My mom has had our rainbow 🌈 e series since she got it new in 1998 and it still works strong 💪🏻 we will only own a rainbow 🌈 vacuum cleaner. We looked at a new one a few months ago but we’ll wait til to buy a new one when the time is right. My nana had a rainbow 🌈 from 1965 that ran 37 years and bought a new one and still has her rainbow 🌈 e series 2. Rainbow 🌈 are the best vacuum cleaners ever built. Built to last forever.
I have my eSeries that I bought in 2001. It still works great and has worked great for the last 21 years. It has more suction than any of the less expensive vacuums, i.e. every other vacuum on the market.
Rainbow is probably in fact the best cleaning system, I have had one since 1994. I cannot believe that this wonderful technology has this presentation that seems to be stuck in time, . it is already outdated for 1994, imagine now. I highly recommended if you are a perfectionist, an OCD, or if you simply are a thorough cleaner. It is worth every penny, and if you take care of it it will last forever!
Can you explain the water/filter system? Can these be used as air cleaners aside vacuum purposes? Im thinking if my aunt has a newer version of this and recall hers also being an air cleaner
I needed this guide. My e-series came today from ebay. I have owned a Kirby cleaning system and it was *nothing* compared to my first (and this) rainbow ! The water isn't meant to be "clean as she suggests" - it's meant to show you how to fill and empty it ! Because I was short funds - after my D series died, I got the Kirby - got rid of it on ebay and then just went out in frustration and got a Bissell (now *that's* the crappiest hoover ever built ! ) . I just used my Rainbow after cleaning with the Bissell and the mud that came up was disgusting ! THANK YOU for posting this - he didn't send the owners manual and I will d/l that off the internet !
bought mine new in 2006 (not from a demo) just because I wanted one..gold 2 speed. Approaching 19 years...People, it still looks new... operates like new... smells new... because, although I use it frequently, I take care of it...always clean the separator after every use whether it needs or not.. clean the basin, wipe those 2 little areas down where the dirt comes in and goes out into the basin...that's it... put away clean as a whistle...One thing is that I fill it with water about 1/2 above the dome.. no more than that. I think a little more water is better... but not overkill... the HEPA filters lasts so freaking long.... I changed mine about once every 5 years and literally can't tell a difference... but I do it because so much time has passed just to be safe.. Shining a light inside on the fans... they look really clean with only maybe a very minor bit of dust that might have escaped and went through onto the HEPA... but nothing crazy.. I see a lot of filthy rainbows on youtube..I think most people just don't care and end up slowly destroying them....probably unknowingly.
I have had a Rainbow VAC. Started with a 1992 & upgraded to a new one in 2014. I love it but it is getting to be to heavy as I get older. Wish there was a lighter one.
My Rainbow e series has a rocker switch. The double triangle position turns it on for normal use, the circle is "off," but there is a fan symbol that when pressed makes a feeble sound. What is this supposed to do? Thanks!
You can buy them on Craig’s list for a reasonable price. $350 and up. Ask for a demo. Buy a clean machine. Check bottom filter that you can find a picture of online. Any model Rainbow will work. They all clean thoroughly and humidity the air. The newer models have a smaller water tank so are easier to move around and dump. You need some serious muscle to dump the older model water tanks that hold a gallon of water. The good thing about Rainbows for some people is, it cleans embedded pet hair without getting caught in the rollers. Also sewing thread.
$2000 for an ugly plastic piece of rubbish, honestly can't believe people are taken in by the hype. This does nothing that a decent miele vacuum won't for 1/6th of the price or less. Plus this thing is bulky, noisy and dated looking.
Simply not true! This vacuum came out in 1998. I still use mine to this day! It’s one of the best investments I’ve made. I like a super clean home. If you don’t like it, why watch and comment? Simply a Karen, obviously!
2020 and ours still works in perfect condition! Worth it
Same here my granny just gave me hers

Awesome sweeper! Use one since 1986, have the newest version now! Love it!!!
The best cleaning system ever built. It will beat any other machine on the market. That's right even the 3600.00 paper weight Kirby
ah, the times when my uncles used to sell the rainbow e series models. I wasn’t born yet but they seem like good times.

I don't think Dyson can beat Rainbow. Not yet. Rainbow is still the best we have had ours 12 years now.

Love the 80s porn music in the background
Copyright 1998? Looks more like 1988!

Even thou this commercial was shot around the 80s or so people still think this vacuum cleaner is the best one out there
This is a 1980s Rainbow?
Where is your evidence, you peasant?!
