    My mom sent me to a class to learn how to sew when I was 12 and the project was a t-shirt and shorts very similar to the ones you made. You took a week's worth of sewing lessons and turned them into 13 minutes of easy to follow directions. Thank you so much for making sewing so much more accessible and understandable! I've been sewing (badly) for over 30 years now and I think I would have enjoyed it way sooner if you were my teacher.

    That tube top is such a cute and useful project for beginners. I also appreciate the extra row of stitching on the edge of your shorts elastic casing. That's a great way to make sure the elastic doesn't roll.

    That outfit is cute on you. I could wear the t-shirt and the short s(around the house). I never wear shorts in public. I need to learn how to make my own sweat bands (like the ones from the 1970's and 1980's) for women. They held my hair out of my eyes, off my face, and neck while soaking up sweat. They were made from terry cloth. They are no longer sold today.

    • @agsuvongiest
      @agsuvongiest 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know what you mean and here's how I would make one (using the methods Aprils showed on this video); If the fabric isn't stretchy make a "big scrunchie" that fits around your head (use wide elastic and the fabric doesn't have to be super long like only few inches longer than your head measure). And if your fabric is stretchy make a narrow "tube top" that fits around your head. I hope this helps!

    • @SparkyOne549
      @SparkyOne549 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Arvetta, I believe the fabric for the old sweatbands is French Terry. All you need is the width and the length you need to make them.

    • @arvettadelashmit9337
      @arvettadelashmit9337 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SparkyOne549 I have no idea where may buy any of that fabric. Thank you.

      @SparkyOne549 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re welcome!
      Arvetta I was thinking about it after I replied, I can’t recall if the headbands were stretch, I think they were. If you can, look for stretch French terry, or French terry knit online, French terry is very absorbent. But the quality today won’t be the same. Remember, Cotton is more absorbent than polyester.
