If the Amazons in Brazil are the lungs of planet Earth, the Tubbataha National Park in the Philippines is the spawning ground of marine life in our vast ocean. We humans must take care of nature so that Mother Nature will take care of us.

Marine biologist was my dream as a kid too and here I am. My advice to you is not to over protect them in the marine environment. Let them discover things on their own but under supervision. At 8 they can start introduction to scuba diving but limit them to 3 m instead of 6m. I started as a scuba diver because I love marine biology. After finishing my marine biology course I was already a diving instructor with over 2000 dives and certified over 300 students. I was so addicted that I ending up buying a diving center in the Indian Ocean. Today I am retired with well over 15000 dives and a lot of certified students. It's a real adventure much better than owning sport cars or be rich and dumb. One of my students and assistant shared my passion I gifted him the diving center to carry on the legacy because now am old and diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes and diving don't work well together. I really lived my life to the best and not afraid to leave this world.

Indeed the Philippines should be one of the richest countries on earth. It has incredible beauty, Nice weather, vast amounts of natural resources and an educated but welcoming people. Your one downfall is that you do not embrace capitalism but leftist ideology. It has destroyed your country. Marcos brought great wealth to the Philippines because he embraced the western capitalist mindset. Every leader since him has destroyed wealth of the Philippines. Hopefully young Marcos will embrace his father's legacy. The requirement of masks in the ranger station is so absurd but its what you leftists do. It's a sign post of the foolishness of leftism.
I am soon coming to the Philippines to set up an orphanage. I will teach them to be true capitalists. Maybe one of them will grow up to be president. But if young Marcos does not radically get rid of the leftist system of governance, the Philippines is headed for disaster. In the US, the leftist idiot now in charge is destroying everything he touches. This will literally kill many of the world's poor. Gas prices have more than doubled for poor of the world but it is just the tip of the iceberg. Everything is going to get much worse except for those places that truly embrace capitalism.
So many South Koreans come to the Philippines for vacation. They have embraced true capitalism and it has made them wealthy. And South Korea has no where near the natural resources of the Philippines. If the Philippines ever embraces true capitalism it will be far wealthier than South Korea. I sure hope so but I honestly don't see it.

The Tubbataha Reefs are undisputedly right within Philippine territory and not part of the disputed waters of West Philippine Sea or South China Sea. The Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is located in the middle of the beautiful Sulu Sea so it's right within Philippine territory. Hence, China cannot make any false claim that they own Tubbataha because it's not even part of the disputed Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) but an integral part of the Philippine territory!

I did a lot of diving and underwater still photography in the Philippines from 1983-87 and 1990 returned for another five year tour during which I had a 10-meter boat constructed in Batangas giving it to our boatman when leaving. I did hundreds of dives around Anilao and also took trips to Apo, Moal Boal, Mactan Cebu, Puerto Gallera and El Nido several times. Tubbataha is still on my bucket list because it was the one well known dive spot I missed due to the difficulty getting there in those days.
Back then we worried about the future of the reefs due to dynamite and cyanide fishing (to capture aquarium fish) and pollution. I’m very glad to see there is now an active conservation movement there and that in some of the places I’ve revisited via your videos things are much improved.

Tubbataha may have derived its name from 2 Samal words ‘tubba’ and ‘taha’ which means ‘long reef exposed at low tide’ but this name could also come from Hebrew which means ‘tub’ (good things) ‘ba’ (in the) ‘ta’ (chamber) ‘ha’ (behold) referring to the Garden of Eden which was submerged underwater when God flooded the earth.

    My admiration to Tubbataha 🌊
Back when I was still in Grade 3, famous na kaayo ang Tubbataha Reef and my interest has grown labi nag makakita kog pictures sa mga libro sauna pag elementary nako. Amazed lang jud ko kaayo ani nga lugar and up until now, this nature park is so beautiful- a park of its own. I hope I can visit soon and many more can wander and explore the wonders and enchanting depths of Tubbataha. I have so much admiration of our waters and it’s marine life and makasad nga daghan na kaayong mga species ang classified as endangered na today. Let’s help preserve our waters - our marine life. Dili ta dapat mutugot nga ang atong mga sagbot ang mupatay sa atong kadagatan. Padayon ta mga Sea Saviors! 💙
Thank you, Finn Snow for this amazing masterpiece! Such an inspiration. Kudos!

What an exceptional video, which thoroughly captures the beauty and amazement of the Tubataha reef. I recall my first visit to The Philippines, especially Palawan 24 year's ago this very week. I stayed at The Trattoria Inn on Rizal Ave and a travel/adventure company were nextdoor called 'Go-Palawan'. I recalled they did live aboard two or maybe 3 nights near the Tubataha reef for about $200 which was a steal at the time, but i couldn't attend, as I'd perforated my tinpannum (eardrum) many years before snorkeling in Rhodes. Devastated, to say the least.

You should understand that what you are doing goes beyond your imagination because this video is like a docummentary and will be seen hundreds of years into the future by our next generations who will admire your passion, faith and love. Congrats Finn.
