    When I change to CUSTOM COLOR HDR in Smart HDR I don’t have se second arrow on the right you have, that means I cannot change anything, I have no options. Any ideas? Tried everything already

    It's my first time owning an OLED monitor and using HDR, is it normal that the overall brightness in game is very low? I've never used my old 2K monitor at more than 60%, but the AW3225QF (or atleast the HDR) feels like the 40% brightness of my old 2K monitor even after calibration...

    • @PCMonitors

      You might be observing things looking more as they should (unless they're bright elements), rubbish monitors under HDR just flood the image and overbrighten many shades. Or you may be observing the effects of ABL if brighter shades are dominating, as explored in the review.

    One more question I saw some reviews does the monitor come with displayport to display port? The videos I've see come with displayport to usb c? My 4090 and the monitor only has display port?

      Depends where you buy it from and perhaps regionally. Dell's website clearly says "1 x DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.4 cable ".

      So I have an alienware aw3423dwf. Just looked up the windows shortcut for hdr. It's a totally different experience.

    Hello guys it seems that this monitor has some issue about compatibility with few nvidia gpu when its connect with hdmi 2.1, do you know this ?

    • @PCMonitors

      It was fine with our RTX 3090, not sure what the issue would be (if there is one). Maybe something Dell needs to work out with Nvidia if so. But PC users can use DP 1.4 without issue anyway, so I don't see the problem.

    No matter whatever setting i choose im getting yellow warmer color tone instead of pure white? May i know is it normal in all QD-OLED models? Or mine is defective?

    • @PCMonitors

      You might've got used to a monitor that was cool tinted or had a clear blue bias to the spectrum as many backlights do. Due to the balanced spectrum of QD-OLED with significant red and green energy, it can appear warmer (even at the same white point) compared to what you might've been used to.

    What does console mode do? I don't see any difference between off and on, only the color saturation changes. Tested on XSX

    • @PCMonitors

      I'm not clear what it does, most people with consoles seem to report the same as you and usually find the monitor works well with it left off.

    Hi, pc monitors
    How do you set up G-Sync?

    • @PCMonitors

      There's no setting on the monitor for that, it's handled automatically. So as with any monitor you need to make sure the graphics driver is set up to use G-SYNC. As this one is verified as 'G-SYNC Compatible' it should be automatically set up, but it's worth checking. See the appropriate section of one of our written reviews for background on this - pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-q24g2a-bk/#VRR_Variable_Refresh_Rate_technology for example.

      If you feel it is then simply reduce the green channel.

    • @HendHeL

      @PCMonitors Sure that works, but was yours very green out of the box?
      Even the monitor menu (that doesn't get affected by color settings) is very green for me. Unlike yours.
      So I think my panel is overall too green and I'm having to force it to be less

    • @PCMonitors

      Per the review my unit had a good neutral white point and green channel. Maybe yours is badly calibrated, or you've got something else going on. Make sure you factory reset (others - factory reset) the monitor just in case and reinstall your GPU drivers.

      @@PCMonitors If you play FPS it's all about seeing your opponents first. As darker the settings of the screen as later your see the opponents. So yes a clear bright vision is key for success in those kind of games. I came from a Samsung neo G7 with 2000 nits and i have to admit that brightness on that monitor is far less than with the Neo G7.

    • @PCMonitors

      @@YouAreRightForSure It's still a matter of preference. I play a range of FPS games, some competitively, and don't feel the need to make the image look worse or 'enhanced' to perform well. Nor would I want to do so. But for those seeking a competitive edge it can of course help - there are a range of settings available exactly because people will have their own preferences.
