Fine tutorial, no matter how many times I watch or which updated version it's always beautiful and I still learn or I'm reminded of an aspect of fly design. Thanks for talking about the hook, that's the foundation of the design, and you've shown your concerns with other patterns I've watched. what size palmer chenille do you use for this pattern?
I was wondering the reason for why you switched to the tmc hook with this pattern? Would you still recommend the Allen while using the standard bruiser blend dubbing?

what kind of bobkins do you have?
We use all kinds. Right now we use a lot of Loon and C&F bobbins. Our vise is usually a Griffin Montana Mongoose, or a Regal Revolution.
Man, I am not sure this would catch fish, show us it catching fish! geese!
Unfortunately, this fly is not designed for catching geese... Only fish.
