Love the Susan tool ! I am also part of the vertically challenged part of the population 😂 Can you put a link to Andrew’s on the video so we can order?
Hi Laura! I am overwhelmed with gratitude and felt the need to share. You are such an inspiration to me. As a mother, as a daughter, as a woman. I am so very grateful to you and the way you spread joy and cultivate the love of gardening and art in myself and others. Your channel is such a bright spot in my life and I am so grateful for wonderful women like you who inspire me. Thank you for all that you do. Also thank you to your mother who I think of often when I am parenting my four children and the relationship that I am aspiring to have with them. Just overall, thank you so much for such a beautiful family!

Mom or sister? Seriously she’s absolutely beautiful & so young at heart! Fun times together. My favorite shopping buddy is my mom, she started me early, we’re blackbelt shoppers.
🌻Good morning everyone. Yay, this is just a real treat, shopping with Laura and Susan. So much love, laughter and lovely things. I sure needed this break today! Enjoy a beautiful day everyone 🍁🧡🍂
I love antique shopping and the East Coast has soooo many antique shops, I think your Mom would have found her chandelier! Thank you for taking us along. What a gift it is to still have your Mom being so vibrant and being able to shop with her. I miss mine. Have a wonderful pizza dinner!
Laura, Monica & their brother are truly blessed having Susan as a mum. She's so encouraging & has the best smile. I love watching them out together enjoying each others company even though it does make me a wee emotional. I wish them all the health & happiness. Much love from SW England 🇬🇧🇺🇲❤️
@@dianequist835 finger's X'd, maybe in my next life I'll be fortunate enough to have quality moments like these with my wee mum. I've no doubts Susan's children & grandchildren all adore her.
I am grieving the loss of our beloved dog Pickles and I wanted to thank you and your mother. Her sweet and positive nature is most appreciated during this dark time. I think the world would be a better place if more folks took her approach to life😊
What a great day with your mom! I live a thousand miles from my own mom, and I miss our antique shopping trips together. Thank you for letting us come along!
Laura, its so cute how you assume most of us wont be there to the end of the video. Of course we are there lol. We love these, and your mom is just a treasure to see on videos. Love these vids soooo much. Cooking, gardening, its doesnt matter. We wanna go along for the journey
So...watching the state of affairs with my morning coffee was not a good idea. So I switched over to GA, and here I am enjoying the hopeful and invigorating Garden Answer gals. Thank you for being a spot of normalcy and goodness for the times we are in. Bless you!
Yes, we need to take the news in small doses. The world is truly in a sad state. Our country also, it frightens me to see such decline in our beautiful country.
Lovely memories of antique browsing with my mummy ❤ The little hand bell. I have one that I let my daughter use when she was little when poorly in bed. To save me running up and down asking if she needed anything. She loved it. Ringing every half an hour or so to ask for something. Like a magic fairy bell. I didn’t mind one bit. #cheeredherup
Just delightful from start to finish 😊The witty banter had me in giggles 🤭 You spotted so many lovely things. Thanks for inviting us to come along and join in the FUN! You Mom was looking “super fly”in that jacket by the way!!
Good morning everyone. I can't tell you how happy I am when I saw this video...I'm enjoying watching with my morning cup of coffee...what a way to start the day! 😊Thank you so much! Have a really beautiful day everyone from Ontario, Canada 🍁🍁🍂🍂🧡🧡
First thing I did while enjoying my coffee. Love the relationship you have with your mother. For those of us who lost our mothers at a young age, it is so wonderful to watch.
Love it when you go antiquing with your mum... I would have loved to do that with my mum, but not to be... and in Australia we don't have many shops like that in Sydney, they are your more serious antique shops. I could go wild in the first one, those urns would be thousands each over here! But when you spotted that horrendous floor lamp, your reaction was the same as mine.. I laughed out loud! The beautiful blue and white dome was a Wedgewood Jasperware cheese bell... Mum's new garden "S" tool is great... but it reminds me of a "weapon" from my childhood. I'm 72 and I remember a much longer version used by my infant's school teacher to reach the very high, old windows in the classroom... I also remember her handwriting went up at such a crazy slant on the huge blackboard, my Dad made her a stained timber ruler with a handle, so she could draw lines to write on! So funny the things you remember from so long ago... ❤🦘
Morning to all. Love tagging 😂along with Laura and Susan, they have such fun together. Spending this time with your Mom is never a waste and will be with you forever.🍁🎃🍂🍇🤣
Such a heartwarming and delightful antique shopping adventure with your mom. The mini garden tour was a lovely touch. 🌿❤ Thanks for sharing this special day with us.
I love your mama's "S" tool! I am ordering one to help me with my bird feeders! I am always jumping to grab the limb to pull it down so I can add seeds. Now, I won't lose seeds or risk breaking a bone.
I nearly cried when y'all were looking at the Lenox China. I inherited a full set of that pattern of China from my grandma, and I think of her every time I see it! Miss her tons! Such a beautiful pattern!
@@gretchens_haus it's the McKinley pattern by Lenox! I love it because it's beautiful, yet neutral enough to use for all of the holidays! The teacups also remind me of Chip from Beauty and the Beast!
LOVE when you shop with your mom. I can’t wait until Samantha is old enough to join you guys. What is your favorite thing to look for when you go antiquing? Enjoy the day.
I used to own a framing shop and you are paying for all the specialty cutters and equipment and all the work is hand made and takes about one hour to build. I loved that shop ( 4 corners frame shop)
Susan 😂 funny gal. What a fun day! I just got to go to your garden center on the 13th! We live 6 hrs away in Oregon city. But were on a camping trip just a couple hours away. So my friend and I made the journey. Got to meet your mom and sister. They are every bit as sweet as they seem on your videos. We probably smelled like smoke or worse. After been camping for a week. 😜 I bought some bulbs and a couple shrubs. And a mug. It was such a fun day for us. Love your channel !
I have been giggling this whole video, y’all are cracking me up. Your mom is an absolute treasure! I’d go broke shopping with her, she can sell anything! ❤ Thanks for bringing us along, just loved it.
Good Morning All, I've been wishing for this day with Laura and her Mom. Enjoying hearing their laughter and comments as they shop around. Yes Laura " This is a good day". 👍 Happy Autumn days 🍂🍁🇺🇸☮🌳🍃
Smiling through the whole video, never mind the tears running down my cheeks. I miss my Mama so terribly. I lost her three years ago... ***Cherish these moments*** This could have been a video of my mom and me, we went antiquing often 😢
That was a fun day even though you didn't find what you were looking for. LA Junk was gorgeous! That was a lot of thought and work! I love your Mom's new tool! I can see exactly how you would use it quit handy, and stylish! Laura, that view at the end where the kids were riding up on their bikes was picturesque! Stunning!
Nice to see both of you ladies having such a great time and found this video fun to watch. It made me laugh to see your Mom find her monogrammed tool to lift down branches so they can be pruned. The garden shown was so completely beautiful & Benjamin & Samantha are so cute playing together. I know your Mom will find her chandelier soon and glad you did find all the neat baskets,Laura. 😊
I love the relationship you & your mom have together. You crack each other up and share the same sense of humor. Reminds me of me & my daughter, we shamelessly enable each other and make each other laugh while we do it. I really look forward to when the two of you go on these antique excursions. 😆🥰
This was a lot of fun to visit the antique stores and see all the treasures. I don’t go often, too busy working at gardening and canning. I especially appreciate your antiquing trips because I live between you and Boise, so I could go to these places easily myself and have been to some of them. Thanks for sharing your fun times with us. Susan must have strong genes, Samantha Grace looks exactly like her, I think.
I just love your antique shopping days with your mom! I was laughing out loud with you as you were considering how funny it would be to serve a dinner with all covered serving pieces. You two are great! I always look forward to all of your videos. Bless you all!
I love when you and your mom go on outings. My mom passed, so I can no longer enjoy doing this with her. So going along with you two is like sweet memory with my mother. Thanks for sharing.
I love your mom..such a great smile and giggle. You both remind me of myself and my daughter.. we love shopping together.. we’re like best friends…truly brings joy to my soul ❤ your children are precious ❤
That's a cool pull tool for the tree. Recently was picking persimmons and couldn't quite reach the high braches. Only had hand clippers. That tool would have been really helpful. Glad your Mom showed it, never knew they existed. Thank you 🤗🌱
The LA Junk shop was once a nursery. The planting are beautiful EVERY season. Very inspirational...like your yards! 🙂 You could visit the Boise/Garden City area just to visit the pollinator gardens some time.
My favorite videos to watch, of all time, are the antiquing days with Mom and Monica, when she’s along. I’m a vintage dealer so I love seeing how others merchandise their stores and booths, and it’s just such vicarious fun.
Hello All ~ Enjoyed today's ride-along Antiquing. My only issue is that you didn't stop when I yelled, "OH WAIT! LOOK AT THAT!" whenever I did so. LOL I adore the loving banter between Laura & Mom. As a 5' short individual, I appreciate the new tool now readily available at the Garden Center. In FL, I'd use it when lemon picking... thorns on some of the lemon trees are brutal. 🍋
Hello to the community, I really love Laura and her Mom spending time, it reminds me of my mom. This time is so cherished, my mom passed away with 91 . Took care of her for many years. Alzheimer is a terrible decease, but we did shopping trips together, even then. Making memories is so important. Greetings from Germany 🙋♀️🌻🪴
Fun day! The $32 basket is a Longaberger basket. Bought new was probably not far off of that price. They hold their value pretty well. I have a few, but I can see by the amount that I notice in vintage shops, that they are not being embraced by the younger generation. They are very useful and if you are lucky enough to find one with the plastic liner, it’s a good thing! ❤️😊
I know about those Longaberger baskets and accessories. They are well made and high end for baskets. But these gals use their baskets in the garden and I can see they want a more rustic type for that.
I have a few Longaburgers, they were super popular in Georgia in the 1990s, sort of like Tupperware was in the 1960s. My 30 somethings are into big charcuterie boards and marble type, modern looking trays.
Good morning!!! Coffee and Laura, a lovely way to start the morning.. and then to boot, antiquating with Mom!! You have such restraint Laura, you passed on a few really fun thing!! You’ve made my day! 🧡💛🧡
Laura, this reminds me of when I used to go adventuring with my mom! She's been gone ten years and I miss her so (I'm 62). She would say, "Let me buy it, then in a few years you can have it!" So now I do, but... well, you know. That basket at 17:50 is a Longenburger basket. They were super popular where I live in Georgia in the 1990s, and expensive then too! Hand made. OH, I'd definitely buy the blue and white tablecloth!!! Love my blue and white tables.
The tool that Susan showed and demonstrated with the tree, is perfect. I would buy that in a moment! There’s been so many times where there’s a branch just outside your reach, where you could just pull that down with that tool, and like she said, fine-tune with hand trimmers. Brilliant.
I love these kind of videos.🥰 So fun seeing you and your Mom having so much fun. I'm so happy Benjamin is so patriotic. Patriotic kids come from patriotic families. We are here too in Sisters Oregon 😁🇺🇲.
oh i just love when you and your mom go antiquing....just like my daughter and i.... and in a shot of the video...there are 2 favorite piece's for us... the "bust" and the "dollhouse" we would seriously be having the "purchase" conversation as you two do ...
Loved this shoppin' video with your momma....albeit had to do it in sections....gotta love it.....loved seeing that vintage pump organ...I learned to play one at my aunties home when I was 13yrs ...am 76 now....the next time I played one, was in "small town" Sask, where I met folks who knew my paternal grandparents...gramma played the organ at the church in the 1930's ...they recommissioned the church, and a parishioner took it home I played it too...I was 55 (21 yrs ago now)....t'was my pleasure to learn all sorts of things from that time in their lives! Loved all the gardens you showed us today too....they're my happy place too....just like the ones you lovingly create for all of our enjoyment..... Thank you!!! All the best...Zone 3A in BC
I love these videos so much! You and your mom have such opposite taste of my own so it's nice that you point out things I'd never look twice at but I can appreciate them through you. Woah... vintage tablecloth from 1995??? I feel old. I was a freshman in college.
I love watching you and your mom shop. Y’all remind me so much of me and my mom. We would always shop, eat & shop some more. Seeing y’all brings back so many great memories of us. She passed away in 2010, but I could write a book about all the crazy, fun, silly things we did! 😂 Keep make memories!!!
Oh, Your Mom!! Can't get enough oh her!!😂🥰 She is hilarious😂😂LOVE HER!! 🥰🥰I love watching you too together shopping. It brings me such great memories of my mom who passed on last year. Hope I can meet you one day🙏🏽 You are very inspiring. And I have passed by Ontario (but just no time to go by Andrews) so I have more respect and admiration for your garden and your hard work into it, because Ontario is quite dry. Kudos to making such beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert. Simply, BEAUTIFUL!!🥰🥰
Interesting that you said we all need some time off once in a while ‘in so many words’ because when I click to watch your podcast, I was almost relieved, not to see work being done. Funny that you said that. I’m glad you shared that relaxing and fun time with your mom.
Laura, please please please do a video for hosting thanksgiving, it would be so so fun to see all the dishes you would be cooking, all the beautiful decors and your sweet sweet family!!!
Love watching your shopping trips to vintage/antique stores OVER & OVER until you film an updated/latest venture outings with your lovely mom & sister😊❤
Love when you and your mom go antiquing. You both are so funny. You have a great relationship. Benjamin and Samantha are so adorable both getting so big. Beautiful family. Glad you had a lovely time. Love all your videos.❤🎉❤🎉
@@marthaball8029 I love to go antiquing! With as many different things to look at, there's always something to be found that I'm not always familiar with. I don't think people can be a pro at "everything" 😉
Mom's excitement over the tool to pull down a tree limb was delightful! As a vertically challenged person, I appreciate how useful it could be!
I can see me using it to pull down branches to pick fruit. I am very short and even with a ladder much of my fruit would be out of reach.
I need one..so wish God gave me longer arms.
And since it’s monogrammed “S for Susan” it’s even more special!! 😂
I agree, very useful!
Love the Susan tool !

I have a few Longaburgers, they were super popular in Georgia in the 1990s, sort of like Tupperware was in the 1960s. My 30 somethings are into big charcuterie boards and marble type, modern looking trays.
Your moms hair is so pretty
It’s always a joy to hang with you two!! The baskets were meant to be yours! Good luck on the chandelier hunt. 👍👍 on the new tool Susan! 😊
I swear your mums HILARIOUS 😂😂
It’s so much fun seeing and going with you and your mom on shopping trips. I love to look around while your shopping. Thanks for taking us along.
Now I’m invested in your mom finding the perfect chandelier, lol. Very enjoyable video!
Interesting that you said we all need some time off once in a while ‘in so many words’ because when I click to watch your podcast, I was almost relieved, not to see work being done. Funny that you said that. I’m glad you shared that relaxing and fun time with your mom.
Ahh Benjamin is patriotic! "He could pledge allegiance all day long!" Too funny!
That was really quite funny and quite quick. I loved it, that he could pledge allegiance all day.
What a refreshing break from our crazy world!!! Love your mama SO much!!!
You gals are in rare form today! 😊 such fun!
Laura, please please please do a video for hosting thanksgiving, it would be so so fun to see all the dishes you would be cooking, all the beautiful decors and your sweet sweet family!!!
I think Laura‘s mom needs to open up her own antique shop! She can find a purpose for anything! ❤️🇨🇦
Love watching your shopping trips to vintage/antique stores OVER & OVER until you film an updated/latest venture outings with your lovely mom & sister😊❤
Boy I had fun with you girls today!🧡💛🤎 🍁
Love when you and your mom go antiquing. You both are so funny. You have a great relationship. Benjamin and Samantha are so adorable both getting so big. Beautiful family. Glad you had a lovely time. Love all your videos.❤🎉❤🎉
The knife rest was for carving knives.
Yes. There are smaller ones for table settings.
Correct, yet these two act as if it's their first time in a Antique store...what's up with that????
@@marthaball8029 I love to go antiquing! With as many different things to look at, there's always something to be found that I'm not always familiar with. I don't think people can be a pro at "everything" 😉
