My grandmother's favorite song for me! She always played it for me when my family went to visit. She passed away when I was 8 but everytime I hear it I always think of her ❤ RIP grandma you will always be my sunshine 🦋

It’s my brother’s favorite song from when we were kids, he and my dad would sing it. He would have cried if he had heard them singing it in the movie.

Such a heart-warming, peaceful country-film that makes you feel happy. Takes me back to childhood when singing 'you are my sunshine, my only sunshine ...' and visiting different farms using our talent(s) as entertainment.

Cute clean movie. Bruce Bennett who played Bob was a silver medalist in the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam and once was chosen to play tarzan but never did. His real name was Herman Brix. But did live to be 100 yrs old dying in 2007. And Slim Summerville was in a shirley temple movie "Captain January." And John Hamilton "Perry White" of Original Superman tv show early 1950's. Mary Ford one of the sunshine girls and married to Les Paul.....And I had the fortune of having Jimmy Wakely as a patient of mine (when I was a nurses's aide) in Encino Hospital in early 1980's ..as he died in 1982. Again the movie is silly and corny but cute. Makes me feel old too. Which I am:)

Edie Koller Bruce Bennett played the ex-husband in Mildred Pierce. Always liked him. He lived to be 100; died from complications from a hip fracture. If he hadn't broken his hip, I wonder how little no he would have lived. OMG. Per Wikipedia, he was a lifelong parasailer and skydiver. He last went skydiving over Lake Tahoe at the age of 96. Isn't that amazing?

5:28 Why are they dressed up in costume for a radio show?
6:44 Never mind, I just saw the "audience".

The reason why they were labeled shows and not programs.

Hmmm, stereotyping mountain people goes back a long way. I wonder when it started.

This film was cute and a meant to be corny, EXCLUDING the AWFUL scene at 25:24, the creepy ventriloquist with the weird foreign accent [ was he Swedish or German? ] who impersonated a grown man, getting a young female child [ the "dummy" ] he is bouncing on his lap , gets her drunk [as he was drinking]; then he keeps saying "I'll give you "peanuts", which with the creepy accent sounds like "penis"...then disgustingly, at the end of the "act", after repeatedly bouncing her on his knee, the poor little female puppet's underwear falls down to her ankles as he stands up to run off as if he has to throw up, it made me want to throw up in fact. I watched this scene more than once to see if I imagined it, I did not, this was classic case of someone with a sick pedophile sense of humor, sneaking it into the film past the studio heads and the censors. This scene should have been removed from the film, it is disturbing to say the least.
