I do a lot of card making etc, but I very rarely do any heat embossing. I love watching you do it and keep saying I will as it makes everything pop. Also now seeing you use the melt it and making 3d items, it’s made me determined I will try it….one day! Thanks Marion for all your hard work. You are a joy to watch.
I work with resin. Glossy Silicone molds make glossy castings matte molds make matte castings. Something you might try is brushing mica in the mold first then try the clear embossing powder. Or try pouncing ink with a paint brush in the mold then clear embossing powder.
Thank you, yes, I’ve done all those, I have many videos going back years 🫣🫣🫣 showing my age now 😂😂😂😂 I do love working with resin, I’m just so impatient, so I bought the UV resin but that’s so expensive, I can’t win 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi Marion, what a brilliant video. Great tips n ideas. I know very little about embossing powders yet drawn to them. Yet another video when ive learnt so much from you. Amazing. Thank you for putting a smile on my face as always. X
Meltpot! I have one but haven’t used it for yours! I will have to dig it out! Just a tip sort of! If the mould is mat then the embellishment will be mat. If the mould is shiny the embellishment will be shiny. Only know this from working with resin.
😂😂 The melt pot is great if you’re pouring in to large openings, otherwise it just pours out too much 🙈🙈 I must have only ever used Matt moulds then as I’ve always shined them up 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Guilty I bought some at the craft retreat you was at after being in your fabulous class and have never used it at home But I am going to next week now 🙈🙈 xx
Thank you so much for this! I spent loads of money on epoxy resin products trying to make similar things....but never had great results. This looks so much simpler! I think the feather comes out matte because the mould is matte. If your mould has a gloss finish so will your embellishment.
You’re so welcome Helen, yeah someone else mentioned that, I must have always used Matt ones, but I do have shiny ones, so I’ll give it a go and see what happens 🥰🥰🥰
You are my absolute empossing king. I had no idea what to do with it. I love all the colors, but unfortunately I don't have any WOW empossing powder yet, I'll change that now. Have so far only very little experience with it and also made little. Your videos and tutorials are fantastic. 🥰❤️😀
Wow wow wow. I’m loving this melt it. I’m going to have to buy some and have a play. I hope it doesn’t take long to be delivered! I’m so excited to have a play. Thank you for your video. ❤
Hi Marion omg you'll never guess what?? I only went and made my very first loveheart using melt it ❤ so pleased how it turned out its gorgeous but...I used a heart cookie cutter mine must be a bit bigger than yours as the 2 and a half teaspoons wasn't enough to do the full heart. Took almost 5 mins to melt all the powder lol xx
Ooooooh 😮 mind blowing. I dived straight into my WOW ep collection to look for my Melt It powder only to find out I don’t have any. How is that even possible 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. Love this Marion! Thanks for sharing ❤❤
Thank you Marion! Beautiful makes!! I am just wondering what would happen if I just put regular embossing powder that is not the melt it into my cookie cutter? Would it make a pendant too? I have some that I just haven’t used much and I was thinking that might be a good way to use them? Thank you so very much for all of your ideas!! Oh yes, I was wondering how much powder did you put into the cookie cutter and does it shrink a bit as it melts! It looked like your pendant came out about 1/2 inch thick or maybe 1 cm? I was thinking that if we made them really thin, they would be useable as an embellishment on a journal page? I’m always trying things and this looks so fun! Your name is on everyone’s lips these days! You really got everyone talking about the pancake maker!! Very cool! Thank you again!!💕
Thank you Donna… absolutely you can use just ep in your cookie cutter, I use melt it as it extends the powder, just remember to rub the inside edges with the wow embossing ink so it doesn’t stick to the metal. It doesn’t shrink and you can use as much as you like. That’s a great idea for an embellishment for journal pages. I’m so glad I inspired lots with that little machine. 😍😍😍
Hi Laura, it’s easier for me to say, give it a go as so many photo papers react differently with heat, so I’d hate to say yes and then yours doesn’t work, I hope that makes sense 🤗🤗🤗
Hmmm … I don’t see why not, it’s just to stop the set piece from sticking.. give it a try, if it sticks it just takes a little elbow grease to remove it 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks Karen, WOW used to sell these, I still have some in my shop, I can’t remember if you’re UK though… www.sugarandspicecrafts.co.uk/collections/silicone-moulds If not, just search google 🥰🥰🥰🥰
@marion emberson Marion sorry to be a pain in the bum lol. Just bought a big tub of wow melt it powder 😍 can I use any silicone moulds or am I better using resin ones. It's just that I don't know the temperature of the liquid once melted so unsure of moulds that can withstand the heat xx
Never heard of Melt It, but this is great. So do I understand this, the embossing in "greases" the cookie cutter to make it nonstick? And does the silicone mold also need the embossing ink? Thank you
Thanks Linda, yes, you need a 'release' on the cookie cutter otherwise it will set in there and be a nightmare to get out. No you don't need to do anything with the silicone moulds, they release lovely. xxx
Hi, yes you can, but it wouldn’t be very cost effective as you would have to use so much more, I always think of this like a carrier oil and the colour embossing powder you add is the essential oil. I hope that makes sense xx
It makes absolute sense, thank you. 😊 I was curious as I have several pots of embossing powder, with a tiny amount in each, that I've fallen out of love with. They sit in my stash, staring at me accusingly, and now I can put them to good use!
I'm so sad. I did this technique and made a couple of really cute pendants and then my Wagner heat gun burned out and just wouldn't turn on again! I don't know what went wrong, it didn't take that long to melt and I only had the gun for three months... : (
Oh Annette I’m so sorry to hear that, I’ve never used a Wagner heat tool, so I can’t really comment, I know with the WOW heat tools you must never cover the vents, if you do they have a safety cut out, but will come on again after about 10 mins (in most cases) have you reached out to Wagner ? ❤️❤️❤️
@@marionemberson Yes, but I haven't heard back. It was working when I turned it off but then would not turn back on. That's what is so weird. Maybe they will answer soon... : )

Janet, are you in the US? I have close to 50 embossing powders. I have a few repeats in colors. I would love to send you some.
@@Cre8iveCindy Hi. That’s so kind of you but No I’m in the UK
What a pretty embellishment this would make for a card. You could even do a removable ornament on a Christmas card. Thanks for the ideas!
Thank you Teresa… and yes, that’s a fabulous idea 🤗🤗🤗
The black and white thank you card is simple and beautiful!
Thank you Kathy 😍😍😍
This is such a cool idea. I live how you can make pendants with Melt-It. My granddaughter would love this. Thanks Marion

Oh wow. Christmas tree ornaments fir the Grandchildren. Looking forward to making some.
Oh the fun you’ll have Margaret 🥰🥰🥰
Melting in foil pie tray ? So clever!
Thanks, and a lot easier than a melt pot 🥰🥰🥰
