Love the simplicity, and the low relief back buildings. Keep up the good work building Better Model Railways. Mike wear your Glasses when playing with the trains. You'll spend less time fumbling about . LOL!!!!
Good progress! Those Scale Model Scenes building are nice. Beginning to use more cereal card for both modeling and other uses like shipping boxes. Reusing keeps it out of the landfill and keeps a few bucks in the pocket for modeling. Those A/C units look great. Good detail accessory.
Have to say mike that whereas you normally focus on cheap and quick, this time what you have done with the loading bays is also most realistic looking too. In particular the blue painted corrugated cladded building, let alone those aircon units. Brilliant.
Its a cracking little layout and those platforms look brilliant and simple to build. I have the scale model scenery 1930's low relief factory building and it is excellent. I've also done the same thing as you, I spent ages trying to figure out what was wrong, ripped all my wires off my layout and eventually found that a point I had disconnected had its wires still powered and were touching under the layout, also done it with a screwdriver too.
I'm currently making a homemade engine shed and was going to use corrugated cardboard for the walls. Your model has used this and the results are good, I will be proceeding with this!!
Mike as always you are so imaginative and cut the faff and waffle out of making models for the layout, I've used the scenery company myself and while downloading and printing the kits is easy it uses quite a lot of printer ink. Keep up the good work great videos.
Looking good, nice and simple. What I really like about your videos is they are to the point and you don`t waffle on like some do and you keep them relatively short. Congrats. Cheers Greg
This layout is coming together really nicely, great stuff! I love the Scale Model Scenery kits too, in fact I just used one on my own small shunting layout.
ScaleModelScenery.co.uk Thank YOU for making some great kits! If you’re interested there’s a video on my channel of the Low Relief Factory kit on my layout 😊
Had a thought Mike. If you spaced those backscene buildings apart then added a second backscene about 3/4inch behind said buildings. Between each building either a access ladder or a person. This would add scale and depth to the layout whilst improving the look
No idea how things go on the British side of the Channel, but for a continental layout a string of generic brown good vans at a loading ramp is almost a standard feature. Usually they differ in dirtyness, air hatch colors and roof type. If you can get hold of some pre standardisation FS vans with the pointy roofs, park them at the cold storage... these were used for fruit transport (apples and so on).

You are quite talented. It isn’t what we see but what we think we see.
A bit like a mini film set

Thanks. Ive even found you can laminate several layers of cereal box card take thicker sheets

Your welcome. The low relief office building should feature in a video soon.

I looked at that model but it was too deep for the space I have

I used to do training presentations, and learnt to keep things short and to the point, unlike some who rabbled on for hours
That is a great little layout you have there it was good to see it. 👍🚂🚃
Thanks
A departure from your typical look. Really like this layout. Will take some inspiration for my current project. Thanks!
Looking better and better! keep it up.

All very helpful many thanks
That's coming along splendidly! Those "short" circuits can sometimes take a "long" time to find, can't they?
Lol very good!
That really is very good. Great ideas. I would love to see you operating it with a pre planned sequence of shunting.
Thats the plan once its completed
Great video
Love the use of all the different materials ☺️
Love these videos they really give me loads of inspiration, keep it up👍
Thanks for watching

really good to see...nice ideas...have been away...missed part 1....all the best...ade
loving the video content, apart from Scale model scenery another i use is Scalescenes for printing buildings, the detailing is fantastic...
Are you going to use the packs for the top of the loft layout
Graet video. Just the layout i want to build. If I get off my duff. Im guessing its 4'×18" in size
Hi. No its only 9in wide by 49 inches long, its surprising what you can get in a narrow space
Are you keeping the screw in the point or going to cover it up?
Well spotted, it will be painted over
Are you going to weather the green as it is very neon.
Not much , I wanted it to stand out and e different
Sehr interesanr
Looks great but the fork lift is a tad bit too big for the layout.
Possibly but its what I have
Budget Model Railways looks like I better ship a HO one over before you build a O scale layout
What scale is the forklift
Not sure , just bought it because it looked right
Hi there what is size and width of your board. thanks.
49x9 inches
how do I order stuff from you? web site address etc
Our website is budget model Railways all the details are on there thanks
