This was much better than just showing 1 apartment tour, as you can see quite a few apartments, pretty well this way. Pretty good photography. Thank You, James!
Wow! You can't even touch anything like that around here. The $1700 for the hotel is closer to what we pay here for a one bedroom with nothing included.
For what this video lacks in fancy sunset drone footage of young people in expensive clothing with perfect completions sipping cocktails next to a perfect pools, it makes up for in candor. I appreciate the honest on-the-ground information which is extremely valuable for those slow traveling or considering long term stays or retirement southeast Asia.
Nice little apartment you've got there! Can't help but be nostalgic for the times when I wasn't throwing rooftop parties every weekend. Simplicity has its charm. All the best from someone who's seen it all in Asia!
Siem Reap is a good place to settle for now. The pandemic brought everything to a halt which stopped prices from rising so rapidly. Before, prices were rising fast due to Chinese investment and tourism. It could pick up in a year or so though.
Very informative and very attractively priced! Siem Reap is starting to look better and better to as a retirement destination. When I was last there - 20 years ago! - I was impressed with the great restaurant scene. I'm sure it is even better now.
Siem Reap has changed a lot just in the Covid years and has really improved in most sectors the food selection and restaurants is just amazing with every type of food you could wish for fresh and at such reasonable pricing I Love living here
Do apartments ever have a washer AND dryer? If there is a pool AND a generator, how much extra might that be, and what kind of generators do they have -- ones that use fossil fuels?
I have been retired in Thailand for 6 years ( worked here 12 years) I am ready for new scenery and culture. I have been to Cambodia three times as a tourist ( which is different than living there). My big concern is the quality of medical care? Is these a decent hospital in Siem Reap?
These all seem good value compared with Thailand. But what is Seam Reap like now? I went there in 1968 when it was just a village (plus Angkor). It must be overrun with tourists now.
Hello, Several articles I’ve read indicated motorbikes are not allowed in SR! Yet, I watch videos of SR, and everyone has a motorbike! Can you advise on this? Thank you
Very helpful. Many thanks. I’m in China and plan on coming to SR in July. I’m 63 and too old to teach in China. What do you reckon to my chances of a teaching job in SR ? Best wishes, Mark
Yes. And a few other qualifications. I realise the money will be piss poor but better than nothing. I need a small income as I don’t get a pension for 2 years. Many thanks for your reply. I owe you a beer or two, Best wishes, Mark
Setting at a darkened bar all day ,half drunk watching the other bar flys and trying to make a hit on the bar maids don't sound so bad for me but that's me.

It looks like most ask for a 6 month deposit, which would be OK I guess, but would you have any feedback on how easy or difficult it is getting the deposit back?
