🌻Good day everyone! I hope you all have a great start to a new week. Happy Fall 🍁🧡🍂
Thanks and enjoy the rest of your week!
Good morning!
To you too!🍁☕️💛
Hi Laura, thanks for Alllllll your videos. They are so helpful. Thanks again. Cincinnati, Ohio
Thank you and you as well from Arizona
You should get some of those qrcode tags so you walk by and scan the code with your phone and it shows the name and picture. And when you get ready to dig and store you can put the tag with tubers to make it easier to plan where they go next year! And if you use your big crates for more than one variety you can use a big piece of cardboard as a divider.
Wow so much easier Laura I hope for your knees youcanfigure out.
Love this idea, thanks!
🌿Great idea. Can you provide a link?🌿
Great video! The raspberries you were calling fogols I have not heard of, will have to try them.
Laura, you made us laugh this morning. You enjoyed your raspberries lol! So cute. And it was amazing getting an up close look at your dahlias, thank you. Your grass pathways are so nice and pleasing to the eye. What a fun way to start the day 40 minute walk, breakfast & coffee watching Garden Answer. The Best!
This is why I love your channel.
You do the work. You are organized.
You talk about issues with honesty and solutions.
Your product recommendations are so helpful. The FELCO gloves for doing thorny projects saved my hands today.
You are not whiney when challenges are there.
You have a bunch of info and present it in an accessible way.
The music is varied, soothing and conducive.
Family, animals- much appreciated.
Creative- and you spark this in us viewers.
Not a lot of excess talking and the talking is informative. Plus you have a wonderful vocabulary.
May we just say thanks? Thanks!
The dahlias are beautiful!! I think it's so cool that you're still picking from your berry patches!
Good morning GA community! Coffee Cheers to you and Autumn! Fall has hit my part of Missouri.
Good morning, it’s definitely autumn here in northern Utah ☕️ 🍂
Nice to meet you@@VirginiaMathews94!🖐
A couple of questions: You went back to the auger, did you not like the stick thing, and how often will you water the garlic during the winter? People are going to miss you not having a free flower day. The dahlias are beautiful this year. I think Clyde's Choice is my favorite. I love the color.
I just wondered the same about the stick / auger!
I think she needed the auger to get a better reach on digging the holes to put in the garlic 🧄🧄
Good morning, Laura ☕️ The Dahlias are all so gorgeous! 😍 Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
Your thumbnail looks like a Monet painting. Beauty and peace. ❤😊 That's what a garden grows.
Good morning, Laura, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b ❤
Great to follow you around doing your morning chores. Those Dalhias are To Die For!
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾👍
❤Peggy❤
Morning Florida neighbor! Isn’t Laura the best?
@Meems56 Good morning 👍
I've been watching Laura since May of 2016 and, yes, she's wonderful. She inspired me to start my own garden channel back in 2020, at age 70! I love getting people out of their chairs to grow flowers, veggies and raise worms to grow better soil.
Thanks for saying hi 👋
Im 9b as well in Florida😊
I am hoping to grow some dahlias for the next season. I am not sure which variety
Oh my gosh your flowers are amazing! My daughter loves the cut flower garden I start for her each year. It would be so special to get some of your Dahlias to put in her garden.
Your Dahlias are so beautiful!! I can't get enough of them. Mine don't do much in the Tropcs. Those Dinner plates make me catch my breath. Thanks so much for sharing!❤❤❤
Thanks for showing how to plant garlic. Also, is amazing how beautiful all the Dahlias look together. Amazing. Thank you
The view over the dahlias to the garden flower shed looks so lovely. I'm always impressed how you remember all the names of the varieties you have and seeing the many varieties in one garden.
Hey Guys!!! I been following your channel when you first moved in to this beautiful home! But out of curiosity. I never see videos of Laura unboxing gifts from people all around the world anymore!!! Why not!!! I loved them!!!
I continue to be amazed by the astounding variety of gorgeous dahlias! What a beautiful riot of color and texture the cut flower garden is!!
Laura I had my first dahlia this year it was magnificent. Plan more and more for next year. My Zinnias were exploding. I used them on a cake for a shower this weekend. My kitchen and bedroom were decorated every week. Thank for displaying yours today. I can’t wait for garden answer every day. Glad you take off every Saturday for family. Those little one, love what you do for them. Children deserve the outdoors.
I love zinnias. Earwigs killed them after they barely came up.
Hi I got a great knowledge from you about garlic and other gardening I hadn't ever seen such a hard working lady at garden your garden is so so fabulous
I turned 40 this year and decided to start a flower farm with a roadside flower stand next year. Eek! I had never heard of dahlias until I started watching your videos years ago and I have fallen in love hard. I wish I lived closer to you and could help divide the tubers to learn. I've watched your videos on how to divide and store the tubers and it has been so helpful. Thank you so much for inspiring us to try new things and grow everything. ❤
The segment pertaining to dahlias was glorious! A symbol that there can be peace on earth! Thank you, Laura, for sharing these with all of us!❤❤❤
What a gorgeous sight to see the dahlias.
Oh I would love to have some tubers. My granddaughter made a few arrangements with my dahlias and took to her boyfriend’s grandmother. That was the main reason I planted them so we could enjoy those beautiful flowers together. Each time she made an arrangement she took a picture and sent me or either I would go down and look at it in person. Mine are doing better right now since it has cooled off a little. Thanks for sharing all your tips on raising dahlias. Pat in North Carolina
Good morning!🌻🐝
Hi Laura, still have to get my garlic in the ground! I’m hoping the first decent day as we have had a lot of rain! I am thankful to have only about a seven Dahlias to label and dig, happy for you it will be a team effort! 🌸🌸🌸
I love the close up footage of Laura picking berries. Hopefully next year you can do the flower giveaway, especially to the assisted living residence and elderly shut in’s. Benjamin’s smile when he handed out flowers or put on neighbor’s doorsteps last year was precious. Princess Samantha is old enough to join next time! ❤❤❤ Thank you GA Team!!! 😊😊
Hi Laura! Thank you so much for taking us along to watch the garlic planting. Does garlic need any additional fertilizer/compost in the spring? Thank you so much, and I find such peace with all your videos. :)
gorgeous Dahlias! I get so bummed when you don't stop and show the beautiful burgundy ones! They're my favorite . I haven't grown Dahlias because they are so much work, but you could convince me when I see these beautiful show stopping blooms.
So happy to see some close ups of the dahlias!! Really missed you doing personal flower arrangements this year!!
Everyone has their own favorite daliah but I love them all ❤
I wondered about growing garlic... now I feel more confident in trying it myself. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome music. When I plant my garlic I'll hear this. Thanks.
Laura - I always enjoy your, “Hey guys, how’s it going”. But, honestly, your sign off - “Thanks for watching this video, I hope you enjoyed it” - how could we not?! I’ve seen *almost* every single GA video and yes, love, I enjoy them all.
Good morning, I could have looked at the flowers all day! Thank you for showing the flowers up close...really gorgeous. It's always so relaxing to be in the garden with you! Thank you. 😊Have a really beautiful rest of the day & week!
Yes! Do a giveaway! Not because I want to leech off of you, but to have a piece of Laura’s garden would be amazing 🫶
Where there were three Lauras picking raspberries, I wished I could have just one for just two weeks to work in my garden. 😊❤️
Love, love the view of the beautiful cut flower garden with your garden cottage!
Oh.. would love that as a picture.
With cold weather coming, i find myself wanting to hang on to every last flower. I love fall, but dread the dreary cold dark months.
Special request for Aaron, i understand it is a lot of work... a drone shot if all the views of your garden, and of course the pond, with background of the cottage..Chicken Coop etc.
It would give many of us joy to get that flower fix when the drearies ( my term) hit. I know there are many who know that feeling. I hope you will do more arrangements in the garden cotttage, it is so pretty!
If you did table arrangements for nursing or assisted living, i know it would be appreciated greatly! Something to see, smell, touch, that is beautiful brightens their day! Especially those who have had gardens in the past. I know you don't look for accolades, ignore those who think you do..they have no clue! I love your GA vids.
Joyful video, Laura. You being in the thick of the Dahlias was so beautiful and fun.Thank you for telling us the names. Your vids are fun!
Planted my garlic today after watching this video which was right on time!! Thank you thank you 🥰💖🧄❤
Good morning everyone 🌻🌞 Have a blessed day ❤🤗 Gorgeous flowers! Dahlias and zinnias are so beautiful even though October! I waited to buy some because we moved but so many to buy for a yard that has no flowers but a neglected butterfly bush and a knock out rose....
In the first few years I threw a lot of organic flowerseeds for wildlife around. It's a lot of work and money to fill in your garden at once. This way I had flowers for months and the bees and butterflies loved it. Slowely I'm adding more plants, but the flowers and wildlife come back every year 😊.
Thank you Laura & Aaron for all you do ! One question, since it’s fall & your drip tubing is off in your raised beds, how often will you water your garlic crop ? Thank you & God Bless ! 🙏❤️🙏
I'm not as knowledgeable as Laura but I do grow a couple thousand garlic each year so I think I can help with this question! 😊 It's the wet season during winter where I live, so I basically don't water all winter. They grow very very slowly during winter, so they don't need a lot of water. Lightly damp is all they need during winter (though they can handle plenty of moisture as long as they're well-drained).
When I plant them in autumn, I water when I plant them, then I usually can forget about them until spring. If it's really dry for an extended period in autumn/winter and the soil is drying right out, then give them a drink. Other than that, I don't really start watering until spring, when their growth starts going bonkers. But if I get occasional rain during spring, then I don't worry about watering at all.
They're a great crop coz they're so stinkin easy to grow. Just make sure there's zero competition (no weeds, no grass) or your bulbs will be tiny. Garlic doesn't like competition. Besides that, just make sure the soil isn't desert and you'll be good! 😄
Oh my 😮😮😮😊😊💓🌸 what a dream to be surrounded by so many beautiful flowers. They're so beautiful. 😍 great to see how garlic is planted. Those raspberries look yummy
The video editing adds to the fun!🌺🍁🌿
I would make Christmas Jam with those berries you harvested. Mixed berry. It is a winner
Hi Laura! I'm going to try growing garlic for the first time this year in a whisky barrel. You got a nice little bunch of berries. A giveaway on the dahlia tubers would be nice. Thank you so much for sharing!
Omg love the yellow dinnerplate at 19:44 min. We had a gorgeous one that we lost during the winter and I’ve had no luck finding another one. It was my husband’s favorite one too.
Good morning Laura and family
Cut Flower Garden is beautiful love alk those colors I'm ready to plant my garlic. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful rest of the day 👋🙂🍓
The cut flower garden is breathtaking. I really enjoy seeing it.
The Dahlias are beautiful ! So , much color 💗💜🏡
good evening everyone! looking forward this channel every night, even the first scene is already a rainbow of flowers...
The dahlias are so beautiful! So happy to hear the thrips have gone elsewhere. The Berries you harvested look so good. I'm sure you and the family will enjoy them. It's terrific that you are reaping the rewards of your hard work.🍁🍂🐈
Your dahlias are absolutely gorgeous! I love them. We like our golden raspberries, too.
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to everyone!☺️🇨🇦
I realize most viewers start their day, watching your videos in the morning---but oh the joys of ending my day (actually late at night) with your gorgeous flowers. Sweet dreams for sure.
The scapes that come up during the garlic growing season are so GOOD!! They really should be picked off to let the plant concentrate its energy on the garlic head development. They are such a wonderful addition to cooking!! So GOOD.
Absolutely gorgeous flowers!
I wish I had all these dahlias!! They are all soo beatuiful!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing the garlic planting! I will plant some one day!
The Dahlias are all so gorgeous! 💐
I’m always amazed by your ability to identify so many plants. Every dahlia you showed us was beautiful. It would be impossible for me to pick my favorite.
Love seeing the flower garden still flourishing. It does take time to adjust to the changing seasons. I think I say goodbye and thank you to all in my garden, till next spring. Thank you Garden Answer for inspiring me to create.
Oh boy...so much work with the Dahlia's! So worth it though, they are stunning! I've never grown any, maybe next year. Thanks for the inspiration. 🌺🌼
Am in 7b and I didn't dig it up last year my first time planting, now it's blooming none stop didn't buy too much because it was a trial for me , now am in love 😊
How fun it would be to have all those beautiful blooms to pick from, for bouquets 💐 to put in the house 🏠!!! Enjoy seeing your beautiful gardens ,daily with a cup of coffee ☕️, usually 😊!
I always enjoy the tour of your cut flower garden. Because of drought conditions I decided to tear out the lawns front and back. The mature fir trees dropped so many needles and made it difficult for the grass to grow no matter how much water it got. I converted all the lawn sprayers over to drip and even with all I have planted I use far less water than when I had lawns. I'd decided I wanted a pollinator garden and after one of your Dahlia videos I started my own patch along with perennials for the bees and birds. I got a bit carried away and after filling one area with Dahlia's I put in a planter for some of the overflow and then started planting them throughout the garden. I got into seed starting after another of your videos and have a yard full of flowers I started. I take cut flowers to neighbors, family and to the doctors when I have an appointment. The flowers never fail to make people smile....
To extend the season of the orchard, consider planting Italian Prune Plums. They taste way better after a freeze and are one of my favorite fruits.
The large yellow dahlia at 19:43 is Kelvin Floodlight. I have these and they are my grandkids favorite as they get a kick out of how big they are "Look grandma it's as big as my head" :)
Some of my most favorite home made jams are mixed berry. Your mix would be so yummy!!
The dahlia patch, though! Can it be there is any more spectacular display of flowers? If so, I don’t know what it would be!!!💚💚💚🙏🙏🙏
Great video oh my you got lots of lovely fruit picked today.. And your dahlias are just so beautiful and tall. Just a beautiful inspiring video today.
Please, please , please; plant a weeping willow tree close by your pond. Imagine how lovely when the tree reaches full maturity and a gentle breeze blows it’s soft branches out over the pond.
They look so beautiful!
Wow, Laura, beautiful Dahlia display of colorful magic!
Those flowers are so beautiful
Thank you for explaining the differences in the garlic. All the dahlia's are so beautiful.
Good morning!! I learn so much from you Laura!! 💜💜
Hi Laura! Just curious if you still have family and friends coming and cutting bouquets from your garden? Your flowers are always so amazing! You've inspired me to grow dahlias again. 😊
Heeyyyy, loving this video and groovy music. I will be trying out the garlic and raspberries. Thanks so much for all of your work and information.
Give A way dahlias 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 that would be so awesome!!
Wow, your dahlias look beautiful❤
After a long day of sad news of the world I was able to take my mind off of things for a bit by watching this video, thank you so much, it was wonderful to see so many beautiful flowers!!!
even though I've planted garlic before, love the refresher course and of course found out the difference between hardneck and softneck which I didn't know before, thanks! I've planted both this year. and I might just get that tool from Gardener's Supply!
What a field of color!
Perhaps it would be good idea to plant the dinner plate dahlias in your flower beds instead of with the cut flower garden. That way you can enjoy them just to look at in your borders. Still can't get over how beautiful your dahlias grow! It's definitely the right climate for them! ❤
Thank you for all the information and tips on growing garlic. Question: How much water do you give them? Do you keep them moist? Do they need to dry out in between watering? Those dahlias are gorgeous! The good thing for your viewers is that through your garden, we can see what each look like to know what we would want for our garden. I imagine most people don't have that many. That is a lot of work! But absolutely beautiful!
Love this video. Planting garlic is so useful. We all need garlic. I think the Dahlias are so beautiful. You have a beautiful garden. Have a blessed day.
I enjoyed the display of these lovely flowers, so gorgeous.
Thanks for showing your sunny day in the garden. I really enjoyed seeing the dahlias. Peaches n Cream dahlias have been one of my best performers this season. Sandia Brocade is so special, too. I put a few blooms in a vase to enjoy, but the petals fall quickly. Bees love all the anemone dahlias, and it makes me happy to see them there. The anemones are not as good for cutting, but I also grow for the bees to enjoy!
I love Dahlias!!! 🌸🌼
🌺🌼🌸Excellent idea of a dahlia giveaway! I'm sure your subs would love to grow them from Laura's dahlia patch! AND you could ask the recipients to send pics of the dahlias growing in their gardens. How fun! 🌺🌼🌸
You are going to get garlic scapes this year which come with growing hardneck. Enjoy this delicacy!
Such gorgeous Dalias! I was like, “where’s Laura?” It is amazing to see the amount of fruit you are getting in October. Great video!
Good job Larah! The flowers are beautiful ❤️
Scapes! You forgot that hard neck varieties grow scapes. The flower heads that grow about 2-4 weeks before you harvest the garlic and you can use them for cooking. I love making garlic scape pesto and I use them in soups and sauté in eggs.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! 🇨🇦 🦃 Beautiful fall day here in Alberta of 25 C (77 F)
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁🇨🇦
The flowers are still looking good even as we get to the middle of October.
My Dad always raised dahlias. I always remember the nigh before a frost Dad would always say we have to get out there to label the dahlias! Always cold but precious memories
It’s always a great day when I can start my morning by learning more Garden Answers with you and your video. I am so enjoying the information I get from you. Thanks so much for the information and inspiration 🌸🌾🌻🌹🌷🌾🌺
I love the harvest. You are making me want to grow fruit and vegetables. I am a flower person but you are encouraging 🪴 Thanks 😍
Wow raspberries in October! We have a 2 week harvest in July and that’s it😢. You are so lucky to live where you do.
I'm impressed that you can remember all of the variety names of the Dahlias, and keep them in order. If I grew them, they'd be one big, hot mess! Great work ♥♥
Good morning from Grants Pass OR, love being in your garden most mornings! Absolutely Beautiful! Wonderful fall morning here in Oregon💕
