  • In this exciting offroad video, I take the Royal Enfield Himalayan for a wild ride and put it to the test. From testing its wheelie capabilities to pushing it to its top speed, I explore every aspect of this versatile motorcycle.
But that's not all - I also take it offroad and see how well it handles jumps and rough terrain. With its long travel suspension, knobby tires, and rugged build, the Himalayan proves to be a true offroad beast.
As I navigate through mud, dirt, and rocky terrain, I provide a detailed review of the Himalayan's performance, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses. And of course, there are plenty of thrilling moments as I push this motorcycle to its limits, capturing all the action on camera.
Whether you're a seasoned offroad rider or simply a motorcycle enthusiast, this video is sure to entertain and inform. So sit back, buckle up, and join me on this epic adventure as I test the Royal Enfield Himalayan to its fullest potential.

True to its name, it is designed for the Himalayan terrain. The engine is tuned for higher low end torque at the expense of a few horses. Which means it just keeps chugging even at the worst terrain without stopping. It’s an amazingly fun motorcycle to own and ride. You can do a lot of fun customisations on it yourselves unlike the fancy KTMs and others. And in the event of a break down , you can always rig it up somehow to get till the next remote Himalayan mountain village. I’ve had one for 3 years now and covered the length of the Himalayas through 4 countries over 6 months. I’m in love with this machine.

Finally a bike reviewer that knows how to have FUN! This review has everything I cared about knowing. I've got a proper motorbike license but so far have only been driving scooters in Bali for years, taking them up and down mountains, through rivers and beaches, and doing all the off-roading you are doing - as a long time c90 adventures fan, it's always baffled me about people believing you need huge bikes for adventure and fun. Been considering a bike for Australia and been learning towards the Grom or the Himalayan; so been wondering about wheelies, offroad, ABS, max speed, dropping and abuse, and fun factor.

I think Himalayan's best quality is it's torquey engine. It produces 32NM, whereas a Honda CRF250L produces only one less HP but 10 less NM of torque.
My old Honda XL400V TransAlp's engine produces 36HP but only 27NM of torque.
It needs that torque to move its mass of 199kg.

You can make it go faster with a bit of cash, If you get a TEC Cam, free flow exhaust, high flow air filter and a powertronic ecu. it will bump up to 30 hp, this will help you add a extra tooth sprocket that will give you higher cruising speeds at lower rpm and improved mileage. But you will have to do something with brakes, you can get ebc brake pads adds up extra bite but still not enough, and defintely not enough for added hp. OR you could wait for the new himalayan 450 that is gonna launch soon, again this has a lot of electronic upgrades and comes up with a liquid cooled engine making 40hp.

@@LifeofSmokey I bought this as my first adv bike. I just love how it looks. I assume it is "you love it" or "you hate it" design 😀I like how easy it is to ride off road if you do not have the skills. This bike does not try to "kill you" while learning. Also I`m not the tallest person (1,76cm) so it is very comfortable for me.

About the ABS, mine is the same model as in the video, bought in Jan 2023. I have to press the ABS button for 4 seconds (while at a standstill) and then the ABS light flashes three times. After the initial three flashes, it stops flashing but it now means the ABS is off regardless. After that, once you get going, it will keep on flashing as long as the ABS is off. Once you power off the bike, it resets to ABS on again. Keep in mind that these 2023 models need 4 to 5 seconds of pressing the button to turn off the ABS. Great videos, keep 'em coming.

To disable the rear abs, stop, press and hold button, count to 5, release, abs light should start flashing indicating rear abs is disabled. Took me a few goes to work out how long to press the button. Abs resets on next ign key off on cycle

i have the 2020 Himalayan. It does not have the ABS off switch so i wired a piggy back fuse and a switch on the handlebar. Now i can switch the ABS off just on the fly. One big red switch and it's OFF instantly. The ABS light even comes on in the dash and I can flick the ABS back on just as quickly. In your case, you have to turn off the bike, and then switch it on when it is stationary and then hold down the button for 5 seconds i think... Just as easy to just pull the fuse when you reach your trail

Haha I loved this video, except for ride with panniers I did all of that you did with my hima bs4 , and more than a bike it’s a tractor 🚜, heavy but reliable, I ride it at 4600 meters over sea level without any problems, ride on deep mud and big slope, cross creeks, let it parked and turn to found it “resting” on the ground, jump rocks on the trail, and specially use the “quick shifting” (I found it by mistake triying to make a gas stroke, but find it pretty useful to ride ) this bikes works pretty well on Colombian grounds where I live, it’s heavy but that 24 hp’s works pretty well and it’s incredibly easy to adjust and manteinance or cheap to keep, especially for the price you paid for it
