It’s hilarious that as soon as you mention you don’t know how fast it goes your dad starts looking for the seatbelt !

The aftermarket has come out with clutch kits that will reduce the rpms while criusing. Taller tires help too.

I sold my Polaris Ranger and bought the Kawasaki Ridge Limited. Big step up in engine performance and cab design. These are crazy nice, fun to drive with an amazing ride. No regrets.

    I test drove the ridge.
I have had 5 new kawasakis quads and bikes and they are good quality.
I bought the defender 24 ltd w/30" tires and a/c because....
#1 i can rest my arms on the open window.
    #2 much quieter..dad got 20% hearing in one ear..he's 80yrs ol😂
Plus the defender ltd has some pretty nice seats,a little uprite but good.
Wish i could have both tbh..
The ridge is a superb farm machine

Exactly why i got a Defender LTD over the Ridge too, Ridge is still loud in the cab, coming from a Teryx i wasn't going back that route. 5900 RPM 60MPH you can have a normal convo in the defender.

Nice side x side. Was intrested in the ridge. My wife is only 5'2" couldn't reach the floor on either driver or passenger side . So we ended with polaris ranger xp 1000 northstar ultimate edition

  • @evansfarms7961

That sure looks nice! I definitely like that the seat folds up and there’s extra room like if you had to get a cold and muddy calf you needed to take to the barn to warm it up it looks like you got a lot more room than our gators have! One thing I’d like to see how the lights are at night.. And what the max speed is? Because our gators max out at 49 miles an hour when you’re driving to some of them 15 mile away pastures that would be real handy to go faster on the highway

Does it have turn signals and a horn? I can't quite figure out if those are on this thing ... but absolutely required to drive it on the roads around here. I'd hate to drop >$30K on a machine that had literally everything ... but somehow forgot to add something as simple as turn signals and a horn. Thanks.

It is pretty loud inside the cab, but I don’t have any other SxS with a cab to compare it too so I didn’t mention it. Will probably talk about it in my final review if I can hop in some neighbors vehicles to compare

    • @1bleezard
      @1bleezard หลายเดือนก่อน

@@6thGenFarmer It's not as loud as what comes across the video. I have had 3 other sxs & none of them have had such a reduced noise level both out & inside. You can actually have a conversation with the passenger without hollering. The inline 4 cylinder engine is smooth & has decent power. Plus, no dust inside!

I test drove a ridge and i found it a bit loud.
I ended up buying a 24 defender ltd and it is much quieter.
My 80 year old dad has 20% hearing in his left ear so it was a good part of my decision.
I think artic cat makes a very quiet sxs but no thanks.
Ridge windows ya cant rest your arm on an open window because of the bi angle????

buy a jeep...... more comfort, quite, faster, more payload and you can take it any where you want... not just farms and trails.... drive it cross country..... same price but will last 200k miles when 20k on any utv is death.... and I never saw one with 20k!! BTW, get you hearing checked...... I never have to yell at my passenger(s) doing 30 to 110 mph in any truck or jeep!
