Thanks for sharing this one and great to see your dad helping out and so glad the split went well and everyone still working together. Great to see you Carson branching out and look forward to seeing where it leads you. May you and your family continue to be blessed.
I have changed tracks a few times. You are correct to remove the front idler but certainly not a bad idea to remove the rear to look at the reaction arms. I was yelling at the screen to remove your hose or you will break the fittings! I took one look at the tracks and am 99% sure those are not for a challenger, guide blocks are wrong. You shouldn’t have any issue reaching the adjustment bolts. Some more tips. Put cardboard or lots of floor dry under the tracks first, makes sliding them around much easier, keep your alignment tools with you for the first few days of fieldwork and check every time you get out, remember hot side in. The first thing to contact the guide blocks is the bogie wheels, not the idler or drive. I made spacers for the bogies out of 1/8 metal to move them out a little, gives more room before contact. Also keep your hose and 13 mm wrench with you too because on a cold morning your pressure might drop enough to set off the alarm, psi should be 2400-2700 range. I got good enough to change both tracks in about 4 hours by myself, but still don’t look forward to it. NTS is good to work with, but if they don’t have what you need OK Tire and track is good too.
Thanks for sharing this job! Sorry it didn't resolve on the first try, but many things don't. I'm looking forward to it all working out :) Thanks Carson!
Love the pre emission tractor. I am sure that you could buy the CAT ET system to be able to work on the engine without having to call out a dealer to repair it.
This is actually something I find very interesting, the old tracks have like a bar lug where the new ones are a V lug, and I wonder which is better on a track machine
Most people prefer the V lug. Most say it rides smoother and tracks better, but some say they like the bar lug better for the same reasons. All I know is that v-lugs are much more common and easier to find.
I’m sure you thought of this but I would recommend a heat gun to check temps when putting new tracks on. Not sure if these are similar to jd but I was always told when the tracks are bouncing a little bit side to side when traveling down the road on the front they are aligned properly.
Cliffhanger! I hope it gets resolved. Lol. Tom vs Tina! Both are T! How come they both aren't either at home or at the farm? I'm not very handy.. I'd be that child playing with the cat. Hahaha.
Tom came home because it was extremely cold the day I found him and I did not know if he would last the night and we fell in love with him. Tina seems to have life sorted out. Pretty sure she lives at a neighbors across the street and comes over to hang out during the day. Honestly, now that I think of it... I probably stole Tom from my neighbors
I have an agco dealer right near me, their shop is amazing, but I was unaware of how frustrating their parts are. Still very happy with the tractor so far though
Since those tracks aren't long enough, would say they are 8000T tracks which are 324" and MT700s track are 348". And no, you can't use 8RT tracks as they are 354" long. Put a tape measure or piece of rope around the tracks and measure the circumference.
I will be sending mine back to NTS tires to get new rubber put on. They give me a heavy discount on new bogies if I give them my old ones back. Core Charge
Going through all that work only to find out you might have got a smaller diameter track would be a very frustrating outcome. Hopefully something else is causing that and you don’t have to swap them out a second time. On the bright side if you do have to I bet it won’t take near as long the second time.😮
I am, however, changing tracks is a bit hard to do and my dad is actually going to be using my tractor here shortly for his project so he decided to help me. Plus it's much easier to do on a flat shop floor so we used his shop. Right now there is no field work to be done and the growing season doesn't start for another 5 months so we are just helping each other out while we have time. Once tillage starts next year I am on my own. I also have to get some grain bins ready here this next summer as well that haven't seen grain in 10+ years.
Best farmer on you tube he makes millennial farmer look bad his content is better than Welker farms love this guy
Great to watch the mechanics of the track assembly.

Thank you Raymond!
I love your videos man, the best way to learn is to do it yourself. I wish you all the best of luck on your new adventure
Every young beginning farmer may only dream about the support network you enjoy 🙏
Thank you, I am really blessed and I must remember that

The greatest gifts in life are free, Family.
Need to check your music on second track change it is drowning out you talking after you pull it out
The edge of the track buckling a little is perfectly OK it will keep it from ridging I've got a 755 and it's identical
Gotta love your dad's reaction when the seatbelt locked up haha.
It is always something!
Wish you luck Carson. I’d like to see you get some red on your farm too!
Put some music when doing timelapses please
Also funny how the kid was hanging around
The child on the scooter/work chair is living her best life. 😂
😂😂

You can check your track tension on the display screen
I love your videos man keep it up
Thank You!
My cousins are LG Seeds dealers in N.E. Mo. It is a great seed company.
Where at specifically lol my home area I am a landlord a representative was a seed dealer.

A heat gun makes sense. I have just always used my hands to see if one side of the inner lugs is warmer than the other

That's why I went 8410T was there are no ACGO dealers in North Central NE. Good luck.

Spirit lake? Iowa? My grandpa farms there and we live it
Yup!
@6thGenFarmer That's Epic!
Hey I haven’t watched in a while but wondered if you’re staying organic on your own?
I will be keeping my share of the organic with my family, but all my conventional acres will be my own

I will explain it in the next video, but there was actually a manufacturer defect
Now get with Larson Farms they sent their Boogie Wheels out to get real rubbed
I will be sending mine back to NTS tires to get new rubber put on. They give me a heavy discount on new bogies if I give them my old ones back. Core Charge
When I fitted new mid rollers, I bought some new ones, and some re rubbered ones, where you take your old ones as an exchange

You should paint the rock Challenger yellow
The rock in the rock box?
Is it cheaper than an john deer
Flip flops in the shop????
I mean, do I recommend it? no. Have I done it? - Yes
Time for a logo change
Are you thinking a CAT instead of a Deere?
@6thGenFarmer you got it
So, your not really leaving the family farm by the looks of it??

@@6thGenFarmer maybe if you worked outside on your equipment and didn’t have dad constantly supporting you. You wouldn’t be such an arrogant a hole
I thought you are starting your own farm
There seems to be some confusion. I’ll have to make another video clearing everything up soon! Thanks for asking
First
the background noise music whatever it is is horrible. extremely distracting!!!! plz delete!!!!
