Welcome to the official TH-cam channel of Nikol Johnson!💄
My Channel empowers women to show up, be BOLD, FIERCE, and Unapologetic. I talk a lot about this in my book Beauty Reinvented, available through Amazon! It's not just about going gray young it's about a powerful movement for women breaking out and having NO BEAUTY RULES.
➡️ None of what I show on this channel is what “mainstream” TH-cam makeup tutorials will show you. Instead of telling you to put loads of makeup on (that makes you look like a different person), I want to show you how to “reveal” the beauty that you already have and teach you how to look GREAT- while still looking like YOURSELF.
As the years go by, many women feel that their beauty and radiance go by too. I don’t believe this. I believe you can stay beautiful, confident, and feel fabulous even if you’re past 40, 70, 80, or 100 years of age.
➡️ No matter your background or your age, my goal is to help you on your journey. Whether through make-up/skin-care tutorials, product reviews, or health/wellness advice. I want to empower (and teach) women to show up, be BOLD, FIERCE, and unapologetic.
Are you ready to embrace your authentic self- and start making YOUR OWN BEAUTY RULES? Subscribe to my channel NOW! 🔔

    Hello from Sweden 👋.
I "let myself go" around 40. Life threw me one too many challenges and I didn't prioritize myself. Now I'm 55, and it's starting to get fun again. I love my grays. And I love seeing my mom and my grandmothers features in my own face and body. Makes them feel closer.
    Have a beautiful summer, everyone.

Yes, Nikol, aging can be such a positive. Yet we gotta be WISE...pelvic floor issues can hit and hit hard so get this checked now by a good pelvic floor physical therapist! Get a baseline.. even in 40s or after having a child. Then...yep...bone health...so critical for us women. Weighted exercise, walking, yoga: it's all fairly non-negotiable! Seriously. Because the osteo meds...yikes...
There ARE more physical challenges as we hit 60s and 70s that maybe we don't anticipate at all.
      I will say...:))...Best sex ever...in my 60s. Yay:))
We gotta take care of ourselves...inside and out!! So critical.
Thank you for your inspiration, Nikol!

I look at men's fertility in their latter years as a constant reminder of how blessed we are to have men live! Live beyond thirty years. It hasn't been 200 years since the average life span for a male to be at the most forty years! Then there is the small inconvenience of men loosing their ability to maintain without a little pill. It greatly effects their self perception. Indeed, aging is a blessing. The changes we go thru, men and woman are just proof.
Tell me who tried to steal your company. I will kick them in the shin.
Thank you for making me smile today.

You either bow to mass consciousness or stand on your own. That’s true for everything. I decided when I was in high school I wanted to be the best “me” I could be. Mikhail Baryshnikov said, “I don’t try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to dance better than myself.” I pay no attention to studies, polls, etc. - they reflect mass consciousness… and I stand on my own.

I think the secret is not getting too caught up in society and what society expects of you.
I find that the older I get, the less I care about how I look (though I still try to look classy/put together), how successful I am, etc. I’m just trying to enjoy the simple things in life. All that matters to me anyway in the end is my relationship with Jesus, and that especially puts it all into perspective and takes away stress that would otherwise be there.
I also focus on loving others (rather than how I look, etc). ❤

I loved your approach to this. Instead of accepting that we are "unhappiest" at 47, that we should reframe it as our most "challenging" age. It is amazing how a small change in vocabulary can make a world of a difference on people's perception and outlook on things. I LOVE THIS! I will be turning 47 this year as well, and I would much rather look at this as my most challenging year instead of most unhappiest. I choose to be happy and will always choose that! Thanks Nikol!

I've missed watching your videos. Been on my own stressful road. You always make me happy. I love your spirit. By the way.....that "U" curve thing is ridiculous. Every day is a gift. Life is difficult at every age depending on our own experiences. I experienced my first deep grief this year at 68 losing my twin sister suddenly. I focus on starting my day with my coloring Bible I bought by you sharing yours. I exercise, work at my office, and pondering what I can do to love others, even those who aren't so lovable. I choose to honor others because that is love. Others may be hurting deeply, so we need to love no matter what. And good for you for fighting for your company. You are a beautiful inspiration to me. I found you during the 2020 COVID era. Congratulations on staying strong and forging through the traumatizing experiences. I want to be over 100 one day and be wearing your makeup!!!!

I loved this post. My life has been turbulent as my former husband was terribly violent and tried to murder me in 1992 when I was 40. I have had medical multiple issues, including two ischaemic strokes and breast cancer, but I consider myself lucky and happy. I am 71 years old and am flourishing. When an issue happens in my life, I view it as a bump in the road, and move on. I make myself look at the positive aspects and keep on soaring with the eagles. I remove all toxic people from my life. My family is warm and supportive and love me unconditionally. When I had my two strokes, I received care quickly, lost my ability to work as a FNP, but fortunately, regained my ability to speak and walk. I also still have my sense of humor and essence of myself and help and care for others. It is really your outlook in life, do you stress about the small stuff, or can you let it go? As a former ICU/PACU nurse, my mantra is, I don't see anyone arresting in front of me, so don't stress about it.
Aging has not bothered me, as I believe aging as a beautiful process and so many are denied old age. Mentally, I am much more serene, confident, and wiser, and yes, happier than I was in my twenties, thirties and early forties.
I love the revamped products I have received, and plan to order more.
I love all your messages of positivity and empowerment for women...

I was 47 when I had a hysterectomy. I never had to go through menopause. I was put on a hormone patch immediately. My mother, on the other hand, had a very difficult menopause and would not get help. We called it her “Mental-Pause Phase.” Get help if you are struggling! I am sure there are natural things that can help.

Honestly 47 was my worst year, or one of them. I was in an abusive marriage of 23 years, physically exhausted and sick. Mentally drained. Working 2 jobs, killing myself. Broken down confidence. However at 48, with the right support system I was out and away from that, living my best life now, at 53. Sure, still have my days but 47,was a wake up call I am thankful for that. Live your best life, take the second chance at any age. With age, is a knowledge, freedom and power you earn!

I'm very sorry to hear. That is truly sad. I am still wasting time of my life. But, it may be how I see it. I commented on how I was living at 47 until 57....It didn't seem to bother anyone, although I don't expect it to, or want it to. Made me realize though that it takes longer to get through when you drag yourself through it without any help. I never spoke about my worries until I commented...I went ahead and deleted. We all face bad times, my worse was in my 30's when my daughter died at 13. People see me as strong so don't come out with the calvery..hee hee. I kinda wish they would but, at some point we do come though the tunnel. I still have a bad marriage. I'm glad to hear to got away. Hope all is well.

Unhappiest age is 47? That is too funny to me. At age 47, my youngest son was graduating HS, my daughter was involved in a wonderful new relationship that would see her married and make me a 1st time grandmother at age 48 and my oldest fur baby was born when I was 47. Those were very happy times for me! Now I am 63 and battling stage iv lung cancer( not from smoking), but still happy and grateful every day! Every moment of a life should be celebrated!

I agree with you on the man versus women aging. I use to get so mad. My oldest daughter just turned 50 and is most unhappy with it all. Menopause has very unkind to her and she isn’t liking it at all. Now the whale thing, I really like this frame of reference. We can become leaders and mentors to younger ladies. Thank you for reminding us aging doesn’t mean we give up and die. Listen, having babies is wonderful but unlike some women, I never thought I was less than a woman because I no longer could give birth.

As a widow of 18 months, and aged 62, I found you on TH-cam a few months ago.
Talk about redefining myself. You have helped me
to pull the beauty of my husband’s love from deep within and help me to radiate it to the world.
I saw that beauty within you too. Mahalo from Hawai’i for helping women of all ages to feel confident within who we naturally are. To embrace the season of life we are particularly personally living in.
I feel every woman out there can radiate the beauty from within and utilize it to enhance our physical beauty.
When my sweetie passed, I really thought ot was all over for me. No one will look at me in that special way again. With your help and guidance and Heavenly Father’s assistance, that is not the case. Shockingly, I always feel men are curious and look at me wherever I go.
Your life’s work is a godsend. Much aloha to you from Hawaii.
Btw, your tutorial on mascara application is amazing! I didn’t know if anything was getting on my lashes! Ha! Now I can really feel the wand combing each lash and coating it. Amazing! ❤

You are glamorous and intelligent and very interesting, you’ve created a huge business that helps women!! That important!! I went through a surgical menopause at 39!! That was though but I fought through that too. Women are much, much stronger than could ever hope to be. We have to fight harder to be on top of my game because women get paid so much less than men. I started Menopause at 47, possibly perimenopause. Since I have a blood disorder called Thrombocytosis, idiopathic which means there is no reason. I wasn't able to have HRT because of it which meant that Menopause actually almost killed me. I cried a lot, had hot flashes constantly while trying to support my family. Not to mention the acceleration in aging. I still can't believe I lived through it. Believe me I am minimizing what I went through. I never hear anyone else describe their experience like I'm describing. I wouldn't wish it on an enemy.

Regarding age and ageism: my position was “eliminated” last November, blindsided me and i haven’t been able to land another position while literally applying almost daily via LinkedIn. I wa not and am not ready to retire and do feel that a woman my age is decidedly disadvantaged over a man my age. I’m 59 and have stopped dying my hair for the past 5 years, inspired by your look Nikol which is fabulous. So when people ask me why did I stop dying my hair I reply that dying my hair will not make me look younger, you cannot hide your age, I would just look false, trying too hard to look young but fighting a losing battle. Whereas now, the world sees me for what I am, not hiding behind a false image of youth. Men never hear that question and actually are quite proud of their silver foxy look. Why should n’t women show their lovely grey locks too, after all its what nature intended for us wise and wonderful older women. Don’t believe 47 is your unhappiest age your unhappiest age will be when you stop having zest for life, inspiration, dreams, hopes, plans. When you look around a see no true friends. When love has left you and you cannot offer your compassion to another. I think that would be my unhappiest age and it will never come, because I will never give up on life, love, laughter.

At 47, I failed the pencil test! I call it year of the sag. Everything , and my mood, began to sag! But things started getting so much better often that. Now at 70, I couldn’t be happier. Life is great!

This was a fantastic show. I am so glad menopause is over!! I feel so much better!! I am 55. I started menopause early in my early in my early 40’s.. I thought it would never end. But you feel like a new person when it’s over!!

Love how you bring forward these ridiculous articles and the inspirational ones such as the Whale story! I absolutely loved my forties! Then….menopause at 53/54 and it was good and bad. No more periods - yay! But hot flashes, weight gain, exhaustion, emotional imbalance just sucked! Added stress from a 41 year professional career that wasn’t fun anymore, especially during hot flashes lol. Fortunately had saved strategically and made a plan to retire at 60. And did! So liberating to shift my focus. Changed up my skin care, food choices, exercise and managed to keep my sense of humor. I laugh every day. Turning 65 soon and looking forward to it and every age after. What a privilege to be a role model of positive aging to my daughters.
