How to fix high idling problem Hyundai i10

I am a DIY enthusiast and loves to try, repair, solve or understand anything that interests me.
This I did after cleaning the throttle body and actuator, yet the car idles above 1000rpm in neutral position.
This video is just a quick fix and resets ECU, assuming position sensor is working.
High idling may also be due to faulty throttle position sensor, or something else.

Earned my subscription. I never changed a wheel in my life, yet managed to solve such a big problem in less than a minute😂😂 i feel like a mechanic already💪🏾. I picked up the problem on a National road while letting my car roll down steep on neutral gear, pulled over and started searching on TH-cam. First video i came across and it worked wonders🔥

Good day sir, yung hyundai getz ko before di nag aautomatic yung rad fan, kelangan pa buhayin AC para gumana. So, nirekta ko na or pinagdikit ko na ung wire sa thermoswitch para makaiwas sa overheat. After non yung dating 800rpm is naging 1000rpm na w/ or w/o AC. Ok lang po ba un? O pwede ko rin ireset ung TPS nia para maging 800rpm ulit?
sensor po b ng idle air control valve ung hinigot at ibinalik..pwede q po b yan gawin s hyundai eon q..salamat s sasagot

Parang ganito rin napapansin ko samin, parang malakas ang menor lalo na parang ino-on ang ac. Taas baba ang rpm.

It worked with my Hyundai i10 2011 gls,but the engine appeared in the dashboard🙌
What about stalling this means it would stall more or needs more gas to launch it?
In my own observation, stalling may have a number of possible reasons, either the TPS is dirthy, gas filter is dirthy, loose electrical wiring, faulty injectors, among few. My suggestion is to have it checked to someone who knows the vehicle pretty well so you will get your money's worth

Malapit po ako baliti sir. Pasensya na di po ako mechanic, pero i suggest linis muna po ng throttle body, yun ang madalas dahilan pag taas baba ang menor. Next if bka defective na ang tp sensor kaya erratic ang idling
Nung tinry ko sakin. Walang nagbago sa rpm. It means sira tps ko?
Sir napalinis nyo na muna yung throttle body? If yes and erratic pa rin and di sya steady, you can use a multi tester muna, check nyo if may daloy ng kuryente papuntang tps. Yung video is to reset idling below 10 pag nalinis na
Was this a permanent fix? Or do you have to repeat that every once in a while?
Hello, this is just to reset it. If idling gets erratic after a few days of resetting, I dont recommend repeating it. It means there are possible causes why idling becomes unstable. Try checking my other post, on how to clean throttle body and actuator. Sont forget to check tension wires and spark plugs. Pls keep me posted, thanks

Thanks! TB is clean as can be. Cleaned the upstream O2 sensor.
Car ran normal for about 5mi then back to idling steady as yours at about 1250. Put in a new one and again 10-15 mi normal then back to 1250 again. Going to replace the gasket on the TB housing next. Your reset is as good as any of procedures so far.
where do this hissing sound come from ?
In my case, the hissing sound is from the pulley belt. I think the belt has not been changed when I took this video, but a wornout belt and loose tension often creates that sound. Try checking and changing the belt if needed. But some other cause may be a bearing issue from either the tensioner, alternator, or compressor.

sorry for replying late, there's a screw dun sa gas cable holder which you can adjust to up the idle a bit
My idle rpm when ac is off is 1500 and when my ac is on it goes down to 1000.

I think hold down the throttle then do the sansor thing just now, or check your engine cause you might have a bad air/fuel ratio

Yes sir. Yung vid is to reset the idling lang, assuming throttle body has been cleaned, spark plug and high tension wires checked

I have the same problem with my 1.1 GETZ
•Boss tanung ko lang yung part kasi na yan sakin kpag naka ACC position yung ignition ko, "hindi pa na start yung engine" napansin ko po na uminit yung part po na ito
•Galing po kasi sa linis yung throtle body ko at maniforld, ndi ko po ginalaw yung mga sensor.. Thanks po in advance

I suggest sir ipa-scan sa nearest hyundai service, or to any shop na may scanner to identify if faulty talaga yung TP sensor. But supposedly, TP sensor should not generate heat sir, lalu na if naka acc on pa lang. Other signs if faulty yung TP sensor is the "check engine" light or logo would appear, or if erratic ang idling while engine is on/running. pwede ko bang linisin yung sensor ng electronic cleaner? i doubt kasi na may konting grease yung metal contact kasi nung nag linis ako ma oil yung kamay ko.. baka lang naman
@@asasin26 yes sir, tama po kayo, basics muna hanggat di pa napa scan. you can use carb cleaner to eliminate any grease sa contact ng MAF sensor, sama nyo na rin yung internal part ng actuator. ingat lang po pag tanggal kabit ng plugs as they end to get loose since plastic component sya. that's also one cause of faulty MAF sensor kse fragile na sila sa katagalan
if ever sir na faulty ang sensor, kagaya nga po na yung heating po yung problem at okay naman po yung idling, possible po kaya na sa wirings or harness? Fyi : yung diling ko pala minsan napapansin ko bumababa sya sa prng .6 or .7 kapag naka idle on engine, off aircon, off headlight and acc.. anong possible signs po kya iyon?
@@asasin26 if coming from cold start, usually around 900 rpm idling, then goes down to 6 or 7 once engine reaches its temperature. If stable idling between 6 to 7, it's normal and healthy. If idle is erratic, possible causes may be due to dirty throttle body, actuator, faulty wiring, faulty TP sensor or plugs, dirty or faulty spark plugs. Btw sir, be careful when cleaning the Tp sensor, wag masyado ispray coz it might affect the lubrication na nasa loob nun. Also, if you can check the terminal pins of the TP sensor, see if may signs of burn. Nababahala ako sa description nyo sir na umiinit sya, it's either faulty TP sensor or faulty wiring. I'm just wondering why di sya na-detect ng ECU which will prompt check engine symbol to lit
