Open Photoshop beta and go to "Window" - "Actions."
Click the menu icon in the top-right corner and choose "Load Actions."
Locate the downloaded file and click "Load."

Enable contextual taskbar in the window menu.
Expand the taskbar and click "Play" to start the action.
Follow the prompts for Gaussian blur and detail adjustments.

Use a soft brush to hide the effect from specific areas.
Remove dark spots with a black layer and the remove tool.

Update: Ai Generative fill, has finally arrived in the latest September release of Adobe Photoshop. Now you can use this action in regular Photoshop. All you need to do is update your software to the latest version. (To make the most of this select masked areas in quick mask options). Happy Editing!
doesn't do ai portraits, really bad ai implementation.
It saves so much effort in manually applying the effect to just the skin areas.

Yes masking must.
Heavy smoothing. I would first black out the mask, then make opacity about 50-60%, and then white in the mask where face really needs retouch.

Wow, this looks amazing. I was able to try it but the generative fill feature wasn't available thus it didn't finish. How do I fix that?
Is there a way of using this just in photoshop not the Beta?
Right so as a retoucher myself. I find this terrible. Retouching skin means adjust any imperfections and evening out the tones. With gen fill, it is replacing the skin all together. This is a very cheap and lazy way of retouching. However on the positive side, the way the action has been recorded with the gen fill is smart.

@@andremorgan9017 I disagree. This level of AI is not strong enough to replace the level of skill out here atm. Right now its just a hype. Like NFT. Logan Pauls NFT her bought for $600k or so has dropped to $10. And I can see retouching AI doing the same.

Definitely agree with your comment. I'm all for finding ways of speeding up the retouch process, however this definitely isn't worth my time as it's not even a retouch. It's a skin transplant lol Personally, if people want to save time, they are better off saving up some cash and buying the retouch 4 me dodge and burn product. Yes it's expensive at over £100 but I can smooth out the tones in the skin in a couple of clicks of the mouse and it puts it on a 50% grey layer.

thanks for the video and the action... but not at all work many times i did with many photos the results are not good.
For me, its not working. Non of the steps in the Action is working for some reason. I have the latest version of Photoshop (Business version) in german (if that makes a difference?) and its not working.

Attention.... This Action some problems it issue from adobe... adobe generate only 1024x1024 pixels max quality... so only for low quality photo working well but HQ quality photo not working well... but action is good for use

Just look for good skin texture, color and tone. Then mask it.

Ok, I understand that for many it may be difficult to even understand that the action must be used on the 25 beta version.
This is not my case, as far as I'm concerned (on mac os 13.5 with M1 processor) it doesn't really work, so I understand that the action has not been tested …….., too bad the video could have been interesting!
as you say it only uses generative fill. You can do the same without this action.

I have the solution. It exists a program that translates the atn-file from english to german. Google is your friend. ;-)

I have a request!! Please use less AI method in photo editing works. Many of us uses older versions of photoshop where 'generative fill' or any kind of AI is not available and they may feel demotivated because they think if AI do so many great compositions at minimum time and effort then what is the use of artists like us. Isn't it??

These actions are unusable, because they are based on english language and look for levels with a certain name and not finding it they come up with errors, IF possible would you make a version based on shortcuts?
