poinsettias were beautiful 🤗 and I did see the tree!
Awesome! Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
I seen the tree,I love watching you experiment. You give me courage to play and see what can happen❤
Aww that’s lovely, have fun 🤗🤗🤗
If the panel becomes too solid in color, paste over a stencil in white!
Good idea Denise 🥰🥰🥰
I definitely saw the tree Marion 😊. I love the end results in the cards that you made. Lovely 🥰
Thanks so much Jan 🥰🥰🥰
I did
Yes I did and love the way you do all experiments live ❤
Aww you’re welcome 🥰🥰🥰
I saw the tree . Wish you lived close to me . I love this idear x x x
Yay, glad you liked it 🤗🤗🤗
I think they turn out better the less you go over it with the iron. Just try with one swipe.😊
Definitely, I do keep saying that to myself and then keep going 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Love the technique ❤you need a travel iron with no holes
I certainly do 😂😂😂 glad you enjoyed it 🤗🤗🤗
i saw the tree but like you said the pink is taking over
It definitely was 🙈🙈🥰🥰🥰
Marion, at first I said, "What are you doing??" 😅
This is a cool technique! I think you could get extra backgrounds if you wiped off the iron on actual cardstock instead of copy paper. That might be interesting!
Yes, I saw the tree right away. So fun! I loved your cards at the end.
Thanks for an entertaining video! ❤
Thanks Dee, I always forget to do that 🙈🙈 good reminder 😍😍😍
@@marionemberson 🥰
Love the way you do the different "tries"
Thanks Anita 🥰🥰🥰
lol I saw the tree lol then it was lost in the blizzard
It was wasn’t it 😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
Love the final cards 👍👍
Thanks Linda 🥰🥰🥰
A little less glitter probably?
Ohhh less 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰
Roll it ver a curved counter top
Thank you 🤗🤗🤗
Your cards turned out lovely!
Thanks so much! 🥰🥰🥰
Well, this is very interesting!!
Glad you think so Kathy 🤗🤗🤗
Live love your spirit😊
Thanks you 🤗🤗🤗
I sore a iron shaped free 🌳🌳😂😂😂
😂😂😂 🥰🥰🥰
Xmas tree in a snow storm, for sure 🤔😅
Thanks, I’m an artist and didn’t know it 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Another good video but you took a couple of them just too far and I said stop and yes there was a lovely tree there it's great to see you enjoying yourself and me laughing along with you so keep it going Marion
I never know when to stop Myra 😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
She takes things just a tad too far, so we don't have to! 🫣🤫🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful cards!
Thanks so much! 🥰🥰🥰
that is lovely
Thanks Ruby 🤗🤗🤗
Amazing. Do you have the iron on high heat?
Thanks, I think it was about 120 so not the highest, but every iron will vary 🤗🤗🤗
@@marionemberson OK~~thanks for the info. I'll have to give it a try.
You are so real!
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Very Monet!
I reckon could hang that in a gallery and call it ‘Christmas fades’ 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
I saw the tree!
Yay !! 🥰🥰🥰
Saw the tree 👍
Yay !! 🥰🥰🥰
I see a tree...
Woo hoo 🥰🥰🥰
