    Love the natural and synthetic combo. I'm sure that Enrique would approve and Lefty would be proud, R.I.P.

    Nice touch with feather tail and lateral line . Heading out for Tarpon and snook end of the month will whip up a couple variations of this to see how they work . Thanks for sharing

    Mono thread is the best. I wouldn't attempt bucktail work without it.

    It looks like you are using about a half of hook shank of ep fibers per stack.
    Great looking fly thanks for sharing.

    Way back in the day, I tied a fly called the Aztec. It is tied with an acrylic yarn. I have not tied the fly-in gee got to be 40 years now. Somewhat the same kind of thing here just cruder. The fly would look pretty much like crap until you got it wet, A good little bait fish for trout fishing, It just took too much time to tie and the wooly bugger was both quicker to tie and fished even better. I am just lazy that way I guess. I may give this one a try. There is plenty of Large Mouth Bass where I live so why not I suppose. Your Videos are never too long.

    Hi Mr Charlie, huge fan here! Can you come up with a sunken stone pattern for salmonfly season on the swing? I cant find a single thing on the youtube!

    Thanks Charlie, I was in the boundary waters in Mn and tried to tie a bucktail minnow. I got some strikes from pike but do you think EP fibers work better? I kinda did the same technique you used in this one. I noticed the bucktail fly was super buoyant even though I weighted with lead wire. Any thoughts?

    Great looking fly.
    Are the EP as stiff as "flash'n slinky" or are they softer??

    I may have missed this but the mono thread is just for invisibility factor so you don’t see it when it’s wet? Thanks for an absolutely awesome video!

      Yep…it just disappears and lets the color show through

    Do you think adding the feather tail would add movement to improve a standard EP fiber baitfish for salt? Also, do you mix your yarn to essentially create the 3D version of EP fiber?

    • @CharliesFlyBox
      @CharliesFlyBox  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes and yes…but mixing myself allows whatever combination I want

    I wish you'd do these on a blue background so its easier to see contrast and dark colors.
