    I have been using this for over a year with no problems. It has helped clean the floor and air for my husband's asthma, lung damage, and COPD better than anything else. 14 of my friends use it and got rid of their old vacuums. It is the best for cleaning pet dander. I let it run for 24 hours with no problem. Just refill the water when it's low.

    I had my first rainbow 15 years ago and never have a problem, I kept it until I trade-in for the new SRX and it is AWESOME, my wife likes it so MUCH that she uses every single just as an air purifier, deodorizer, vaporizer, kill any virus, and aromatizer in one unit. Just see for yourself and don't judge the machine because another person did not like it for any reason. Highly recommend the machine.

    My friend has been pleased with this vacuum. I put it together and other than one of the wheels coming back out(which I had a bit of difficulty with) th-cam.com/users/postUgkxnBiz5H40H0BTcRcPDEHZkcV2smSjfUD0 it was easy to assemble. It's worked well and the large size has been handy for vacuuming up sawdust around my friend's tablesaw. The wheels and handle make it simple to move around, so the bulky size isn't overly a negative, unless you're lacking on space. It has a bag that can be used to collect the dust, though it doesn't have to be used. It works perfectly great without it and it is an added expense when replacing the bag. If vacumming water, just leave it out. It comes with various attachments, which are handy. A durable bag attaches to the handle to hold them and I love this feature. It has good power and it's a nice option for a shop vac.

    I love ours, we just got it. We have had a few others this is by far the best. As for using the rainbow to suction the dirt and allergens out of cushions and pillows, that is cleaning it much better than just throwing them in the washer. You’re not supposed to just throw those things in the washer and if you do you’re just washing the junk in there. Not removing it.

    With all due respect….Thank you for showing this model. I’ll stick with my black E2. I, however, will NEVER buy another bagged vacuum EVER again. With severe allergies and asthma this vacuum is the ONLY one that I can run without getting a sinus infection from all the kicked up dust. Yes, I have tried Dyson, Bissel, Hoover’s, etc. Nothing like a face full of dust!
    I’ve had mine for 5 years and it was 5 years old when I bought it refurbished from a dealer. I LOVE that if something gets stuck I just simply attach the hose to the outlet, put the nozzle in the intake and BAM no more clog! Don’t know any other vacuum that can do that! I also don’t have to buy any supplies just to use it. ALSO, repairs are VERY easy and cheap! No other vacuum can you service yourself with TH-cam instructions (that I know of).
    If other vacuums suck better then good for them. But show me how much dirt they kick out! Let’s be honest here. Show me a comparison with another water filtration system.
    Let’s not forget that you can mop, clean your car, shampoo the carpets, etc. with ONE machine. Grant it you have to buy the attachments but it’s much easier than storing all of that stuff. Just my $0.02

    Thank you for your review. After having purchased the Rainbow SRX. I agree with you it is not worth the money. The power has been reduced. I hate the new power head. It does not get down into my carpet to clean. My sales person asked for $3200 (with payment plan about $1100 more). To her credit, I told her I did not want the vacuum within the 3 day back out period and she came and picked it up with no problems. People get a bagged vacuum that has a sealed system. If you want something of quality get a Miele or Sebo. ZeroG is good too.

    They do work good but it is like hauling around a shop vac through your house. And you have to take it apart, fill the tub with water, put it back together then pull it around the house. We like ours but pretty much never use it. We bought a Ryobi cordless stick vacuum and love it. You just grab it and walk around the house cleaning. Not cords or huge vacuum to pull around. When we finish vacuuming with the Ryobi, I charge the battery (which takes about 2 hours) and put it back on the vacuum and it is ready to go for the next time I want to use it. And I can clean the entire 2,400 sf house on just 1 charge.

    What would be the top 10 to 5 list of vacuums that use water to filter? I’m cleaning a car dealership with a shark duoclean, but was told by an employee that this rainbow vacuum is the best. Not feeling that from just the beginning of your video. Recommendations would be appreciated.

    • @gagainer
      @gagainer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @phoinexStrm is it primarily bareflooring? we small amounts of carpeting? I would not ever recommend a water vac for commerical cleaning. Rainbow is for a home environment only. I ran a cleaning company the last thing you want to have to keep doing is dumping water out..... plus they have the hepa filters because water doesn't catch all the dust...Depending on Surfaces... A backpack vac.. .which does come with HEPA filtration with a HEPA media bag... would make your life so much easier especially if its a larger dealership. Sebo and Riccar both make great products as well and are designed for commercial applications. If it were me, I would def have a back pack. My opinion. I can direct you to a couple of good units.

    I appreciate videos like this but, this video does have a few flaws. Yes, this video is your opinion, which is what I think most people (like myself) are looking for but to say we shouldn't run it 24/7 because the water will evaporate is a little ridiculous since that is what it is meant for. The water does in fact move on the lowest setting. It is simple to just add water each morning to the unit. Just like anything you purchase, there is a right way and a wrong way to use a product. If the water basin is filling up with crap while you clean, dump it out and refill it. Not sure how this is any different from a traditional vacuum where you would need to empty the bag or canister. As far as the unit always starting up on high, you are able to program it so it will always start on the speed the unit shut off at. This is extremely handy for when we lose power. Once the power starts up again, the unit doesn't start on high and scare everyone half to death. Again, as with anything you purchase, knowing what to use and how to use it is important. The power head was not the correct attachment to use on the hard surface to pick up the sand. Also, I didn't see the light turn on when the power head was moving so was it really on? You can really see the light lit up at the end of the video when they do the carpet. I had to go back and watch it twice since I really didn't pay attention the first time. It is advised that the power head NOT be used on real hardwood surfaces. The hardwood attachment is the correct attachment to use. Watching and listening to a demo from a certified dealer is the best way to go to be able to understand how to correctly use the unit. I have this unit and love it. I purchased it mainly for my allergies and have not had a migraine since I purchased it. I run it 24/7 and have no issues adding a little water each day since I open it up to add fragrances in anyway. My water basin would get just down right nasty when I first purchased it and started to clean. I just emptied the basin, added new water and continued on with my cleaning. It is really simple just to pop it open, dump the junk, add water and continue. Now, with that being said, this is the first Rainbow I have owned so I can't compare it to other models. I think this video is good for a one sided opinion but it does lack a lot of facts. Thanks for taking the time to review this product and posting this video to try to help.

  • @lorilong8537
    @lorilong8537 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I love your videos! I enjoyed this one. Honestly, a lot of what you don't like about the unit turns out to be helpful to me...but I'm weird. ;) The smaller water basin means a lighter unit overall and a smaller basin to empty, which is helpful to me due to back problems (but I'm used to making many small trips for that same reason, so changing the water a lot doesn't bother me). I could hardly lift the E2, but I can pick up the SRX and move it a foot or so, no problem. And it does move around my small house better than the E2 we had demoed years ago--it's just smaller. It's not as powerful, but I don't need the power for my situation. (It's really good that you tell people about that, though!) Anyway, I loved your review, and I think you cover the information very thoroughly, which helped me choose between the SRX and a used E2. I sure appreciate the time you take to provide all of this information in all of your videos on water vacs!

    This company has obviously adopted a multi-level marketing scheme to sell these vacuums. This thing is not worth the high price and they know that so they offer you a chance to get one free if you sign up for their program where if you sell a certain number you'll get a very small commission and a free unit. A complete scam, which is too bad because I do like the machine.

Also, on the wood? floor I don't believe you used the correct attachment. I haven't used mine enough yet to know how I really feel about it. The one thing I am a bit disappointed about is the manual is nothing more than a list with pictures of the vacuum and accessories. I'm sure I was told during the demonstration, but I don't remember everything from it. Also, I understand they insist upon you posting on your facebook. I was asked but replied I don't partake in social media. Now I have to go and use my Rainbow - I am hoping I will not disappointed for the amount of $ I spent.

    I worked for Rexair in top mgmt position during some of the design phase and planning of SRX. I know two themes seemed to work against each other during this time. Evolution vs Revolution. Sales for Rainbow (meaning from Rexair ) have declined over 15 years in a row. I believe this to be due to Direct selling model is really a bit of a dinosaur ( in my humble opinion) -- not saying this should be sold through other channels, as I know that's problematic -- just saying i think Direct sales is a dying breed. Therefore -- there was certainly a desire to "Revolution" some designs as to spur increased sales. Anyways -- one major driver of changes/improvements is the Distributors that Rexair sells to, worldwide. So smaller disti's have less say so and influence than larger ones -- seems to me anyway. I think they tried to "hybrid" this design ultimately and that's why it's so mixed reactions. You cannot have Revolution AND Evolution all in one. Something will lose. Revolution is NEW. Evolution is improved. My suggestion is to wait til SRX changes happen in next year or two for it to settle down. I could go on all day with examples - but thought i'd start with this. One example of this new design was rotating edge brushes on E2. For SRZ - they were removed, primarily due to Saudi Disti's complaining. Personally I loved that feature. But some hated it and it was removed. The stainless roller brush was really an attempt to appear more upscale, in my opinion. But it had design issues compared to E2 so you have the new center belt design. I don't think it achieved revolution and certainly was not evolution.

      Magnet Connector : A major complaint from prior series was difficulty getting hose connected and disconnected. The magnet design was settled on with a powerful magnet that would hold most general pulling of unit. It did greatly improve connectability for that particular problem.

      @jyoungGMAIL 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I dealt with Rainbow vacuum a very long time ago in 1977, I fell for it because I was young and stupid trying to support a friend that was working for them at the time. They were overpriced then and I guess that still are. Back in the day They had these high pressured demonstrations based on a pyramid marketing and sales system. I also suspect they still do that too. It is sad because just last week I purchased a new Frigidaire stainless steel gas stove, a hood, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and full installation for under the price of one Rainbow vacuum cleaner. If you have allergies or COPD this might be the right machine for you but there of other types of water vacuum systems that are around $800 dollars.

      this reminds me of 2 different occasions when it comes to door to door sales. first time was I was with an ex girlfriend and her family. they wanted me to come during this sale of copper jewelry that aligns your..... whatever. they knew how much of an open opinion skeptic I am. he put on a good show and very convincing too. there was one part that ruined it though. he made you stand feet together and see how far he can push you before you try to catch yourself. then you wear this copper stuff stand but with feet apart and amazingly you have better balance. well..... duh.
      the other time I was hurting for a job when I moved to a new city. I applied for a job to be a vacuum salesman. not door to door but in the mall or some other establishment. this vacuum was supposed to have a Porsche motor or some crazy thing. during the presentation he asked me to try it out in front of the class. I did and then I hat to push this button that was to make it work better or "suck" more. it didn't I felt no change saw no change and I really disappointed our trainer. they sent us to break I never went back.
      point is sitting through a demo they control what you see and hear and think. They are there to take your money no matter what. I would rather hear someone independent and has knowledge over other items than I would from someone more worried about their commission.

    I'm interested in becoming a salesman because I truly believe in the brand - grew up having one in our household. I realize the demonstrations can be rather lengthy, and I completely understand why this is necessary. I do however have a concern; as someone who suffers from IBS I may need to use the restroom once or more during the demonstration. Would I be permitted to shit in the customers home, or would I need to excuse myself and visit a public facility like a nearby McDonald's or something. I'm not sure how the company feels about asking customers to use their restrooms?

      @@MikeSmith-nk1ep thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I truly appreciate that. Unfortunately, its not something I have any control of. I'm also afraid that some customers may prefer that I didn't use their bathroom. I know it can be a somewhat funny topic, but in the situations where they say they'd rather I didn't use their bathroom, that would create a situation where I'm guessing I'd have to leave the machine in their home until I could return which could also be risky. I don't want to start the demonstration by informing them that at any given time I may need to have a bowel movement.

    I think what’s important to bring to the table is Facts.Fact is the Rainbow SRX is a certified air purifier by reputable institutions. Fact is water traps dirt a lot more effective then bags and filters because Fact is wet dirt and dust don’t fly. Fact is water has NO pores allowing small dust particles to escape. Fact is bags and filters loose airflow after pores clog. Fact is bags and filters are a continued cost and go to landfills. Fact is bacteria 🦠 develops in warm dark places. Is why you smell the odors when you start up bag / filter units. Not to mention a very comfortable home for dust mites. Fact is the Triethylene Glycol ingredient found in the Fresh-Air solution kills airborne germs is why many hospitals use it in there ventilation systems. Fact is by adding any of the 14 fragrances it will not only circulate old air with new air it will also aromatize. Fact is by adding hot tap water and eucalyptus you enjoy vaporized air. Fact is when you add any attachment to a pore free filtration vacuum you get more airflow/ suction for unlimited cleaning ability. Fact is we offer a 10 yr motor and controls warranty to original investors. Which means fact is at a $3000 investment you enjoy the highest levels of clean for $300 a year. Fact is the reason you don’t like the Rainbow because since you’re not a authorized dealer you can’t sell or get parts to service. Meaning you can’t make any money from this unit. Fact is every other unit you named happens to have NO certification proving it’s features performance. And even though I have many more facts, the last fact I’ll leave you with is. If you don’t have a Rainbow Cleaning system in your home, it’s because of these Facts you loose.

      Dry filtered vacuums actually spit dirt back out of the exhaust. AND they grind dirt down into your carpet.... Hense, why bissell doesn't go door to door and physically show you why their vaccum is superior. They can't, because it's not. Rainbow on the other hand puts out fresh clean air while you vaccum. I like the air conditioner system. I have had mine at least 2 years now. What I don’t like is the constant maintenance I have to do on the carpet vacuum head. I know I have to do better about stuff on the floor but my other vacuum head has no issues with hair or small strings that this machine will wrap up in the wheel. The awesome thing is I’ve not had to change out the belt in spite of the hair or small stuff the head catches. The hose is good but I make sure I keep it unclogged. Overall I like the machine but the price is way way too high for the performance. I won’t buy another Rainbow for the price.

After you do that take a razor knife and remove the ridges from the back rollers this will lower the nozzle closer to the carpet and significantly improve cleaning performance. It's a fact that SRX is weaker :D Sadly, they dropped in quality with the new model.

    LOL Good lord, the cult-like defense of this vac is AMAZING! Thank you for your review. I was curious to see the latest one as my D4C is on its last legs. Saw your Sirena review as well. They both were very informative. Thanks again!

      you can still buy parts for the D4C as i still do for my D3C....DON'T get rid of it! Just rebuild it!

      @@Monkeybuzzness Really? I just made a comment that parts are scarce for these machines, well on RainVac they are. That being said, I have an E2 Black and a D4B SE (Canadian model)

    When I sold them, I told people to look at the water as they were doing it. However, the machine will let you know it's full. You can empty and clean the pan.

    to be fair when your using the vaccum attachment earlier to pick up the sand your using the wrong attachement. You even say later in the video when your going over the attachements that one of the attachments is called the bare floor brush.

    Bag cleaners much expensive to upkeep. You need constantly buy bags and thry not unitised. In this you just replace water. Literally you on all things negative even on clever tricks that you can do with other vacuums.

      you have to have the rainbow serviced and hepa filter replaced... there is expense ...

  • @JulieMai_
    @JulieMai_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    One of the things I don't like about the Rainbow is dumping the dirty water in the tub.
    Also having to bend down, drag and pull the machine as I go. Bending up and down. Other machines it's just the cord so it's light.

    We've had ours for over 25 years. It still works extremely well. I used to sell them. That's how I have the one I have. They were a good machine, just way overpriced..imo, but value is based on what the customer will pay... I didn't pay the full price, Which if I remember correctly was over $1700.. I had to say no a few times, but the price came down to what I still considered too much at the time, but I figured if I was going to sell them. I could offer to sell mine as a demo model. Which is how I got mine... for about 40% off, it was used. I would not buy one of the new ones.
