    We should’ve watched your video before. We managed to have our honeymoon at the Galapagos and it was incredible. We arrived at San Cristóbal, took a boat to Puerto Ayora, and flew back from Baltra. We had limited time, but everything worked out. Keep in mind that the entry fee costs now 200 usd, and the entry permit should be organized in advanced. Unless you want to spent one night in Guayaquil or Quito.

      oh wow that's sad they increased entry fee but hope they invest it all into islands protection. how do you organize entry permit in advance? online?

    • @ilciavo
      @ilciavo 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ We hired a travel agency in Guayaquil that arranged the permits for us. You can also do it yourself online, but we didn’t want to risk it since we only had 1.5 hours to change flights in Guayaquil. And just to be precise, the entry fee depends on your nationality.

    I arrived yesterday on Santa Cruz, my flight back is from Baltra again, but I will be os San Cristobal, so having to get back will make my stay shorter, bummer, I wish I had known one can fly back from San Christobal

    This is by far one of the best guides on Galapagos island on TH-cam! Thank you for sharing! I'm now a bit intimidated by the boat transport situation 😢..
    How would you rate the quality of the snorkeling gear provided at the tours? Do they also rent the wetsuits?
    Many thanks again for the detailed guide🙏

      Thanks for the feedback, happy to hear this! Snorkeling equipment was good enough to see the marine beauty of the Galapagos and yes they rent wetsuits as well.

    Fantastic and super informative video! I've been scouring all Galapagos videos and yours has been the most helpful. I do have a question though - you've shown several times the photo of the tour operator NOT to work with but I can't actually see their names. What is the name of the agency?

      Рад, что видео оказалось полезным! Мы бронировали все туры не заранее, а уже на острове по прибытию - это дешевле, но более рискованно. Агентство, про которое плохо отзываюсь в видео называется Leverotrans SA (они на о. Санта Круз) - из-за них мы так и не попали на главный остров Бартоломе. Сейчас я сотрудничаю с агентством Happy Gringo, которое специализируется на путешествиях по Эквадору и Галапагосским островам. Я рекомендую посетителям моего сайта обращаться к ним. У них замечательная команда, отличные отзывы, и они помогут заранее забронировать все туры на островах, а также грамотно спланировать маршрут. Если захотите узнать у них цены, буду благодарен, если заполните форму на моем сайте: mytrip2ecuador.com/get-free-quote/. Они свяжутся с вами, а я получу небольшую комиссию, если вы в итоге закажете туры через это агентство.

    Hi Oleg,
    Thank you for so detailed itineraries! Could you please confirm which SIM card do you recommend using in Ecuador & Galapagos, the ESIM or a normal SIM? I found you referred to two source.. Thanks again!

      I was told to only travel mid December to May if I want to see clear water conditions, instead of cloudy water. We want to travel in August. How did you decide which month to travel?

    • @mytrip2somewhere564
      @mytrip2somewhere564  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ClaudiaAstudillo-p3f Generally, you can travel to Galapagos any time of the year. Each month is unique. The ones that are warmer usually have way more people as well which is not good for some ppl. do you know if there is private water taxis I can take between Isabela Island and San Cristobal, or taking the plane is the only option?

    • @mytrip2somewhere564
      @mytrip2somewhere564  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think there is such a boat, I'd recommend taking plane because two boat rides is not the way you want to spend your day at the Galapagos.

    • @mytrip2somewhere564

    Looks like dead flora

    • @mytrip2somewhere564
      @mytrip2somewhere564  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The flora on the Galápagos Islands might appear "dead" or lifeless at certain times, especially during the dry season, but it’s not actually dead. The islands have a harsh, arid environment, and many plants have adapted to these conditions by going dormant during dry periods to conserve water.
      During these times, the vegetation can look brown, dry, and withered, which might give the impression that it's dead. However, when the rainy season returns, these same plants often burst back to life, turning green and vibrant again.
