The head of the hornet looks like a drop of a liquid to me. Which would subtly tie it in to the whole chemical business thing. I had the logo as the home screen on my phone for a while, I liked it so much.

Will, my thought is that some of the bad design elements (such as too much text in the Vamonos Pest logo), is absolutely on purpose. The bad design reflects the unfortunate reality that bad design is often the rule rather than the exception for small enterprises. The design couldn't look too professional… it would ruin the authenticity of that place and time.

I worked in the art dept on BCS for 2 seasons as an assistant. Most logos were built by our in house graphic designer with an incredibly short turn around. It is likely that the pest logo was put together by whomever their graphic designer was as the time.
And felina is the name of the girl that the cowboy is in love with in the song El Paso by Marty Robbins, Walt was listening to it at the start of the episode!!

One thing that's mildly bugged me in Better Call Saul regarding logos: The CC Mobile logo uses Calibri, despite the fact that the season it makes it's debut is supposed to take place years before the font was made available. Also, while the logotype is skewed, it doesn't use the italicized version, it's literally just the non-italicized version with a skew.

One thing I kinda disagree on, though mostly because I have a gripe with the overall branding of it, is the Los Pollos Hermanos one being appropriate. The whole Mexican branding for it makes no sense. The founders aren't Mexican, they don't make Mexican food, and I don't think it helps stick out in New Mexico for it to be used despite the other 2 issues.
As a chemistry nerd it greatly angers me as W(tungsten) is 74 not 110 and it is between Titanium and Chrome rather than tantalum and Rhenium also that Phosphorus is no longer number 15 but now the number 101

That's the main thing that is important with this one. They didn't set out to make a timeless icon that will be used everywhere. They created an appropriately Mexican food logo...
