thanks for the honest comments and feedback. You were right on the point without wasting time. I appreciate it! I got my car today and I am gonna try it :)
I was so excited for the memory parking feature, when I got my ID.4 a few months ago. Turns out it's completely useless, since our driveway and garage are way too tight for it to function. It just slams the brakes, when it gets to close to anything and hands control back to me. The automatic parking is neat, but embarrassingly slow to wait for, if there are other people around.
Hi, Thanks for the video. I have an ID5 with software 3.2 including Parking plus. It works fine. I have a question. Do you know if VW intends to bring some OTA for older ID models including perhaps battery pre heating for this winter. This is really what is missing in my car. All the rest works quite 👍 Thanks in advance for your feedback 😉
i belibe the parking memory is navigation linked and related.. beacsu ei have a chinese import and where i live the navigation does not work.. and i am unable to save any location
Well, it is a bit faster to park yourself but an automated parking is really cool and comfortable. It works quite well even in a small parking space. However in most scenarios, it is better to park yourself, in example parking on a busy road when another car is behind you, parking diagonally, parking on a hill, parking partially on a sidewalk or parking when other cars are not parked ideally (it uses other cars as a guideline for parking, not horizontal markings on the road). My big disappointment was that it does not detect my home parking space, which is between a wall and a pillar (not between cars), despite the fact that it is quite wide - 270 cm.
I use it sometimes to go down in my garage and put the car properly to do a park by only going backwards. It does what you expect. The only problem is that when I go near the garage, since it's underground, the car can't get the position, so it can't help me to do the real manouver to park the car in the garage. That's annoying!
The camera picture still seems to be low resolution, bad and blurry. Hard to see anything in harsh lighting situations. Whereas BMW and other brands show a crystal clear picture, Volkswagen group still seems to use camera technology from the last century.
@@alfredgreybeard What should I use the mirrors for? For example, I have to go up a ramp forwards, the route is bordered by several short pillars that you can't see. No problem with a small car, the BMW shows everything crystal clear and the distance sensors work. The Buzz makes a continuous whistling sound when there is still about 70 cm of space and the camera shows mud, grey pillars on a grey surface cannot be recognized. I wish I could agree with you, but the picture quality at VW is miserable.
it is a nice party trick.. but I almost NEVER works. I have an id4 from 23. It can't park, if there are not clearly marked parking lines, it can not park, if there are no other cars. if you are at a parking place, where cars are parked side by side, and there are no lines.. it can not park.. even if you drive very slow
It seems not much better than the Park Assist I have on my Cupra Leon ST. Mine only wants to work with places that require zero parking skills. I can park manually in very tiny places while this thing does not see most of the very decent places I propose him. For the few times it accepts to park the car (in huuuuuuge places), I feel very embarrassed for the trafic jam I create as this thing is so slow. Don't spend any money on that crap...

Thanks for the effort to produce the video of this. Interesting to see in action.
Thanks for the video! Do you know if “Park Assist Plus” is the same thing as “Park Assist Pro”?
I love your pants!
ps: cooles Video, danke Dir

Same with Enyaq. Its easy to park when theres pleanty of space and you dont need assist. And in tight spots it cant do it. Useless indeed
I agree and when the brakes slam on it nearly puts me through the windscreen
Chris, does it work when memory parking into your covered parking space or garage? Is it only effective parking in open spaces without any roof cover?
@@chryschrysostomou5392 covered parking is not an issue, it's not based on GPS alone. I have covered parking. It works but not if too tight spot. :D
Do you know if this standard on the match pro?

can you get it to reverse into the space? ( charge port is at the rear)
Is this function available for an offline account?

And what about Remote Parking? Isn't it part of Park Assist Plus?
No, extra option
Can it get by with only 10 cm of space each side? What is the limit?
Very interesting, if not something I’d be likely to use.
Question - does the car alert you if you get out and leave your phone on the charger?
Anyone?
Will you keep the white one? 😅
Maybe it ”rocks”, but I find it is always quicker to do the parking yourself.
I doubt you could have done that quicker and on the first try.

Some of us can park easily and others are just hopeless. ParkAssist is for these people.
It’s slower but it’s good on tight spaces and on parallel parking. And you can gather your stuff and prepare to leave while the car is parking 😅
Can’t you Update the software in Hank to do that ?
not available in the UK
Yes it is
Never seen such a complicated explanation for such a simple thing.

On my ID.4 with software 4.0 it saves it, it can execute it, but I have to manually start it. The pop-up never comes automatically
Drunk German trying to park at home 😂. Attention, because it's very common in Germany to denounce the neighbors.

Use your mirrors more, the picture is great

Thanks, but compare to Tesla vision, this one is like XBOx 360 compare to PS5

What about parking the car yourself?
You aren't selling this!
Is there only one car company in the world to talk about? What happened to all the others?
