As a "new tyer" I like to try almost anything and everything I find out here. I tied my first 4 Low Fat Minnows, though with a slightly different color scheme to better represent our forage food here, and threw them on the morning of July 1st. It was merely 2 casts before I had my first smallmouth on the fly. After throwing this fly for the better part of the morning I was very pleased with the action and the outcome, though my next batch will have a mono trailer holder, as I found that once in a while the tail could wrap the bend of the hook, affecting the action during the strip. All in all, thanks for the video, it was very helpful in getting me my first bass on the fly, and thanks for all the fish! ;)
This has become my favorite fly - I tie it on a 1/0 for stripers using nearly full plumes of marabou and on a size 4 for false albacore - great fly thank you
Can you at least show us a swimming video? If you cannot see the fly underwater, we don't know how it swims! Ive seen people at forums tell people the fly sucks unless its shown underwater right?
