That's actually first time I see that Park Assist may be faster than quite a lot of the drivers when parking 😀 that's probably because it's semi automated and driver control speed and shifter (usually those full automated parking are sooo sloooow 🙂 ). Nice demonstration.
TBF I retrofitted this system to my MK7.5 Comfortline but never really used it. My initial use for the PLA system is the 12 sensors fully around the car. Instead of really using park pilot, I park much faster than use this system.

Why the yellow lines (bending with the angle of the steering wheel) not displayed in rear view camera display mode 0:25 (neither as an overlay on the camera image, nor on the left side in the "small" sensor window), only in the ParkAssistant (ParkPilot) screen 0:32, which shows the sensor info on full screen? (Just to be clear on the topic, if you are reversing and switch to the ParkPilot screen, there you would have the yellow lines "behind" your car also while reversing.)
I'm not sure that I understood you correctly. But! The big icon of car with yellow lines are showed when you drive forward (this car didn't have front camera). When you reversing you see image from the camera with guidance lines. It's completely pointless to show these image over the real video from camera.

And how well does it work in a parking garage? There, the parking spaces are often very narrow. Especially when there is a pillar.
Works great. In fact, it parks in spaces that are too small to get easily out of the car, if you are in a pinch. Never had any issues with the system.
Real test? What a joke... My grandma could make that park...

It is a Golf VII FL with 1.4 TSI (150 HP) highline + (almost) all assists systems

It is not easy to find narrow space for such park test exactly when you want in the area when you want (enough space for video recording) :)
