Stock Dyno Testing on our 2024 Ford Mustang GT + K&N Filters

- Today, Jared visits Palm Beach Dyno to test out our 2024 Ford Mustang GT Manual while still in its stock form (mostly), apart from UPR Catch Cans, Corsa Double HH Pipe, Steeda's Stop the Hop Kit, and Vossen HF7's with Nitto NT555G2's in 305/30R20's.
After a couple runs with the stock air filters, we swap them out for K&N's Universal Filters (RU-1037) and gave a couple more runs to compare the differences.

Hi Jared, excellent video. The new 2024 S650 in Grabber Blue Metallic looks awesome. I ordered a Dark Horse back on 6 April. The UAW strike didn’t help the build timing. I will be looking for new tires 🛞 to replace the track tires coming on the DH (Pirelli Trofeo RS). Do you think that the Nitto RT 555 G2s that you just put on perform better than the Pirelli PS4S tires? Never had the Nitto tires. I know that Speeda always uses them. Hey I have watched 3 videos where the carbon insert on the 2024 cars actually increased the rwhp from 5 to 12 hwp. Even saw 5+ hwp increase with the newer K&N filters that you talked about. So as much as 12 + 5 = 17 rwhp pick up by removing carbon filters & adding the new K&N cone filters.
What headers are you planning to get? Do you ever consider having the headers ceramic coated? I know Kooks will send out the headers to get done prior to sending them out. Thanks Jared‼️👍💪😎❤️🇺🇸✝️
Could you run the filters without the lid so they’re able to pull in air all around while dynoing and when driving to see more of an increase?
Thought it would easily make 400. My car was built a Palm Beach Dyno, maybe their dyno reads low which means I have more power than the dynosheet shows.
Does anyone happen to know what the cfm rating is for the stock air filters?

It’s not the filter being garbage. The s650 has ‘carbon filters’ in the manifold, once removed you get like an extra 15whp with the stock air filter
2019 Mustang GT 10R80 Still Making More Power Bone Stock And With Just Simple mods
Different day and different Dyno its not apple to apples.
Man, when my 2019 GT car was bone stock it made 405 SAE RWHP. It's a 10 speed. 3.55 gears with 305/35R20 28" heavy wheels/tires. It was also dynoed in 6th gear. If it had been dynoed in 7th gear, which is the 1 to 1, it would have dynoed higher. That dyno at PBD Hopefully is a Heartbreaker and these cars aren't duds.
I agree with ya that the Gen 4 isn't impressive over the Gen 3 but comparing different dyno's isn't it. You got 405 on that dyno but could drive down the street and get 375 at another one. A true comparison is taking a Gen 3 and Gen 4 car and dynoing them same day on same dyno
Different day , different Dyno he didnt correct for SAE or he would have been higher as this set the temp lower and less humidity either way good pull and just a baseline for his future modes. All the other back to back dyno pulls against the Gen 5s the Gen six may alittle more power. also may not be broken in yet.

Remove the carbon spiral tape from inside the intake tubes...... they really gimp air coming into the system
What's with the peak numbers occurring at very very different rpms from run to run?
Not quite sure on that one. Could have been the dyno itself acting up. We actually did make a few pulls where the car wouldn't redline to the limiter. We left those runs out as they were incomplete pulls to use.

Filters/CAI’s, really don’t make a difference unless the car is moving, where it will suck in more air than stock.
Not necessarily true. Restriction is restriction whether moving or not. The engine is always trying to breath.

@@louzapantis A ram air intake specifically relates to an intake system that uses the movement of the vehicle to create more air flow into the intake. That doesn't mean that if you don't have a ram air intake you can't increase flow or remove restriction with other types of intakes. Larger intake tubes, larger diameter MAFs and high flow filters are also proven to increase HP/TQ as well. Basically just because it's not a ram air intake doesn't mean the vehicle won't benefit from other induction modifications.Hope that helps.

This should be a 420 HP car. Not 480. There's no way the drivetrain should take 100 hp to run.
I'm honestly going to BMW next car. This is a joke seeing all these low numbers. At least a BMW puts down pretty damn close to the rated numbers and not these mythically calculated numbers. They should be rated at the wheel and not "crank HP"
