Dear Kay.. I am 83 and have feeling dejected due to back problems and living alone without family support, but after watching your video i feel inspired again.. thankyou xx
Dear Maureen…I have been feeling like this especially this winter. I gained 8 lbs and not sure why…I am 78 and soon to begin walking so I can lose 8 lbs. My summer wardrobe would definitely look better. Good luck to you! ❤
I love Kay’s philosophy - instead of trying to desperately hold on to one’s youth, accept that you will grow older and look older. Just look your best for whatever age you are. Kay has grace and poise and this accentuates her “total package” and helps her to look lovely and glowing. She has the right approach!
I used to work for a well known o gynecologist in Beverly Hills and I would often wonder how do these women keep their skin looking flawless? One day I got up the nerve to ask a patient whose skin was flawless I mean she barely had any wrinkles..and she was 80 years old. I thought for sure she can afford really expensive creams, dermatologist but what she said to me completely shocked me. Her secret nighttime routine was using VASELINE!!! 🙈 she would wear bold statement necklaces and would wear her clothes with so much confidence but her best assets was her sweet and humble heart. I totally agree with all your tips. My number one tip I will give you is to draw closer to God. The Joy of The Lord is our strength and that’s how I wake up every morning regardless how I wake up feeling I stay grateful every morning. Gratitude will outshine anything. Stay active even in the winter when we can’t go outside grab stretching bands or if you can afford a total gym machine do Pilates. When possible go for a walk or ride a bike..remember that when we have Jesus dwelling in our hearts we cannot fear the future ☺️❤️🙏
A Graceful women is a woman that takes time to prayer each day. God will give her a facelift! Their countenance is different. They have the peace and joy of the Lord!
Absolutely! “Life-long learning” for sure. I’m retired and am about 3/4 of the way to a second undergraduate degree in an area completely different than what my career was. The advantage is that I can take one or two courses at a time instead of a full academic load.
I can’t imagine that as an influencer, you are allowed to age gracefully! Some viewers can be so cruel in their comments! Another influencer I watch is a gorgeous 60 something and recently decided she was going to let her dyed hair grow out. Due to the mean comments she received, she changed her mind! We women need to be more understanding and respect other women’s’ choices whether it is plastic surgery or just allowing nature to take her course! Excellent topic Kay!
I agree. Sadly, though, it's hard to see this range of choices on social media or TH-cam. It doesn't reflect the real world in any way. I find, the less I view unrealistic examples of aging on the screen, the less the ideas and suggestions around that pop into my brain. When I'm lovin' on my family and friends, volunteering, whatever I'm doing, noone cares about my wrinkles & grey hair. People are invested in me for more than physical perfection. Kay's tips are health & happiness promoting, without being shallow.
Thanks for watching Amy. Honestly, I just don’t have the money, the time or the energy to do otherwise. It’s an uphill battle! And I’d much rather be relatable than some sort of out of touch ideal. Here’s to aging gracefully! 🥂
😖 Discovered that people, esp. women, have pretty strong ideas about hair color (& style) too. In fact, the ladies seem quick to discuss what doesn't work & why in great depth😭. Worse, we 🤜bash🤛 things that might not suit our personal standards of taste, but can still be considered attractive. 🤗Started going gray around the very front in a thin line of hair that framed my face @ 30. I have very fine hair, but I proudly called this layer my 🦁mane. Honestly, it's such that if I pulled my hair up w/a clip or headband, you would boldly see it. If I wore it down, only hints of it would 👀peek through. My 💗beloved mother had been extremely upset😱 about this shocking development. Mostly, bcos she said it "aged" her. Although she didn't object quite as much when my slightly older brother started on his own amazing color journey about that same time. 😉When I went to donate my hair to make wigs for ill kids, the clerk said they didn't accept dyed hair. Now, it was true that my dark brown hair had auburn highlights in it. She just didn't believe🤣 it was a naturally occurring phenomenon. 🤨In fact, she remained highly skeptical when I said it routinely gets bleached by the LA sun😎. Left my hair au naturale for the next decade, but eventually did dabble in some 🖌️non-permanent hair color. (My gray mane would turn reddish with dye around my face.) Seeing the gray gone pleased my 😘mom. 🤗When I decided to let my own hair go natural again, I took a lot of flack from the ladies😔. Rather startling how many strangers liked to share their totally unsolicited opinions on the subject too. The females were 💯% negative. Although some were far less harsh than others.😏Looking young is highly coveted here, so I didn't take it too personal. ✂️The girls & the gays wanted me to hack it off too. The heterosexual males were surprisingly positive about my multi-shaded brown hair (& longer length). 🥳The difference is that the disapproving men in this category never bothered to say it. 👏 Late 50s now, my "mane" has morphed into pure white. The majority remains varying shades of brown with a few threads of gray, but I still don't make any effort to hide it. 🤩Just remain thankful for every single strand! Since my mom passed in 2000, whenever a woman brought the subject up, I'd treat it as if she was sending nudges🙆♀️ from the beyond🌌. Whenever I get a compliment, esp. directed rather surprisingly from a younger man, I chalk it up to 🥰God simply wanting to bolster my spirits that day. 🏆Win-win! It's perfectly fine to color your hair or change it's structure (from straight to curly or vice versa). I fully understand why all the reasons ppl do these things, but I decided it's no longer right for me. In the end, I'd rather not be chastised for opting out. A part of me feels sad about ppl that chase extremes in cosmetic surgery, but I don't believe in shaming those who decide to get a nip or tuck here or there. To each their own. I admire ppl that put tremendous effort into their beauty routine in order to get influencer/model/celebrity quality hair, skin, face & physique. I just decided to scale down my own regimen. There came a point, I no longer wished to use excessive make-up, chemical treatments, or force my hair to do what it clearly wasn't meant to do on a daily basis. I don't hold myself in higher esteem for deciding to go a more minimal route, but neither do I wish to be disgraced for it. I believe there's room for all sorts of style & beauty in this world🌎. How boring it would be if we all looked the same! 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
What is a graceful woman? She’s you Kay! You are truly an inspiration to us women in our 50’s! I’m almost 55 an official senior citizen and people are shocked! I love it. Aging doesn’t mean you stop living! I’m a worker bee. I work 2 jobs and is very active in my church. I love these tips. You have such great things to say. Live a quality life and you will live a great life. And walk with Jesus Christ. The epitome of grace.
Thank you Kay, I needed to hear this today. I sometimes forget that we need to do something for ourselves everyday. I’m 72 years young, a widow and still finding my way... my late husband and I loved to travel and see the world after he retired. It was hard to take that first trip without him, but I did and grew stronger for it. Your tips today have been so spot on for me. Keep up the good work!
There are groups for women travelling. You can scope them out or get a travel buddy. Single supplements can be a pain, but if you have a roomie that you can travel with. You can do a shortie trip…weekend or something similar to see if you are compatible. I have longtime friend who lives in Ireland and I visit her and we do a girlie city break…London, Paris, Malaga etc. I also roomed with a guy I know well on a trip to Italy… no romantic stuff, just friends and we did fine both interested in history and art. I know that one is a toughie, but we got on great and there were no problems. Or if you have grown kids….I loved travelling with my mother. We had a lot of fun! Good luck. Things will be different without your husband but new adventures can be ahead. Take care.
Thank you for reminding me that I don’t need to give up as I get older. I’m approaching 70, recently retired, and single. I think we need to decide to age gracefully, and that’s what I choose. The past 2 years have been tough, first injuring my ankle, then quarantine. I was very active before the ankle injury and even after it healed, the quarantine set in, so I stopped being active and taking care of myself. Once ‘bad habits’ set in, they are hard to break, but today I will start working on ‘good habits’.
Kay, this was so timely. I've been feeling a little washed up at 60. I just told my daughter today that I don't feel interesting. I'm taking your advice to heart. Thank you 💖
I think Americans are particularly all about looking younger….anti aging….and being against older women in particular….about time we embrace and value aging women ….being allowed to age is a privilege
I so agree with what these ladies are saying...there is a very important reason for the younger generation to see the grace and wisdom of what the mature community can bring...I for one have become more secure and free to be who I am than at any other age of my life👍
Well there not geting eny, younger and no way,am i jeaulous off them, and thy will find out,the chang have all that, too go through and, let's see if thy like too be told too dress down,
My mother use to say "let go of the bad, keep the good." Now I realized she was on to som÷thing. She was also very funny, a great story teller-irish-and had a deep catholic faith. She received communion daily till almost 92 years old, and died in her sleep.
Oh Kay that was just beautiful, thank you. I'm a 58 soon to be 59 year old. I still work and love to keep myself youthful. I love your channel and I love our Lord.
I was fortunate that an older woman took an interest in my well being when I was in my most pivotal years. She validated me in so many ways, mostly subtle ways.
Thank you for this delightful channel. There is a sign in my bathroom that helps my day start well. “The prettiest thing you can wear is a smile!” I know you agree.☺️
Kay- I have watched your channel on and off but this episode really spoke to me. I have a 31 year old daughter who keeps me on my “style” toes and I am so grateful. I turn 65 next month and it is easy to slip into the doldrums. You are are doing a great job for your audience and for you. I like following someone who understands the obstacles of “aging gracefully “ and I appreciate you investing your time with us. Blessings to you and your family
I was weight lifting - not a lot and I developed a “frozen shoulder “ but once scanned it showed I had a small broken bone. I have osteopenia at 60 and didn’t know you must be careful what exercises you do or how much weight you lift.
Fabulous u-tube. I am 81. Started working with personal trainer March 2021 (bat wings are disappearing), went from SAD, American Standard Diet, to plant-based eating. Dropped my A1c from 6.3 to 5.5 and lost 13 lbs. I am a long time ballroom dancer and started taking lessons in Argentine tango to challenge my brain. U-tubes can guide one through many new ventures. Every day is a gift.....embrace it fully. Thanks to Kay for all the inspiration she gives us!
I love each and every point in this video! Social relationships for women as we age is so vital. I think it's important to have friends older and younger than you.
I just turned 50 this year. I think I am having a little issue with the gracefully part. My main issue is weight gain. I have a lot of stress in my life and you know that causes us to eat more as a coping mechanism. It's really tough. I am really enjoying your channel. Thank you.
This is such wisdom! In a world where there’s ever more focus on chasing youth, your message is very refreshing. Thank you Kay! As I always say, getting older beats the alternative!
I totally agree with you how important it is to be mobile is. Stretching is vital to my health, so is incidental exercise, gardening, taking the stairs and playing with the grandkids is how I try to get exercise without thinking about it. I really enjoy your channel Kay.
I recently discovered Dressed for My Day and can't thank you enough, Kay, for sharing your beauty and fashion tips, as well as your faith. You absolutely nailed it with your tips for aging gracefully, and throughout my journey, I've tried to abide by every one of them. As a retired teacher/high school administrator, I continue to substitute teach. During the pandemic, I covered a teacher's 5-month maternity leave and taught 6th graders every day in person. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career! Not only did I enjoy the students and the camaraderie of younger teachers, but I continued to learn new teaching techniques and technologies. Thanks for your encouragement!
Kay I love your message. I noticed how much I'd aged in the last few years and a lot of that was not taking care of myself. Hydrate. Walk. Be engaged in life. I'm lucky enough to have my mobility so that's not an issue.
Thankyou Kay, what brilliant advice, I am 60 years old, going through chemotherapy, but trying to make the effort every day to make the most of my appearance. Always wearing a smile!
I'm 70 just finished 8 weeks of radiation. It has aged me. My hair my nails my skin. I'm recovering I feel stronger everyday. My husband took me to Sedona for Christmas such a healing experience
I wish there was a LOVE button. Kay I am not surprised that both of your parents have aged gracefully and the apple has not fallen far from that tree! This was very encouraging. I am 66 and I needed this. hugs!
Good morning, Kay! Usually your awesome blog/video information is like beautiful home decor....it makes our "homes" attractive and inviting to others. (While always grounded with the BFMD pieces).... Then days like today, it's about the architecture. Structural info to give us firm foundational stones to build from. I am so grateful to be blessed by the work God does through you! I love pretty curtains, but the structure holding them needs to be strong and secure, or they just won't hang right. So glad you don't lose sight of balancing the frills with sound floor joists (ha!) Much love and prayers. You are a GIFT
I was so happy to find you on You Tube. I am a young 66, and I like dressing in feminine and classic clothes. I had been looking for someone that would show styles for my age group. So many of the gals on here are closer to my kid's ages! I agree that knowing the Lord makes all the difference in ageing gracefully.
Thank you Kay for inspiring me to step outside of my normal routines. I am 56 and needed to hear the keep learning segment of your presentation. I am a joyful, peaceful and content believer, follower and servant of Jesus. Sometimes too content. I enjoy cooking, gardening and shopping of course! Going to give knitting a whirl, and volunteering in a new area at church. Thank you Kay! You are the epitome of a truly graceful woman.
Thank you for focusing as much on the inner person as the outer. I've always said I'll never lie about my age, because that would be like saying that God made a mistake by giving me certain years, and I've learned from all of them - especially the hard ones!
Loved today’s video, Kay! My health has hit a new bump and it’s a challenge to be less self-absorbed. I have started taking notes (to help memory) about a friend I plan to reach out to and begin our conversation focused on them…. It’s so easy to begin with our own issues which can snowball. Not kind, graceful, or even polite
Great video! I'm 54. I hadn't gone into menopause yet, however after being diagnosed with Leukemia the chemo kicked me into menopause. That weight gain made me realize I needed to rethink things. This was very helpful.
This is such good advice and what so many women of our age need to hear. I am the same age as you. Two of my friends say that when you are over 50 you become invisible and they truly believe it and act accordingly. I don’t accept that and spend my life providing them wrong.
I learned a long time ago to make the best of what God gave me. Especially in fashion and appearance I highlight the best. Very few of us have a figure that looks good in everything so focus on your strengths.
Good morning Kay! Thank you for this beautiful video reminding women that we still matter as we get older and to remember to consider ourselves to be relevant in our day to day lives. Aging gracefully can be achieved through the grace of God! 💕🙏🏻
I have been watching your videos for some time now, but this video was the best! Thank you for talking about grace, forgiveness and humility. It truly is what makes a woman beautiful. My motto is, “ I am a woman of faith on a joyful journey!” Blessings to you Kay ❤
Thanks for the life lessons. You are absolutely right about the steps to staying as youthful as you can. I let my body slip and it’s a hard road back but worth it. Keep moving!
I needed this so very much. I just turned 56 and I say I don't want to look 25 or even 30, that I just want to look good at whatever age I am, but keeping that mindset is hard, especially in a "youth obsessed" world. The one thing I try to do each day, however, is spread joy to at least one person a day. It's amazing the "youthful" feeling you get from doing good. Thank you for your videos. I can't wait each week for a new one to come out.
Thank you! I might be your first man to benefit from this wonderful video. Almost all of the tips apply to men, too. I will be looking for younger mentors interested in leadership. God bless you and your works!
Kay, this is --- I think--- the best video you have ever produced. I really needed to hear it today as I have recently retired and am struggling with my path. There have been a few too many "graceless" days I'm afraid! Today I am committing to go to the gym and talk to the staff about weight lifting! Thank you so much. (Saving this one to watch again!)
Thank you Kay, so enlightening-- I was offered the chance through my church to join the " new music group" I am so pleased that I can share grace this way. Wonderful video , so good to hear your thoughts.
Thank you so much for your channel and for presenting a healthy pov on aging. I stopped dyeing my hair years ago and I updated my wardrobe, eliminated some stuff I no longer wear. I also excercise regularly and increase my water intake. There are physical changes, especially with energy. For me I prefer to keep it natural but I think everyone should do whatever they are inspired to do that makes them feel happy.
I am so excited to find your site !! I thought you were a Christian and l was right. You are a voice in the wilderness in this youth obsessed culture. Thankyou for being a graceful well balanced woman ❤ You are showing me a Godly way forward 😊
Hello Kay, I just recently found your videos on You tube and while I was looking for a “style” blog, I love yours for more than that, your lifting and encouraging advice is so very welcomed and appreciated. I was falling into the “disappearing” mode that so many of us women fall into after turning 50. I love your style and attitude! Thank you and God bless.
Such a lot of good advice. This is the first time I’ve heard anyone say you should keep your nails all the same length, but it is important. First thing I do when I break a nail is to cut the others short as well.
I just want to say you look lovely! You are so right about having less but more quality pieces. I always feel something has to be on sale and at a good price but buying a few outstanding pieces in a great color will make us look and feel great. You can really see how quality pieces look great but also stand up over time. Maybe you can do a video on some great quality pieces. Your channel is so helpful Kay!
I loved this topic so much! Lots of food for thought for me, especially about giving grace and "putting feet" to those good intentions. I have felt a bit convicted to volunteer in a local senior center, but I have been telling God "but I'm not great with older folks." I am a nurse, a pediatric nurse by choice for all of my nursing career because I love kids and I know God led me there. However, God is telling me that I need to share my love of card making with the folks at my senior center. He has already put this on my heart and hearing you say it is the push I needed. It's officially going on my short "to do" list to meet with the activity director and find out if there is a place for me to get busy and share my crafty hobby and engage with my older boomer generation. God Bless you Kay, thanks for sharing what was on your heart!
Consider teaching card-making at a community center or a church group or local library also. I’m in my 70’s and I would love to attend such a class. 💜💜💜
@@marilynpeppers1356 Thanks for the encouragement. That's exactly what I want to do! Hopefully there will be someone at our local senior center that will be interested in making cards.
A pleasant side step from the more 'sponsored/influencer/commercial/marketing' videos which have their value, but can often present without balance, grace, support, consideration and care. Thank you Kay. x
True beauty comes from the heart. Great tips on giving grace and serving. I have learned to thank God for my aging, giving me all these years. God bless all you ladies out there and please embrace your years and enjoy them 😊
Thank you! You appear so open, warm and genuine. I am the same age as you and your words made realize my thoughts are not joyful and a simple shift in awareness can begin to make me feel I have a lot still to offer to the world!
EXCELLENT video this week, Kay! Thank you so much for focusing on aging gracefully. I think it is so important to embrace the age we are (I am also 57) and enjoy the stage of life we are experiencing.
This video is great. I’m 64 years old and I go to weightlifting classes religiously! 3 to 4 times a week. I lift 25 pounds on the barbells and 10 pounds each on the dumbbells for the arms. I push myself and challenge myself at every workout and I love it. I’m maintaining my goal weight with weight watchers. I’m also battling a serious cancer, but I don’t talk about it and I’m staying strong and positive. I love wearing nice, but stylish clothes. Having a great group of very active and supportive friends is also one of the best things in life , especially for people in our age group. We do a lot of traveling.
So ended this video Kay. I do aim to be graceful, thoughtful and kind daily. I do Thank God that I have a wonderful family and am able to en- Joy family news and events. I do always try to give grace as well. Thank you for these kind and thoughtful reminders. You are the epitome of Grace. I will keep and re- Read this as a reminder. Thank you
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this video! Such great advice and tips. I think sometimes that people have forgotten to give grace and kindness in our day-to-day lives. Thank you so much for these great reminders.
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a year ago and and now require a wheelchair. I am glad I had a daily 2+ mile a day walk regimen and worked outdoors with children while I could
My mother embodied grace and life engagement to the fullest. She taught me so much. Thank you for this video and the reminder that life is all about living your best life in the present. Melissa 🌼
Those are great tips, Kay. I struggle to change my make up routine. I want to simplify it, make it more neutral. So I keep trying new palettes. It is a work in progress. I agree with the learning thing, I took crochet and knitting classes a few years ago, it was a lot of fun to learn something new. I am 67 years old,and yesterday, I took a boxing class, which was way different than anything I have ever done. A lot of hitting the bag and the instructors padded gloves. So weird to hit something when all our lives we are told to keep your hands to yourself. I also like the grace idea, being patient with everyone, slow drivers, elderly people at the cash register in front of you, etc. Just be nice to people is good advice. I talk to a women in my Step class and found out her cat passed away on Sunday, I bought her a Sympathy card and will give it to her tomorrow in class, I know what it feels like to have to make that judgement call to put your beloved pet down. Also, I would love to make friends with younger people, I just don't know where to find them, people seem to be staying close to home during Covid. We use to have more young women in the gym to talk to, but possibly they are staying home with their children these days. I like the age I live in, it is very interesting to be alive now, but so many of my friends (on FB, especially) who are my age are living in the past, so often they remember how great it was, but it wasn't that great for many people, it was just nice to be young and carefree. I do agree with the weight baring exercises, so important for our bone health. Thank you, Kay. I wish I really knew you as a neighbor, come to Massachusetts some day. :-)
Hi I just found you and I’m only 40 but the changes hitting me are INTENSE!!! and I can’t really find many people without injections or fillers promoting aging gracefully. I’m grateful and you look so great!!! I accidentally started aggressively and obsessively derma rolling my face and it caused premature sagging before I realized what it was. My face is unrecognizable from even a few weeks! So I’m just trying to embrace my body changes. Thanks I have all these wrinkles already so you’re lucky!
So gracefully said! Your wisdom and graceful attitude are so inspiring. I feel motivated to take better care of myself inside and out, and be more open to social interaction. My first time watching your video. I'm grateful and I subscribed for more. Thank you for sharing and blessings!
I'm glad you do these videos! This is the second one and it's very important to put across! Ssoooo much info packed into it! I need a little overhaul as I'm 67. Thanks!
This is a wonderful video! So meaningful, helpful and filled with hope for those who fear aging so much. My parents and grandparents aged very gracefully, we are French and in our country it is part of our culture in some way. It is important to learn to love and respect ourselves, and that allows us to want to be who we are no matter our age. All it takes is look and feel our best in a natural, comfortable and beautiful way, be kind and graceful, cultivate our positive mindset, interests in life and continue to care about others. Our health is vital too so we need to take care of ourselves the best we can. Thank you for your great message! )
Dear Kay.. I am 83 and have feeling dejected due to back problems and living alone without family support, but after watching your video i feel inspired again.. thankyou xx
Bless you Maureen. You have a purpose and you are needed. Press on and live beautifully! 🥰
Dear Maureen…I have been feeling like this especially this winter. I gained 8 lbs and not sure why…I am 78 and soon to begin walking so I can lose 8 lbs. My summer wardrobe would definitely look better. Good luck to you! ❤
You are a brave woman, well done, we all need to think like this.
I love Kay’s philosophy - instead of trying to desperately hold on to one’s youth, accept that you will grow older and look older. Just look your best for whatever age you are. Kay has grace and poise and this accentuates her “total package” and helps her to look lovely and glowing. She has the right approach!

Being the LORD’s light as He has appointed us to be. Having the joy of Jesus!😍

"Graceful women are joyful women." So true, Kay!!
Yep yep yep
A Graceful women is a woman that takes time to prayer each day. God will give her a facelift! Their countenance is different. They have the peace and joy of the Lord!
Aging is a gift not everyone gets to do it. Embrace the journey with love and joy!
Love this 💕

This was one of the best messages I've heard in a long time! I am 56 and in college, working on a degree! Never too old to learn!!
Wow, you go girl!
Perseverance does work! I went back to college in my 40’s then got a Masters as Nurse Practitioner & finished year I turned 55. You can do it!!!
Congrats on pursuing your education. Way to be inspiration to all younger women that ambition and dreams are lifelong!!
You go! I was 50, paid it all myself and worked fulltime. No one can ever take your education from you! You go sister!
Absolutely! “Life-long learning” for sure. I’m retired and am about 3/4 of the way to a second undergraduate degree in an area completely different than what my career was. The advantage is that I can take one or two courses at a time instead of a full academic load.

Thanks for watching Amy. Honestly, I just don’t have the money, the time or the energy to do otherwise. It’s an uphill battle! And I’d much rather be relatable than some sort of out of touch ideal. Here’s to aging gracefully! 🥂
Consider the source: these folks clearly have no class and no manners. Ignore them.
That is so sad about that woman...ugh! People can be so mean.
😖 Discovered that people, esp. women, have pretty strong ideas about hair color (& style) too. In fact, the ladies seem quick to discuss what doesn't work & why in great depth😭. Worse, we

Late 50s now, my "mane" has morphed into pure white.

Oh, that is so kind of you to say, Cindee. Thank you. You ladies are a blessing and inspiration to me, too.
I agree 💯%!
I am praying for your heart, Sister.
@@kathyfagala6933 Thank you...
Barbara B, Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers and wisdom. You're So Beautiful with your witness and personal sharing.God Bless you!🙏💝😇
Yes indeed graceful women are joyful women.
Take care.
Thankfulness also helps the aging mindset. Growing older is a true gift that not everyone receives. ♥️
Love that!
Definitely True
Thankfulness and an "Attitude Of Gratitude ",about living life;even with issues related to health and aging process.❤🙏💖
Aging can be so difficult and hard to go through.Jesus ,Help us.🙏
Thank you for reminding me that I don’t need to give up as I get older.
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?
Kay, this was so timely. I've been feeling a little washed up at 60. I just told my daughter today that I don't feel interesting. I'm taking your advice to heart. Thank you 💖
Oh you have so much to offer. Stay with it! You are a treasure. 🥰
I think Americans are particularly all about looking younger….anti aging….and being against older women in particular….about time we embrace and value aging women ….being allowed to age is a privilege
I agree. Why does everything have to be about looking younger? Why can't it just be about trying to look as good as we can for our age?
Good on them why should age grasefully i dont, think so,old has u feel,
I so agree with what these ladies are saying...there is a very important reason for the younger generation to see the grace and wisdom of what the mature community can bring...I for one have become more secure and free to be who I am than at any other age of my life👍
Well there not geting eny, younger and no way,am i jeaulous off them, and thy will find out,the chang have all that, too go through and, let's see if thy like too be told too dress down,
Exactly. If you don't want to grow old you have to die young.
My mother use to say "let go of the bad, keep the good." Now I realized she was on to som÷thing. She was also very funny, a great story teller-irish-and had a deep catholic faith. She received communion daily till almost 92 years old, and died in her sleep.
Ah, your mom was undoubtedly a blessing to you. Thanks for sharing.
That is so beautiful.
I felt a deep appreciation of love shared in you story Cassie... thank you for sharing 💕
Just beautiful Cassie. That deep abiding faith is such the key. ✝️🙏
I agree with your mom. She’s a wise woman and blessed. To live 92 years and die in your sleep is a blessing.
Oh Kay that was just beautiful, thank you. I'm a 58 soon to be 59 year old. I still work and love to keep myself youthful. I love your channel and I love our Lord.
Wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m glad you enjoyed it. 💕
I was fortunate that an older woman took an interest in my well being when I was in my most pivotal years.
She validated me in so many ways, mostly subtle ways.
Ahh, that is such a blessing. 💕
Thank you for this delightful channel. There is a sign in my bathroom that helps my day start well. “The prettiest thing you can wear is a smile!” I know you agree.☺️
Always wanted a smile, but my teeth...

I love each and every point in this video! Social relationships for women as we age is so vital. I think it's important to have friends older and younger than you.
Well said definitely agree
Sure, that's right.
I just turned 50 this year. I think I am having a little issue with the gracefully part. My main issue is weight gain. I have a lot of stress in my life and you know that causes us to eat more as a coping mechanism. It's really tough. I am really enjoying your channel. Thank you.
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?
You are a breath of fresh air !!!!! I totally agree with everything you said.
Thanks so much for watching, Linda. 🥰
This is such wisdom! In a world where there’s ever more focus on chasing youth, your message is very refreshing. Thank you Kay! As I always say, getting older beats the alternative!
Absolutely! Thanks for sharing Marta. 🥰
Weight lifting rules. Don’t worry that it isn’t “lady like”. I feel stronger, more balanced, more confident. Great advice all around. Thanks Kay!

I totally agree with you how important it is to be mobile is. Stretching is vital to my health, so is incidental exercise, gardening, taking the stairs and playing with the grandkids is how I try to get exercise without thinking about it. I really enjoy your channel Kay.
Wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing.
Wonderful! I love that. 💕
Kay I love your message. I noticed how much I'd aged in the last few years and a lot of that was not taking care of myself. Hydrate. Walk. Be engaged in life. I'm lucky enough to have my mobility so that's not an issue.
Yes, just staying engaged is so important. And some days that’s just hard. Thanks so much for sharing and watching Alex. 🥰
Weight training has been my fountain of youth. Thanks for pointing that out to your viewers.
Thankyou Kay, what brilliant advice, I am 60 years old, going through chemotherapy, but trying to make the effort every day to make the most of my appearance. Always wearing a smile!
Bless you. Thanks so much for watching. Praying for a full recovery and healing. 💕
I am 66 and I needed this. hugs!
Hello how're you doing hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic ?
Good morning, Kay! Usually your awesome blog/video information is like beautiful home decor....it makes our "homes" attractive and inviting to others. (While always grounded with the BFMD pieces).... Then days like today, it's about the architecture. Structural info to give us firm foundational stones to build from. I am so grateful to be blessed by the work God does through you! I love pretty curtains, but the structure holding them needs to be strong and secure, or they just won't hang right. So glad you don't lose sight of balancing the frills with sound floor joists (ha!) Much love and prayers. You are a GIFT
Ahh, those are beautiful thoughts. Thanks so much for sharing. And for watching! You ladies are a blessing to me, too.
Oooohhhh Nice… never to old to try something different
Thank you for focusing as much on the inner person as the outer. I've always said I'll never lie about my age, because that would be like saying that God made a mistake by giving me certain years, and I've learned from all of them - especially the hard ones!
Absolutely! 🥰
Loved this video. It's uplifting, inspiring, down to earth, truthful....and I'm thankful for you, Kay.
Thanks so much Beth. That’s very encouraging. 💕
So true soo true wish you all the best
Very wise advice. Thanks for being real, Kay!
Great video! I'm 54. I hadn't gone into menopause yet, however after being diagnosed with Leukemia the chemo kicked me into menopause. That weight gain made me realize I needed to rethink things. This was very helpful.
Bless you. 💕
Thank you for being so honest and accepting of aging.
Thank you Kay! You are an inspiration! Have a blessed day!
Ahh, that's so kind. Thanks for watching, Pam.
This is such good advice and what so many women of our age need to hear. I am the same age as you. Two of my friends say that when you are over 50 you become invisible and they truly believe it and act accordingly. I don’t accept that and spend my life providing them wrong.
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?
This is my favorite of your videos so far! You are full of beauty, kindness, and grace.
Aging is a privilege and a blessing.
I learned a long time ago to make the best of what God gave me. Especially in fashion and appearance I highlight the best. Very few of us have a figure that looks good in everything so focus on your strengths.
You always come across as kind and caring. Your smile is beautiful and is a big part of aging gracefully- being happy with who you are.
Thank you Mary. That is very kind. 💕
Good morning Kay! Thank you for this beautiful video reminding women that we still matter as we get older and to remember to consider ourselves to be relevant in our day to day lives. Aging gracefully can be achieved through the grace of God! 💕🙏🏻
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?
I have been watching your videos for some time now, but this video was the best! Thank you for talking about grace, forgiveness and humility. It truly is what makes a woman beautiful. My motto is, “ I am a woman of faith on a joyful journey!” Blessings to you Kay ❤
Hello👋 pretty lady 🌹,How are you and the weather condition like today?
Really great set of tips. I love that you added grace and service at the end.
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?
I’m new to you feed. And I’m awe of your heart. You are so sincere and genuine. I really like you. Thank you for sharing your heart and God.
Thanks for the life lessons. You are absolutely right about the steps to staying as youthful as you can. I let my body slip and it’s a hard road back but worth it. Keep moving!
I am 65 and I believe that kindness makes you look younger, it makes you beautiful. Kay you are beautiful inside and out.
Thank you so much Karen. You are kind, too. 🥰
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?

Hello how're you doing hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic ?
Wonderfully presented. Very valuable points & you smile very gracefully.
Thanks so much for watching. 💕
Thank you Kay, so enlightening-- I was offered the chance through my church to join the " new music group" I am so pleased that I can share grace this way. Wonderful video , so good to hear your thoughts.
Wonderful! Enjoy! 🙌🏻
Ooohhhh very niceee
Thank you so much for your channel and for presenting a healthy pov on aging. I stopped dyeing my hair years ago and I updated my wardrobe, eliminated some stuff I no longer wear. I also excercise regularly and increase my water intake. There are physical changes, especially with energy. For me I prefer to keep it natural but I think everyone should do whatever they are inspired to do that makes them feel happy.
What a wonderful video! Thank you! I’m 72 and trying to age gracefully…..so am writing down all your tips!
You are so graceful! Thanks for sharing what you have learned!
I am so excited to find your site !!

You are a voice in the wilderness in this youth obsessed culture. Thankyou for being a graceful well balanced woman ❤
You are showing me a Godly way forward 😊
I believe in what your saying. It is about looking your best at your age. I want to aging gracefully.
Thank you Kay! Great reminders and tips! Especially finding joy through serving others.
Hello Kay,
I just recently found your videos on You tube and while I was looking for a “style” blog, I love yours for more than that, your lifting and encouraging advice is so very welcomed and appreciated. I was falling into the “disappearing” mode that so many of us women fall into after turning 50. I love your style and attitude! Thank you and God bless.
Thank you Elizabeth. I’m so glad you like the channel. 😊
Such a lot of good advice. This is the first time I’ve heard anyone say you should keep your nails all the same length, but it is important. First thing I do when I break a nail is to cut the others short as well.
Chipped nails are like dead flowers in a vase!
Collagen has improved my nails and hands at 80, to look 40.
Wow! I’d been taking some that didn’t seem to help. But I’ve ordered a new one that should arrive any day now. I look forward to trying it. 😊
Dr Axe Multi Collagen protein. The key is the 5x of collagen in it. I took it for my hair , now it has made my nails, joints, skin, digestion well.
@@lanoraheiset8704 I have been medical grade liquid collagen and it has done wonders for me ❤️
I just want to say you look lovely!
Thanks so much for the feedback, Linda. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. 🥰
@@kelleyfreeman401 …Best wishes. God is already got it set up somewhere. You just have to go where He sends. 💜
A pleasant side step from the more 'sponsored/influencer/commercial/marketing' videos which have their value, but can often present without balance, grace, support, consideration and care. Thank you Kay. x

Thanks Kay. Great video and tips. Your message is as beautiful as you are. Give some Grace each day is a keeper!

Thank you for your great message! )
