- Join me on an epic solo trip to the Galapagos islands for an amazing week of snorkeling, scuba diving and island hopping. The Galapagos Islands is one of the worlds most important marine island ecosystems in the world. Full of unique species of plants, birds and tortoise it also protects huge swaths of ocean, and I was lucky enough to visit this place for 8 days. I started off on the Island of San Cristobal for a few days before heading off on a small ship cruise around the southeastern islands to see some of the most incredible marine life of my life.

Do you like to learn about history and animals while traveling or just relax?
Swimming with a sea turtle in the Caribbean was such a highlight for me. I waited for hours to find one and just as I was leaving a small private island in Nassau, I finally found one. Turtles are one of my favorite animals, Such a peaceful animal. We can all learn so much from them.

If I’m traveling in a city rather than the wild it is great fun to learn about history and animals!
I do love to learn about animals behaviour so much on land and underwater and relaxing is come every minutes that I spend time with them animals (above and underwater).
It is interesting to know that Charles Darwin stayed just 15 days at the Galapagos Islands.

Wow, what a place! I’m with you, I think it’s so great that the Ecuadorian people have protected this area and continue to do so. It’s so easy to go about my daily life and not be conscious of the fact that there is a whole other world of amazing creatures we share this planet with who live underwater. So beautiful. This is one of my favorite videos. Once you got on boat and island it was total immersion. I can't get enough of wild life, sea experience, marine animals. The cruise. I'm glad you filmed so much of the animals. That makes sense considering your unique environment. Darwin is proud of you. He could have never known that someday there would be a superwoman using electronics to film the animals he was observing and sketching, and her film would be instantly shared around the world. Walking on beach with animals there. Swimming and snorkeling with sea life. Your video was great. Walking right past the giant sea lion lounging. When I lived in southern California, we'd go seaside and hang with the seals a lot, so this video brought me back to the experience. 👍. Hope you get your postcard from an interesting person who can share Galapagos stories with you.

Alice, this was wonderful! You had a nicer boat than we did 20 years ago-that one was illegally modified and was hence top heavy. So about a 1/2 year after our amazing trip on it the captain made a bad move, which capsized and it sank... Another boat picked everyone up after soaking in the ocean for a few hours.

Fantastic video of the Galapagos. Great scenery under water and above, and a good way to explore is on that cruise ship. We can all learn a lesson from the local Government preserving the Islands in it's natural beauty and to limit the number of people allowed at once. Thanks for sharing! Love the hat ❤.

That is so true! Zoos are a wonderful way for the masses to see wildlife when managed correctly but there is nothing quite like actually experiencing them free and wild

When you swim in sea, the lovely fishes and turtles all like to play with you and they are such beautiful animals created by God. I am sure my dream that the mermaid beauty fairy has become true. Your video is a treasure to me that I like to watch everyday.

Depends on the shot but I either use the Sennheiser shotgun mic or the wireless G2

That was part of a whale carcass our onboard naturalist said that years prior a dead whale had washed up on the shores of this island

Which month did you went there? and How many days did you was on Coral I ? I am a serious scuba diver but I don't think to jump right it just only for diving in Galapagos would be a smart choice because on land has so much to offer and I would love to see them all. I went the last week of February. For scuba diving you will need to go from land before or after your cruise or book a liveaboard the cruises do not offer scuba diving only snorkeling

We would like to do a cruise that we can do snorkeling. Do you have some suggestion? It’s very expensive to rent a Airbnb or hotel?
