She previously held academic positions at Brown University School of Public Health and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I am shocked (but not surprised) that in the slide "Reasons for Transition" only 62% and 71% said the reason was to alleviate gender dysphoria. That number should be 100%. So many of these other reasons are nonsense and are NOT a reason to transition. To me, this slide just goes to show that kids are not capable of making a decision like this. And even if they transition when they are over 18...once they start on puberty blockers and hormones, there's almost no turning back.

The data shows that if a kid is allowed to socially transition, they are very likely to do puberty blockers, if they do puberty blockers, they almost always go for the surgery.

Even for the majority of those children experiencing gender dysphoria, these medical interventions have no evidence of relieving their dysphoria long term. If watchful waiting is used while patients are receiving therapy for comorbid mental health, developmental delay and or trauma, as much as 98% will find their gender dysphoria resolves at the resolution of puberty.

A thoughtful, systematic way to look at this issue.

Thank you! I am going back over lectures to refresh my memory and to learn how to talk to folks about this more that it’s heating up.
I feel that this is an Egregore and not evolution.

U were talking about the friend groups of 3 and 5 my sister is in one of those and she believes she’s trans and they do exactly what you said also a bit later u were talking about how the sexuality could do it to / I feel this could also be the reason because she wants to be a gay man she hates straights so I feel this has something to do with it to

She hates straights... interesting. Someone I know claimed they wanted to switch genders, be referred to as a masculine name. Idk if she hated straights but she seemed to identify more with her non-White side (she's White appearing) than her White side. I assume it's all just sort of left wing identity politics and resentment.

I would love to see a study which adresses the co prevalence of other personality disorders with "trans" like histrionic pd or borderline. In which I would wonder if "trans" was just a way for the attention seeking parts of the named pds. Also the autistic "trans" people. I'm wondering if those would have the same "gender disphoria" if they were the actual other sex. Like as if it is just a sign of them not grasping the whole sex/identity stuff - just feeling different/misfit - therefore... trans.
Also as a biological female I'm often appaled by the representation of womanhood by trans women. As if womanhood was defined by how much you like make-up, nail polish and high heels. It is often a pretty male approach to womanhood.

Why does the speaker say"medical co.plications" so fast and in the morning middle of sentences?
Why don't you as a doctor elaborate on the medical problems you seem to go on about the unimportant bull....i am not happy about this video i feel you are misrepresenting the same and why these people are not satisfied with the mutilation on healthy young vibrant humans frank insteinmaker...stay away from children
