What do you recommend for crepey skin on the forearms?
every night i use Dr Karan exfoliant ( so gentle but effective), then Caudalie Beauty Elixir ( thanks for getting me hooked) before I go to bed trentoin (spelling? Vit A) I use 0.25 ( super mild) and Johnson's Baby Facial Cream ( hard to find, made for France).
in am use one of my mild cleansers with Caudalie beauty elixir then Vitamin c, wait to fry them sunscreen.

Hi when I have a red spot on my skin I put tooth paste on it at night and in the morning it is gone .
What do you do on the days that you do not use Tertion a?
Why are you putting the serum after the cream. I was instructed lightest to thickest order of application. My skin likes layers not thick creams I use a night moisturizer then a quality oil as my occlusive to hold everything in.- rotate between Olea and Elemis right now.

I’m 61 and hate to admit that I’ve never been great about taking care of my face. Having kids, working, outside gardening and a beach goer for 40 years (often without sunscreen) have ALL taken a toll on my face, (very dry and wrinkled around the mouth). SO thankful to find wonderful makeup instructions and hydrating products for mature skin!! THANK YOU Nikol!!! Skincare is so important and I should have listened to my mom :-)
When we practice self-care, particularly at the end of a long day, it shows. It's therapeutic from the inside out and is my favorite time of day.

Neutrogena Body Oil as recommended by Dr Dray is also great for dissolving makeup as the first part of your double cleanse.
I’ve been using tretinoin for six months now and I’m at a point where I don’t feel like I need to do Botox anymore. In my 60s and my skin looks great 👍

@@jws0303 yep 👍 I was getting Botox every six months for two years. Then when June came around and it was time to set another appointment I felt like I didn’t need it.
I've been using 0.05% Retin A for more than 35 year's now, I'll be 60 in December and look at least 10 year's younger. I religiously use a 50 sunscreen every single day, without fail, since I was 24 year's old and it's paid off.
I'm going to try the snail serum a try!!

Have been using retin-A for nearly 20 years but can be drying. After I put it on, I immediately put on a layer of Nivea from the blue tub (not using it as a dupe of LaMer though) Perfect amount of moisture for me.

Thanks for sharing. You can moisturize first, wait 20 minutes or so and then use Tretinoin to cut the irritation. Best wishes.
Hi Nikol! Love your channel. I am 57, and discovering true skin care for the first time. And, as much as I love make up, I have no idea how to use it. Thankfully, I am learning and enjoying the process with you. I do, however, have a question. It is one I have been struggling with my whole life. I have thin lips…very thin lips. As I get older, they are, of course, shrinking. My question is about color on thin lips. I feel like I need to wear clear gloss or a soft pink so that my “lack of lips” isn’t so obvious. But then I miss out on dramatic red lips and other classic or even trendy lip

Egyptian Magic Cream is wonderful. In addition to facial use, I apply it under body cream for extra hydration. Great for elbows and knees!
I love the snail mucin it made a difference right away. I gave it to my husband he put it on the space and the next day he looked a hundred percent better. No dry patches. Now we both use it everyday

I’ve been using Tretenoin and Cosrx Snail Mucin for years and my skin is in fabulous shape…..I just turned 59 and I get compliments on my skin ALL the time! It really is that good. I also double cleanse every night. And mornings are cleanse, vitamin C, moisturizer and sunscreen😎

I have tried Egyptian Magic and it breaks areas of my face out, I recently started using a product by REN which reduces redness at night and I love it, never break out anymore. It feels like the Egyptian Magic. I love the Elemis products and I also use Tretinoin, my skin has never been better., will try out the snail balm too, I used to use one which was a prescription but it was very expensive. Thanks so much for all your help. I am a nurse Practitioner in southern California and in a partnership with a Dermatologist, I do all the laser work, which has also helped my skin enormously.

Please explain "textured - oil glands." My smooth skin developed bumps at the start of my eyebrow overnight. My derm told me not to worry, and said that they were "oil glands." Personally, I did not accept that answer because it didn't make sense. Tretinoin: My skin is sensitive, and overall good texture. Last October, my derm prescribed Tretinoin for a few milia on my face. I started on Tretinoin .025%. A few months later - .05%. June, 2023 - .1%. It is curious that the milia did not clear up, and my skin texture is worse. This is the first time I've heard Egyptian Magic mentioned. Costco sold it for years, but I never bothered to buy it. This video was helpful.

I've used ponds moisture cream with the blue lid for 40 years under my makeup and at night doesn't bother your eyes and it doesn't clog your pores. I'm 65 with very few wrinkles and get compliments on my skin. Please try it under your makeup and let us know how you like it. It will save you a lot of money too. Helps your foundation go on very smoothly. You'll love it!
My grandmother used Ponds, and her skin was beautiful. At age 84, there were hardly any wrinkles. I must get some Ponds. I use Consult Beaute as my cleansing and moisturizing regimen, and I like it more than any other product, but I am open to trying new products.
Thanks for posting! I just use cold cream, and it takes everything off effortlessly without drying. I'm 56 and get compliments on my skin all the time saying I have skin of a 30 year old. 😊 I've used the egyptian cream yet it's the same as using Nivea in the dark blue jar for me in the winter. Nikol -- I have been using the Elemis for awhile and have loved it but I recently started using the snail mucin and I can’t believe how much better my skin looks …more hydrated and how my age spots are better !!! My skin looks so much better … I also added the frownies which I tried before but apparently I wasn’t using it well !! They are amazing as well !

It’s important to go to your dermatologist or plastic surgeon to purchase and make sure it is right for your skin goals and skin type/lifestyle.

Got a facial and massage in a cruise a few weeks ago. All the products used were Elemis. Im currently using their products and I’m already seeing a huge difference by the way I’m 59.

Totally love your channel but thought you might want to know about some trouble I had with ELEMIS. I inadvertently ordered 2 100g jars instead of one. I caught it immediately and sent an email (It was nighttime so I couldn't reach anyone). The email response I got back was impersonal and said "We are unable to amend orders once they have been placed" Nowhere on your site does it mention this policy. I believe this is unacceptable. This is an expensive product and; it's not a way you should be treating your customers.. I was attempting to make myself feel better after a year of cancer treatments but Elemis has made me want to throw in the towel.

I'm 61 and have been using the same .05 trentinon since I was 50 and swear by it! However, my dermatologist told me never to put it on straight out of the tube to my face that I needed to take a pea size and mix it in with my moisturizer before applying. I've never had the peeling and the redness, so I'm wondering if the way you apply it without mixing it in with your moisturizer, does it give you that flaky peeling look after applying?
I wish you would do my face.. I'm now 45 and my skin took a big hit.. becoming a driver and working. I have lost my ability to do my makeup 💄 untop of turning into a mature woman 👠👠.. but I bet my face could snap back at this point.. it would be a great before and after project for you..

Wait. I thought we needed to avoid moisture for a while before/ after tretinoin? Any derm I've been to emphasized waiting 10 minutes after cleansing to apply and then half an hour after application, before adding other products, to maximize efficacy and absorption? Is this not true?

I’ve been using silicone wrinkle patches from Amazon…. Love❤have to be careful what I put on my face… because now at 61 have hormonal menopausal acne🤦♀️I didn’t have acne as a teenager… now my skin is very sensitive… breaks out easily. Never thought I’d be worrying about pimples at my age 😂

I am 51 and I have melasma all over my face which becomes more intense during summer time. I live in Greece where the sun shines most of the time so I use sun portection 12 months a year but still ... :( Do you have any advice for that or recommendation for specialised products?

Did you test each item on its own first to see the results before using all together?
At night, I use Tretinoin, a Korean Urea product, hyaluronic acid that Dermotologist recommended, and a moisturizer. I got the gel eye pads of Frownies from Amazon as it was same price and Prime is free shipping. I have no peeling or irritation. One of the day products I use is a 10% AHA that may be removing any flakiness from the Tretinoin.
Is there a vegan version of snail mucin? I just feel so "ick" about it!
