I get seasickness BUT I’ve told my husband I don’t care. We are going to Antarctica. I will deal with it. I have to experience this. Just watching your video, and others like it, gets me emotional. It’s absolutely incredible.
That was absolutely stunning. The views are so pristine, I can only imagine what it would be like to be there because a picture never gives respect to the real thing, as being there, as you know. Antarctica reveals itself a mystical land and the soundtrack helped to make it feel that way. How lucky you were to be there and witnessed such a landscape. WOW ❄️🌊💨
Fascinating video, but seeing how cold you are, and considering I'm a very acclimated desert rat, seldom experiencing frost, I'm just going to sit in my heated office and enjoy the scenery you so thoughtfully provide.
Such a well-put-together record of your wonderful trip to Antarctica. Very informative! Really appreciated not being blasted with huge background music- what you chose is very appropriate. Thank you- an all 'round great presentation.
Great and informative video, Alice! I enjoyed all your excursions, except I did not see the overnight camping. Did the weather prevent you all from the camping experience? I am going to Antarctica in February 2025, and I hope to experience it all. Thank you for your video! ❤🎉
Amazing stunning place, I haven't seen any so beautiful. A lifetime experience! Another great perfect video 🥰🥰 I enjoyed very much. Beautiful and peaceful. Keep exploring! 🙏🫶
Alice, this is the best video I ever seen on Antarctica. Thanks is for making it! Also I am so happy to see the measures that tour companies are doing to protect this place. I would do as you recommend taking the small ship and would use this tour company that your on. I could spend a month in the southern part of America doing this tour follow by hiking in Patagonia. Thanks Dave
Wow, thank you so much Dave that really means a lot. I spent about three weeks in Patagonia after this cruise and the next video will be on part one of that experience.
This is an awesome video! Thank you for sharing your adventures. I’d like to see the inside of the cabin. How is the food? How is the service? Is this a typical cruise type or they cut down some luxury comforts to focus on the excursions? Thank you
The inside of the cabin is shown at the beginning of the video. It’s an expedition cruise so there is an extra restaurant option and a spa and bar, onboard activities are lectures and learning, the focus is really on the place and not about needing to be entertained onboard like a huge cruise
To my knowledge fishing is pretty restricted in Antarctic waters everything below 60° south is in the marine protected zone. I didn’t see anyone or any fishing vessels while we were in Antarctic waters.
I like the piano music added in, Inception by Hans Zimmer works well for timelapse videos. If you could go back 90 million years ago, Antarctica was connected to S. America & Australia, it had tropical rainforests and dinosaurs.
Hey Alice. You might be the dry land equivalent of Jacques Cousteau! So informative, beautifully photographed, and great narrative. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Would love to see some Drake's Passage footage.
Alice, Please check out LeafSide Meals by Dr. Michael Greger which are WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED, just add hot water, LeafSide looks perfect for backpacking. I just found your Channel a couple of days ago. Your photography is ethereal but it seems that the Dolomites are not for Americans even though the topography is magical. Especially liked your Catalina Island video. I landed at the Catalina Island Aiport in 1953 on a DC3 from LAX then spent a week at Catalina Guest Ranch. Keep Trucking SoCal Style. John
Took me a couple days to get here...busy weekend...but wow that was stunning. Another great video. I would love to do something like this...but I'm not sure Dramamine would even be enough. 🤣
Wow!!!! What an beautiful video, I never saw anything like what you have shown us. I have said it before, you go to some of the most beautiful places on the earth!!! It's to bad you weren't able to swim with the Penguins when you did your polar plunge :) Your the luckiest women I know to do and see these place before man destroys them all.
@@AliceFordAdventures It was often snowing, and you were travelling through water with no condensation coming from anybody so what do you mean by that?
Nice video, but one correction: Humans have introduced over 200 invasive species to the continent. I just returned from a similar trip with Nat Geo. I agree with most of your observations and always appreciate your videos.

@@justmacyy it’s going to blow you away. And once you’re out of the drake passage the ocean is relatively calm and you should hopefully be fine

Fantastic video! This one I’ll be watching several times. Thanks for sharing! Question; was there any one fishing, commercial or recreational?
To my knowledge fishing is pretty restricted in Antarctic waters everything below 60° south is in the marine protected zone. I didn’t see anyone or any fishing vessels while we were in Antarctic waters.
Thanks
So amazing! Adding that to my bucket list
Why we love nature??
Thanks Alice what a great video. I never knew that the Antarctica was so beautiful.
It really is! Thank you so much for watching
I have just started planning my trip for 2025, thanks for your video
First of all… congrats on making it to Antarctica! Great presentation and enthusiasm. Secondly… that penguin floating on his own iceberg. 😭
Thank you and yes I hope he made it home
Thanks!

Yes thank you wild to think of what it must have looked like when it was connected to Australia
It's interesting that marsupial fossils go back to 90 million years too.@@AliceFordAdventures

Wow, thank you! The ocean footage I showed is from the drake but certainly look up some videos from other ships if you want to see some crazier seas.
I love your video, sending ❤ from Philippines
Love it! Thanks for sharing.

what time of the year did you go please

Nice production . Lucky trip .

Why is there no condensation coming off your breath?
@@RobertLeavitt-dc4zb probably because Antarctica is extremely dry.
