Dick Grayson Batman was a tragedy. He was so interesting in the role, and Dick is arguably the most important character in comics because he represents change and progression. So the fact he moves up to be Batman but its ALSO an enjoyable run? I'm sad it ended. Dick Batman, Tim Red Robin. BOTH were so fun to read, and I got into them right when New 52 wass starting.
Best quote: "A billionaire that keeps punching poor people because his parents are dead". I love Batman, but that line was absolutely hilarious, and so TRUE!!!! Hahahahaha!
Don’t forget Batman Gotham Adventures. It's the companion to Batman the Animated Series season 4 (renamed The New Batman Adventures). That had the longest run of the three tie-ins, I think 60 issues or so. And its so cool that it extends the stories of that era in the "DCAU" because we only really got one season of it but almost 6 or 7 years of tie-in comics. So more adventures with Nightwing, Robin and Batgirl!!!
@@mofftarkin6010 That's kinda the whole plot! There wasn't much similarity in them except the batman, gordon, and harvey interactions and sub plots... and two face..
If you haven't read it, I highly recommend "Blind Justice" by Sam Hamm, for the 600th issue of Detective Comics in 1989. Hamm is a screenwriter (see Tim Burton's Batman). For his comic arc, Hamm did NOT go for the predictable Joker story, or an "all the rogues gallery getting together to take Batman out" plot. Instead he creates a conspiracy within Wayne Technologies, compelling Bruce Wayne and Batman to make choices, and accept consequences, that must be lived with. Hamm's story is also based on science (even if it is science fiction, but no magic, supernatural, etc), and morality, which make the best stories imo, and it explores some of the true costs of being Batman, how Bruce Wayne reinforces his obsessive focus and motivation almost daily, and the price he pays for it.
1. Batman Hush 2. Batman: Knightfall 3. Batman : The Long Halloween 4. Batman: Dark Victory 5. Batman: Court of Owls 6. Batman: Year One 7. Batman: Adventures 8. Batman: Death in the Family 9. Batman: One Year Later 10. Batman: Dark Knight Returns
Man there's so many great Batman stories, I'll narrow it to 10 for me. 1. The Killing Joke 2. Hush 3. Tom King's Run (specifically I Am Suicide) 4. Dark Night: A True Batman Story 5. The Long Halloween 6. Batman & Robin by Peter J. Tomasi 7. The Cult 8. New Gotham by Greg Rucka 9. Earth One 10. Detective Comics by Paul Dini
I would like to see batman the "superhero" on film. not the detective, not the police, THE superhero doing superhero stunts and everything the russos said they wanted to make a batman movie. I think that would be my movie
I love The Long Halloween & Dark Victory. They are both superb 🦇

Black Mirror, Gothic, and 24/7 are some of my favorites.

“Almost Got ‘Im” and maybe “Killing Joke.”
Knightfall(AzBat)
Death of The Family(Joker’s Revenge)and
Court of Owls(Lincoln March aka Thomas Wayne Jr)
The Dark Knight was kind of an adaptation of the long halloween.
There is a difference between adaptations and taking inspiration
@@RadinV1 the only thing missing is the Holiday Killer

See ya chump
Mocking Batman on a video called Batman’s best stories. Nice
Yay! If you do this for all of the justice league I would not complain ;) especially for female characters
Morrison has the best Batman run in years for sure. Snyder and King both borrow heavily from him.
Jason, no need to apologize for speaking the truth about Dick's superiority as Batman.
Still dark Knight Returns is unbeatable to me
No Man's Land
Edit: Also June 3rd is the greatest day ever. A good day to live.
Y’all forgot Year One!
Nananananannanana batman... Rip is the best batman story don't shoot me

Sick shirt Jason!
Killing Joke
My favorite is an old Brave and the Bold story featuring Batman, the Earth-Two Robin and Batwoman (Kathy) vs. Hugo Strange
Na na na na na na na na Batman

I'm sorry, but batman isn't a superhero. He's a detective with amazing and realistic fighting skills, gadgets and intelligence.
