They shouldn't have needed the rear Diff. Lock to get around that first slightly uphill left hand turn, the Traction Control could have handled that given a second or two to work out what's going on. It does however highlight one of the short comings of Independent Suspension, they generally have a lot less wheel travel than a 'live axle' set up which can result in lifting a wheel off the ground more often. It would be interesting to watch a Prado go around the same corner to see if it lost traction too; I don't think it would...
I find that the problem with videos is managing to show the viewer things like how steep or how slippery the track is, and that sort of thing. By the way I'm a big fan of Pajero.
Bill Blinky Exactly. You sit in the car and think OMG is that steep and crazy terrain! And then you look from the outside and think: hmm.. doenst look too bad. I used to drive Motocross, same there. From the outside you see a small jump, sitting on the bike you almost piss your pants ;-)

A diff lock forces the driveshafts to turn at the same speed, but NOT with the same torque. For example if one wheel is off the ground, its driveshaft will have basically zero torque while the opposite driveshaft has all of the torque from locked differential.
I am a Gen II Pajero owner, and it´s my 4th Mitsubishi, so you can tell that I like it. Although since Gen 3 it all went wrong for Mitsubishi. This is not an off-road car, it´s just a 4x4 car, just by the tyres I can tell that you can´t do anything serious with this car. This test is ridiculous, do you call this off-road? I could do that with a normal car. Slippery log bridge (with steel mesh to gain traccion) LMFAO. I put my Gen2 side by side with Land Rover Defender, Nissan Patrol, Jeep Rubicon, etc... Real Off-Road cars. This is just one more of Barbie´s car...
I feel like this car is a budget lr3/lr4 that is reliable and will go just about anywhere for a stock vehicle. I love it!
Drew indeed :)
By modern standards they feel a bit agriculture on the road. But off road it's just in it's natural habitat ~
I have the 06, and I would never trade it for a Disco :) I agree with you :)
@@sheldonmurphy6031 : Disco is a breed apart, another class altogether... No comparison
Beautiful 4x4! the monster of off-road
true it's really on of the top contenders in offroad!
still holds look of proper SUV unlike modern fluidic design shits which makes suv look like MPV

An epic machine.

Nothing personal but I haven't seen "Off-road" here.. BTW, I own Pajero4 as well..
+Goodwin2110 Every offroad video you could possible post is not hard enough - I know :D
جديد
and where off-road???
wow mate how do you even call it offroad..
you must be a pro dakar driver!
Wojciech Słabik because its not on road .....
please review montero sport
THIS DOES NOT LOOK OFF ROAD.. MAKE IT REAL OFF ROAD...
I know there are always people who can do even harder
That was a cool video liked it a lot, keep them coming

thanks for clearifying!
👍
Drive it on ffs
Bruta!
Is this mk3 or mk4? What year?
Hey, that's MK4. Modelyear 2013. There is no newer one yet, afaik.
standard with difflock or just an option?
I am pretty sure that's standard!
No it’s an option

A KIA Sportage can easily go over this road. It doesn't pose any challenges!
