- Alfaworkshop can turn my Alfa Romeo 4C into a 450BHP Monster!! Find out how in this video! If you have an alfa romeo 4c then alfaworks is the place to come. Firstly they know the alfa romeo 4c inside out and have worked on so many over the years. They are currently developing their own car which will soon be offered to customers which will bore out the 1.75 engine and make it run a 2.0 with a twinscroll turbo!
this is something that will be pretty amazing and i am sure you will agree. 450bhp in an alfa romeo 4c will be insane!!
my main reason for coming to Alfaworkshop was to get my car serviced. i also show you the contact points on how to jack up the car correctly!
Make sure to check out Alfa workshop!

*Hope you enjoyed the video guys! Help me get to 30k subs! We are nearly there!*
Stef, what are the owners coating or painting their engine covers with?
Sweet vids! Im 6'4 and in love with this car. Do you think i can fit in this sexy car
And then help me get 1k. I’m almost there too
Nice One mate If U Can Find An ALFA Romeo HYPERCAR I'd B Gr8... Good Show Cumpa🇮🇹 👌
Alfa just makes such beautiful and captivating cars. Absolutely love my 4C Launch
I always use these guys to service my 4C, as not only do they do a better job than a main dealer but they've saved me a lot of money in comparison to the main dealer too!
I saw one recently crusing past, for the very first time. Amazed how good the car sounded. Pretty good for a 4 pot.
"450hp will be ridiculous"
"We hope so!"
😂😂🤣🤣
Haha yep! They are awesome! :)
I knew it. There’s so much more power under the hood of that 4C . It’s easily 7 min Nurernburgring car with the proper set up.
"easily" hahahaha Lotus Exige V6 did 7:53 with a lot more downforce, a close weight and 350hp. 7 minuts did a 488 Pista, so dont be silly.
7 mins might be pushing it, but it will definitely be rocket though,
Power to weight ratio will be ridiculously high with 450bhp.
What the actual fuck is Nurernburgring???
@@llavero5 Stock ALFA Giulia Quadrifoglio with automatic trans. did it in 3 min 28 sec. recently beating its own record previously set with a manual trans. A stock 4C did it in 8 min. 4 seconds. Modded 4C are running that are a LOT faster than the stock one.
@@RobertKarlBerta Giulia Quadrifoglio dont have automatic, probably is a dual clutch gearbox.
3' 28"? you mean 7' 28"? its was a video game lol: th-cam.com/video/22svzP5hv-8/w-d-xo.html
Of course modded 4C is faster than stock, like all modded cars, and? go down from 8 minuts to 7 is extremely difficult.
Power to weight ratio has no sense when you need to fight vs aero drag, weight cant do nothing.
What is the max speed can reach a car with 1 hp and 1 kg weight? (impressive ratio 1:1) maybe 30 mph?.
Caterham R500 with 450kg and 233hp did 7:55 and power to weight ratio is even better than a 4C with 450hp.
Well, the caterhams are a disaster in aero drag, plus "low" power make them slow in high speed straight line.
Maybe a 4C 450hp modded too with massive downforce can reach 7:15
Exige 430 Cup, 430hp, close weight and more downforce than the 4C is a perfect reference reference.
But you can see here a GT3 RS with worse hp/eight ratio is a lot faster (3 and 4 seconds) in this tracks: fastestlaps.com/comparisons/ujp2hz7f56ol
So in a track 6-7 times longer like Nurburgring would be around 20-25 seconds slower, like i said 7':15" - 7':20"
You've been using my Giulia Quad as a backdrop there Stef. Glad I washed it now before it went in for its service!
Haha awesome dude! Stunning car :) it looked stunning!!
Jamie Porter's Alfaworkshop used to do all the servicing and modification on my 147 GTA. They always looked after me and the car really well, Ben's a top lad and leant me his own car once when they were out of courtesy cars. Highly recommend.
They are awesome there I agree
What has to be done to the DCT to handle that power? I thought the DCT was the limiting factor on these cars?
Awesome content mate! Beautiful Black 4C! Enjoy your new Mods! 👍
All of those Alfa's OMG. Thanks for the video!
Alfa 4c is Art Alfa is the car.
Lancia is the mather of the Italians meccanics
It's a little bit like heaven in that garage 😅
Great workshop!
I travelled all the way from South London to get my belts done as they were recommended by most on my Alfa forum and they were way cheaper too.
Alllllll the way from South London?!?! Wow!
Sorry for the sarcasm, but that's not exactly a big trip!
D
180 Mile round trip.
Considering there are at least 4 other Alfa specialists that are nearer ......
Such a good looking car. And even more in black,
Really pushing the boundaries here! Would be awesome to get your 4c at that level. Planning on getting my s3 up to 450 as well ✌
Yeah it would be mental man! Can’t wait to see theirs when it’s done!
This is like asking for death… and I love it
Great content as usual Stef, just missed meeting you that morning as mine was the white one. Keep up the good work. 👍👏
Awesome car mate. Yeah saw both of them together they looked mega!
The problem is, if you keep squeezing HP from the 1750, reliability will suffer, sooner or later,, ka-boom, so better go and buy a Giulia QV, 510 out of the box and 600 just with a simple tune.
Wished that beast would fit in an 4c though.
But that would be faster than most Ferrari’s if done properly.
And that’s blasphemy in Italy.
@@1barnet1 has anyone dared to see if a honda motor fits in one of these? i feel like a turbo d16 would turn one of these into hell on wheels
Gulia is ugly tho. I think he needs to get the Alfa 9 engine swap that starts out with 412hp and with a turbo it gets up to 500
Alfa Romeo=cuore sportivo! Nice workshop gents: I reckon 450BHP 4C would be a pocket-rockett!
finallly a channel where i can find some info on the 4c :):) ... great stuff Stef... greetings from Belgium !
Thank you so much!
Since you mentioed a tweaked set up for the front , I'm using 12mm front spacers...possible to reveal the new front set up specs for these spacers please ?
I’ve been wondering - would it be possible to put the RS3 5 cylinder in one of these… imagine the sound and performance of that engine in the 4c
GRUPPO has its own 5 cylider engine and its way better imo
Nitron NTR3 or R1's?? - we use the NTR3 on our race car... never looked back!
Want to know what numbers it will do!! 0-60 and top
Same engine is in the 159 1.8 TBi, so it's possible for that also
will they sell that engine to the usa? thanks
Not sure mate. Drop them an Instagram message and see if they can do it :)
No, it would not be legal on the street in the USA. The emissions would virtually impossible to meet in a high boost turbo configuration, moreover, the power delivery would be intolerable, 2000 RPM and your making 120 HP. 2500 RPM, 200 HP, 3500 RPM 300 HP,...etc. Plus, no doubt, the transaxle could not take the torque....and would grenade in short order.
Carbon headlights would be sooo nice on your car
Or gloss black 👀
@@StefABtv the contrast of the carbon would be better imi
@@Kortec_Racing no
Very cool, I'd be interested in doing an engine swap into a Ferrari engine and have it take up the entire rear. It's just hard to find a lightweight Ferrari engine that isn't gonna throw the balance crazy off. Rn I think the 3.6 L V8 360 engine might be the best option for that but I'm not sure.
I bought my first Alfa when I graduated law school and it was wonderful but I always thought underpowered. Top speed 18. Where can I contact these place to have my new one customized like this
do they make a 6 spd manual they will mount to the 4c motor
A Great Show This......He's Talking Bout And Having Checked The ALFA ROMEO 4C 🇮🇹BOOM🇮🇹
i have to take My Giulietta Qv to this mad man, i need some advice :D
Haha yep give them a call!
We also have a Mito QV, remapped to 200HP (which is already bit mental), now imagine that Mito w/ a 2L and 400+ HP !!!!
@@rvcasa do u guys do remap on Dyno?
What can they do with my 1967 Berlina 1750?
Im in Poland and in Feb I will have to do my first service and dunno what to do 😭 we dont have any Alfa workshop here😭
Ah man that’s a shame :( but they can definitely give advice and help with tuning I would think :)
Nice video. Cheers from USA
What happened.. did they develop the tune???
They have it on their 4C now
@@StefABtv oh thanks for the answer.. is there a video I can watch anywhere I'd love to 😌😌
If you are going big Turbo, ridiculous boost, etc, better to use the former version of the 1750 Tbi, of the firsts Giulieta QV and last versions of 159, the block is iron, not Alu, much better for serious serious engine mods.
what gearbox is this atached too in the mito ?
Not sure. Assume it’s the 4C DCT
are 450hp going to the standard tct?
Not for long sadly. The stock clutch and trans will handle 300 hp and a bit more....but 450 will mean kevlar clutches at least.....some other beefing up also. But for the cost of this 450 hp engine you would be a fool to not go all the way wit those upgrades plus all the suspension mods including Nitrons, AW spacers, and especially the lower rear arm with uniballs instead of the stock rubber bushings. That last one should be the first one done as it will make a huge difference when tracking with stickier tires.
@@RobertKarlBerta I expect the TCT to grenade itself, it would probably easier to stick a sequential if they can find one that fits. I am always being intrigued by these spacers. Beats me that the engineers who designed it just did not do it right...puzzled
@@jacopo952 Sequentials are fine for racing but not for day to day operation....also from those that run sequentials on race cars they are quite expensive as they need to be rebuilt very often evidently after just a handful or races.
The 4C DCT per ALFA design spec is good for up to 350 ft. lbs. max. so that is a good guide to use but there are other weak spots pushing that much power. The clutch would be meeting its limits and 3rd gear is also the weakest link in the trans. Overall though even modded they are quite bullet proof even though they are close to or beyond their design parameters. When you start pushing any drive train beyond the factory specs you are entering dangerous $$$ territory.
@@RobertKarlBerta what you are saying suggests they are not using a sequential gearbox on a heavily modified 4C because you would have to attend to it more often than say a Corolla owner would want? I understand your point, however 450hp through the gearbox would need some revisiting, as you say, clutch and more. if is possible you would make the tct work, I just don't know how :)
How much for this amazing tune?
I can’t wait to see what an animal a 400+ hp 4C will be!!😳😬👌🏽
damn, 450hp in that is awesome, but what about the DTC, I heard it has some issues
Il cambio come fa a reggere 450cv? Non la frizione ,perché quella la puoi rinforzare.
Ma il cambio come regge 450cv?????
Awesome Alfa Romeo.
Is Jamie no longer in charge?
Yep he is there.
Imagine the 2.5 i5 from the TTRS in this
I like those upgraded 4C rims they've got on theirs Stef....hint, hint😉
Loool! I like the silver mate 😂
@@StefABtv I don't dislike them😉
So the 1750 fits the mito tasty
Someone needs to replace that 1.7L alfa engine with a 2.0L 4g63 and turbo that. If Someone could get nearly 1k hp into that beauty weighing only 0.9kg, it would be the same power to weight ratio as the 1 to 1! Ha that's my thinking 🤔 but I bet that would be a lot of R and D but still would be a hell of a lot cheaper than the 1 to 1.
Show us the mechanic 4C. On the track.
Mate it’s got to be done!!!
Could be an interesting project 😉
+🐍4C...la più bella di tutte...🇮🇹
Sei bravo
If you had shown the service step by step it should be better.....
I wouldnt do that it is not designed to handlle too many horses because its so light that it will surely fly...
Think you’re getting modding itchy feet. :)
I never get this stuff. Why not just get the giulia Quadrifoglio. That's wat I did. If you want to spend more money spend it wise. personally don't like all the tuning upgrades. I would be afraid of it. Can't believe a tuned 4c will drive nicer than a Quadrifoglio. I smile every day I start her up.
Dirk Cuypers I love my QV more and more every day but the allure of the beautiful little mid-engined 4c is still there...
@@jerrycube6244 yes, as a car on the side. Not to replace it. If I had to pick only one I would pick the qv every single day. That's only my opinion.
Well your Giulia is never going to get close to the driving experience of a 4C which is much more hardcore. A 450bhp will be much much faster than a 503hp Giula QV and a hell of a lot more exciting. Much more uncomfortable of course but many times more exciting. Tuned cars are more fun than regular cars.
@@dirkcuypers6669 Your QV just weight +1000lbs as compared to the 4C. It's a pork. No amount of power can compensate the rules of physics in corners 😬 And we talk about a 450hp 4C, it would pull like a 600hp Giulia in the straights.
@@MD-uu5nt If you are in the game, you know that reliability will suffer, a lot, if not the engine, the gearbox, the transaxle, sooner or later at full boost something is going to explode. I played a lot, with many cars, big turbos and stuff, don't fool yourself, you know is going to happen.
Bello👍
Après alfa Romeo et bien ,il n y a plus rien sauf les Panzer allemand s
Hey Stef go to Pogea Racing in Germany. Number one for Alfa Romeo 4c
Just buy an exige, and cure everything, seems alot of expense
Don’t do it! You would be dead in a week! We wouldn’t have any more great videos!
But not yours !
