Good looking bows but after understanding the construction,,,, nope. I can't bring myself to spend that money,, just stick to laminated.

4:15 Horn imitation? That´s the real deal right there, no imitation. One should also take more care when stringing these kinds of bows than what´s seen here, you should have bent it more slowly before putting the string on, then checked it for for both tiller and straightness before drawing it, and also, warm it up a bit by gradually drawing it longer and longer, not reaching the full draw at once. Reason for all of this is quite simple, really - the horn on the belly of the bow can crack if it´s subject for too much stress too quickly. It´s a bow made from natural materials such as horn and sinew and it needs some time to warm up properly.
Not trying to be a besserwisser here, just out to help prevent any damages :)
    Nice shooting otherwise!

      It is NOT real horn.
Magen Klopp from fairbow netherland once disassembled one and it is some form of fiber, epoxy and ground up horn (just google grozer followup reddit and take the first post). You can find more on Grozer's biocomposite website called naturcomposit com where it is stated in the section "about us" that they use: "chemically modified horn wastage, a material with very similar features can be achieved like the horn sheet."
That is what Grozer states, however I'd like a hornbow maker other then him to compare real horn with biocomposite material.
Summary: It is NOT real horn and has very little to do with solid horn. I have a grozer hungarian short biocomposite, it is a good bow but it is NOT a hornbow.
I will get a genuine hungarian hornbow in a couple of month and at that point I will try and compare the two types.

@@simonlauber9014 Long comment that missed what was said. No one is calling it a horn and sinew bow made the old style. Only thing said is that there is actual horn in the bow which is true. Processed horn is not wood or fiberglass that is painted to look like horn. Nawalny does that and the results are different and more reasonable to call it faux horn. Grozer also makes more traditional laminated bows, they do not feel the same perform the same. The horn is making a difference as well as the processed sinew plates..

@@wizardjacek86 A real horn and sinew bow is also "just a laminated bow"... The commenter was not saying it is a old school laminated bow, just that the materials are not like most laminated bows today, but instead uses real horn and real sinew in a processed form that is mixed with fiberglass to give close to the performance of a more old school horn and sinew bow.
