Over here in the States, they’re mostly ridden by, respectfully, old men (and some women) that KNOW about motorcycles. Interestingly enough, with the v7iii and the 850 models, this is changing. More of the younger crowd is buying the Guzzi brand and seems like dealer network is growing. I know I came across the brand by accident. A friend was selling their V7 Classic and it was within my price range, but I almost bailed out because all I knew is it’s Italian. In the US, we perceive Italian = $$$ (£££). I decided to try it and it changed my life forever in my motorcycling career. I’ve met people I never would have otherwise, explored and saw places that just made it special on this motorcycle, etc. Now, I still have that V7 Classic all these years later and I recently added a V7iii Milano with ECU tune, Mistral exhaust, etc. Two bikes with two entirely different attitudes, but both retain the Italian charm and character. Thanks for sharing these videos, i feel like the channel is without a doubt the top of the best on TH-cam. Perfect blend of commentary and riding. Gorgeous scenery over there, hope one day I can experience it with the wind in my face
I meant to add in that the history of the brand also makes me very proud to own one. The mandello eagle as a tribute to one of the founders who didn’t get to see the brand come to life due to passing in the service, being the first motorcycle brand in the world to build and use a wind testing tunnel, etc. There’s just a certain honesty to the brand and the bikes. No smoke and mirrors, no gimmicks…
I bought one for my first bike at 32! I come from a Harley family but never really liked them and I love going to bike nights with my dad riding the only Guzzi.
Hi Darcy, I have a V7 Stone. Changed the exhaust to mistral, new sport air filter from DNA with open cover, and most importantly, new ECU mapping with a device from Guareschi ( called t800) and now its a complete different bike. The motor now is free to do what it was supposed to do in the first place without getting strangled by euro5 crap. If you own a V7 one day, try it out. Ride safe!
Yep I did the same and absolutely transformed the bike. The device is actually by UpMap but it's Guareschi who provide the different maps. They also build the homolgation kits for the V7 racing series in Italy.
Just got a Special 850 the other day. Don't miss anything at the moment (except maybe the mistral sound) but curious to better understand the difference after your mod... Do these changes affect the wear/lifespan of the motor?
I have a V7iii Milano with Guzzi tech tune, mistral long pipes, suspension, and like you said…it’s a bike truly transformed. Loves to rev and rip while sounding like an orchestra from the heavens
@fredarthur2374 arguably the aftermarket map increases the lifespan of the motor as they run VERY lean from the factory. From the seat of the pants I found the map fixed the annoying hole in the midrange
Your style of presenting just gets better and better - enthusiastic, informative, friendly, engaging. If Amazon Prime had any sense, they'd get you and Freddie Dobbs to front up a motorcycle programme with Simon Crafar also contributing a short piece on MotoGP - you'd all knock it out of the park.

Moto Guzzi is the hidden gem of the bike world. They are growing in popularity I feel. To me, they are better than Harley Davidson. Tons of character, yet great performing and comfortable and for way better prices typically. Moto Guzzi is making some strives with the v100 and stelvio and that new platform they have in those bikes. I wish I had kept my v7 850, im probably gonna end up picking another one up eventually. Im also wanting a Royal Enfield Super Meteor or Shotgun or the new blacked out Interceptor as well, but havent ridden that 650 motor yet to see how it compares, so Im looking forward to your thoughts and comparison between the v7 and the continental gt. Oh yeah the exhaust you are thinking of for the v7's that make them sound like they were designed by God Himself are agostini pipes, also mistral pipes sound really good as well.
totally agree on the fact that they are better than Harley, especially when you live outside the US. I just got myself the exact same special edition 8 days ago after a 12 years "pause". Previous one was the Dyna super glide custom 2005 (FXDCI) which I enjoyed very much till I suffered from a herniated discs. In short the HD weighs 100kg more the motor was a 1450 cc vs 850 cc which cost less overall both insurance and tax. This Guzzi is giving plenty of joy torque wise and the motor is singing, a bit like an Italian lady lots of charm and at times with character 😎 Best of all it costs all the price !
I've had my '23 Special Edition for a few weeks, it's a great bike! I put a deposit down on a '24 Corsa back in Nov, but with all the drama surrounding the release of the '24s here in the States, and the dealer offering an $1800 discount on a '23 Special Edition, I decided to get that one instead. I had them install a set of Agostini reverse cone mufflers with the dB killers removed, airbox lid elimination kit, and an UPMAP tune. I put thin red pinstripes on the wheels, painted the raised edges on the valve covers in Italian flag colors, and have an OEM solo seat getting redone with a ventilated Alcantara seat panel and red/silver stitching, to match the OEM dual seat. This is my sixth air-cooled Guzzi, and even though they're an acquired taste, those that know, know! This bike sounds awesome with different mufflers (especially the Agos, since they don't have cats like other aftermarket ones), and handles better than a 2018 Triumph Street Twin 900 I used to have. They're great bikes, and being air-cooled with pushrod valves and shaft drive, nowhere near as complicated to maintain as other modern bikes.
May I ask a few questions? Have you had any issues with your '23 Special Edition? Also, how many miles have you put on it so far? And lastly, what is the drama of the '24 year? I was looking at both a '23 SE and a '24 Corsa. I like how easy they seem to maintain, especially the valve covers. The bikes have character and I like that, but I want reliability as well. Thank you!!!
Mostly had Harleys here in Norway and am now selling my Road King as im fed up with it and i dont tour enough to warrant a touring bike. Tested a Moto Guzzi V7 last fall and have hardly thought about any other bike since. Amazing machine that i will buy soon!
I was 14 when I saw the Le Mans and California and instantly fell in love with the brand. Fast forward 46 years I came back to biking and having browsed the Japanese catalogues and nothing got my juices flowing, everything looked rather samey then I saw the V7special picked up the phone and ordered one no test drive just had to have it, I have had her two years now and have no regrets she’s a beautiful bike, I particularly love the engine sound it chatters its way along, it’s very comfortable to not a rocket ship but now coming upto 63 my space jock days are long behind me however it isn’t a slouch when needed for overtaking. In short I’m a long time Guzzi lover and at least one thing on my bucket list has been achieved.
Forza Guzzi! You have to love them for sticking with shaft drive, when everyone else can only offer miserable chains. Just a shame that their dealer network is so limited, they deserve to sell in greater numbers.
Totally agree! The shaft drive is a major reason they're the best value in the modern classic segment. That, and the fact they're built in Mandello del Lario and not some developing country halfway around the world. I'm fortunate to leave near one of their largest US dealers who also happen to be the best mc dealer I've ever dealt with. I think Guzzi is on the rise, and I expect to see it's dealer network expand accordingly.
When I first saw this model I ordered one. I’ve had it a month and done 1200 miles and have love every minute of riding it So much more character than my Honda. I love the DRL but was unsure of the clock Now I’m used it it really does suit the bike and the arrow end cans are a work of art. Riding Guzzi’s is a love affair
Fully understand your excitement about this bike. I bought my V7 new in 2021. Love the bike and how it brings me from A to B… always with a smile 😃 in my face. You should really buy one for yourself. Cheers from Germany.
I made my drivers licence this morning on a Yamaha MT-07. License test passed, I immediately went home, jumped on my brand new V7 special silverstripe with 1 km on the clock and drove about 90 minutes. My baby shakes, but drives indescribable nimble. The Guzzi really lives! It is very relaxed to drive and gave me a totally confident feeling. Thanks a lot for Your content and best regards from Germany!
A V7 Special with Mistral pipes and you'll be in heaven Darcy. I think most people don't realise what practical real word bikes these are, as well as being stunning and well built. Think old school daily workhorse, but without the hassles of old. Then she scrubs up lovely when you want to treat her to a day out at the weekend.
I’m the proud owner of two Moto Guzzi; a California 1100i (1996) and a V7 iii stone (2020 euro4). And this bikes are the most wonderful experiences I’ve had in my 48 years on two wheels. It is a pleasure riding them, watching and doing the maintenance yourself. Try an old Moto Guzzi if you have the opportunity and you won’t go back. ;). Congrats for the channel. Cheers!
The V7's can be shifted seamlessly with a certain technique and some practice. Preload the shifter, barely touch the clutch and then nudge the gearshift toward the next gear. The gearbox will pull itself into the next gear with hardly a sound. Very smooth transmissions, just work a little differently than most. There is no primary ratio reduction so they spin at crankshaft speeds thus behave differently.
I just baught this exact model this spring. I agree the Special is gorgious. I myself, wanted to get away from the "retro" vibe, so I love the Areo pipes, the cast wheels, the absence of chrome and yes, even the off-set digital dial. 😎
In the States, it's rare to meet anyone under 60 who has even heard of the brand. I think a lot of people are scared off by the small dealer network, high cost of servicing compared to Japanese bikes, and the outdated perception that anything Italian made is inherently unreliable. When I bought my 2023 V7 Stone, I certainly knew there could be problems with it, but since that's true of any bike, I bought it anyway. 14,000 trouble-free miles later I have no regrets. If you are at all mechanically inclined, you can save yourself a boatload of money doing your own maintenance. I think MG will always be a niche brand, but I hope to see more younger people like me take the plunge and enjoy the very unique riding experience that these bikes have to offer.
Same bike as mine, still brilliant one year on. Added a small black Dart screen and Givi rack without spoiling the fabulous looks. Great ride and good with pillion. A guy stopped me at Weston-s-M bike night and said what a great bike, and then said What is it?😂
I followed you and your father because you're smart, English gentlemen with a keen eye for classically styled motorcycles. I particularly enjoy when your father takes a different point of view from you!
Great video again!! It’s one of those bikes that has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated . I used to own a V7 Milano and it looked fabulous, the engine looked like a piece of artwork, lots of chrome and twin clocks made it really stand out. The big tank gives it a great range and mine used to average in the 60’s. Might have to pop down to my local dealer again!!!
I still own my 1990 Lemans 1000. 40k miles. Final drives need to be scrupulously looked after or they will self destruct. If you get an older one, make sure to remove and inspect the ring/pinion gears. Having them shimmed correctly is much trickier than you might think, but it’s vital for longevity. the engine has never been apart, but it will prob need valve guides soon. I’ve owned many classic triumphs, Morton’s, ducatis, guzzis, and VFR’s through the years, but this LM 1000 was the only one I kept.
I own four Harley Davidson veteran bikes and two Moto Guzzi V7. One of them is the number 85 ever made of the V7 Racer and I have never used it, so it is still brand new even when it was made 14 years ago. Maybe next year I will begin to use it, but it is an item for collectors and I use it to look on in our living room, because it is a piece of art.
Great video- when I met you last week at Harley Uppingham your enthusiasm for this bike was very clear and I knew this video would be the same. Wishing you every success with the channel.
Cool bike. At 6:20 you mention the exhaust and I found it on the Arrow website for anyone else interested. It seems to be the Exhaust Slip-On by Arrow for Moto Guzzi V7 850 2021 Also, I think the popular brand of exhaust you’re thinking of at 7:10 may be Agostini. Or maybe Mistral, that’s another popular one. Cheers mate.
Ouch, here in the UK I got a brand new V7 Special, on the road, taxed, two services, breakdown cover and a tank of fuel thrown in for the equivalent of 14500 AUD.
Bang for buck can’t beat the Guzzi V7. They are a real surprise and don’t half shift when you want to make progress. Massive tank and economic on the fuel figures. Yes they cost more than an Enfield but they are so much more powerful it’s really noticeable. Compared to the Triumph speed twin they will give it a good run for the money and beat it on price. I think they will get a lot of customers in the future. When I’m out on mine there’s always a lot of interest in it.
I was tepted to buy a Moto Guzzi and I will love to have one at some point. Coming from a Buell I really like the V-Twin. For some reason I wanted more power so I bought an RnineT, which I love. But in retrospect you really don't need that much more power. Having more power takes away from the vintage purest feeling of a bike. So the V7 is a great bike and I really want one someday. With great character stunning looks and made in Italy! On a side note I really want to go to the Moto Guzzi factory and museum someday.
My Son has the V7 in black. I really love riding that motorcycle. This special edition of the V7 is a great looking bike. I actually prefer the look of the V7 over the V7 special but that is just personal taste. I appreciate the style, simplicity and nostalgic performance of the V7.
I have a '22 Stone which I absolutely love, and one of the things about them that's seldom mentioned is how easy they are to clean. Dirty to pristine in 20 minutes!
Those V7's are about the only thing I would consider trading my W800 on. They are a "real" bike for the "real" world. A mate of mine has a now very old T5 with 200k miles on the original bores and bottom end, and it is still going strong. They go forever. Electricals can be a little bit interesting, however. That said, you can service these things with only a few basic tools and in no time at all. Screw and lock nut valve adjustment is hard to beat. Yes, the top end rattles, get used to it. If it doesn't, you're in trouble. The shaft drive is bullet proof and saves you money and it saves you time cleaning. This is just about as ideal as a bike gets, in my mind.
I have an M1 Garand. The sound in real life is way better than COD. Anyway, I can’t wait to see your personal V7 you will purchase soon. I can’t imagine you without one based on your description. Then you can add all kinds of mod videos, and vlog videos too.
I'm with you the classic special wins the beauty contest hands down. Not a lover of blacked out bikes, especially blacked exhausts, and it's twin clock's everytime. Along with the W800 this is on my radar if I ever get fed up of the GoldStar, which i doubt.
Yep, that's your bike! I was just watching your review of the Special this morning, and wanted to hint about the Special Edition, which has exactly what you craved for: more sound! But you beat me on that one! 😂 I myself just picked up the V7 Stone Corsa. Next week I will pop over to Mandello del lario on my vacation!
Really nice vid. Love a Guzzi & the V7 is a gem. I aspire to own one for sure in the not too distant future. The latest Corsa vetsion is gorgeous. I'm also really hoping Guzzi make a new Griso, Daytona & Le Mans soon too.
I had two Guzzis during the 80's and loved them. Nothing they've done since has tempted me. The cheap headlight, clock and rear light would put me off this one but I do like the looks of the V85TT. Another nice review, cheers.
Same here, I've had 2 Mk 4s one I bought new. Loved them. I think I'll get a 2024 V85 if my health allows it. Fantastic looking machines. I like the Stelvio too (and the power) but the liquid cooled motor is a bit ugly. Air cooled motors almost always look better.
Currently own a Griso, and so I get the Guzzi addiction. Love the v7 as well. Just wish it was 1000cc, dual front discs and a slightly larger frame. But I have had a chance to talk to some v7 owners over the years, and to a man they've loved them.
I hope Moto Guzzi keeps sending you different models to review. Seems like you get more converts every time. You had me on your previous video of the V7 Special. Cheers
Hello Darcy, I especially enjoyed the arrival at the Country Pub and the handheld camera entry, I had my Visa out ready to order, so say hello to your Dad.
Ok im going to say it as in every video of this particular model of V7 no one does….only this model V7 has these arrow exhaust systems on, which only moto Guzzi sell, £1800 if memory serves which isent reflected in the RRP as the corsa has standard cans, which gives you an additional 3 torque & 1.5 hp & a different map in the ecm not an aftermarket flash. An extra 3 torque With a claimed flatter torque curve which comes in sooner then the other models of V7 is just awesome! How much would you pay in aftermarket parts and tuning for that! Ok you don’t get the extra lovely noise of an aftermarket can but I’ll live with that. Thanks for the freebie MG……. Metallic gloss blk paint too 🤩.
Agostini is the exhaust you want. They even have the Moto Guzzi eagle with the Agostini signature etched on the side. Class! Pure class. Mistral does have cats in the muffler if you want that E5 regulation as Agostini don't unless you get the E5 version of their exhaust with removable cat you can install. Cheers
The stone special is friendlier for bad weather riding than the special because of the cast wheels (spoked are more labor intensive). Shaft drive is something i wish i had everything i get called out and end up with chain rust.
Hello, I am a new subscriber and I want to tell you that your content is absolutely mind-blowing. I have binge watched your videos in the past few weeks. One small suggestion as a viewer and bike admirer is I'd love to see a bit of your videos dedicated to the exhaust note. It could be something as simple as just putting how the bike sounds when you cold start it till it idles, or even your review/ comparison with other bikes. Waiting for more amazing content. Happy birthday to you in advance and wishing good luck to your dad for the house move. Best, N
Sadly I’m unable to ride at the moment but I’ve already decided when I get back to riding the V7 is my next bike. My dilemma is that the Special looks stunning but I’ve no love for all the chrome and especially the extra faff of tubed wheels. I had a front puncture on a BMW F800GS many years ago and that was as scary as it gets, plus you can’t plug the tyre and go, but the off centre LCD dash and the matt paint options on the Stone don’t do it for me. The fact there’s only a £400 difference is making me lean to heart vs head and the Special - in either colour they look stunning and I’ve had a Guzzi before and loved the character. I still can’t believe a made in Mandello del Lario bike that is the only midrange bike with a shaft is only £8,600. Beautiful bike.
Two years ago I was looking for a replacement for my '02 Sportster. It was a toss up between the Guzzi, RE Int and the Bonnie. The Bonnie won by default because a beautiful one came up for sale on Craigslist 30 miles away. None of the three are common near here (nearest dealers are: Triumph - 50miles, Enfield - 70miles and Guzzi - 100miles). Still haven't been near a Guzzi or any of the REs but absolutely love the Bonnie.
I have a V85TT, lots of rumble and sold, and I am loving it, my only concern here in DK is the lack of dealernet and the poor support from the factory, And I understand, unfortunately that is the case in many countries, as a consequence of that I always have a Japanese workhorse standing next to it (I need a working bike everyday) if Moto Guzzi get there costumer support on the right track they are on to a winner 🙂👍
Absolutely gorgeous bike! I very much prefer the V7 Special though - love the twin gauges and spoked wheels. In my opinion the plastic digital instruments on the V7 Stone ruin the look of this otherwise lovely motorcycle.
Maaaate, this video almost brought tears to my eyes. Unfortunately I have recently sold both my Moto Guzzi’s. The v7 special blue, & this one, the v7 stone special edition. Both were fantabulastic, however I found the suspension very lacking on the roads in my neck of the woods. I considered changing both front & rear suspension to something that would cope better, however for some reason the rider triangle caused my left leg to cramp on Longer rides. Of course there was nothing I could do to address this. I lost a ridiculous amount of money but I felt I didn’t have a choice. I have gone back to a Harley Ultra Limited Tobacco fade & have kept my Royal Enfields, G.T Continental & Interceptor 120 anniversary models. Selling the Guzzi’s absolutely broke my heart. Three in the shed is probably more than enough though. Keep your great videos coming, you & the old man do a ripper job. Always true blue, ridgy didge content. Hooroo from Aussie Land🏍👍😎
V7s are great bikes if max horsepower isn't a factor - laid-back character while fast enough for most roads this side of an autobahn. I've put just over 4k on mine and the engine's loosened up nicely while the gearchange is a bit smoother. I like the V7 so much I picked up a V100 Mandello S a couple of weeks back, still full of Guzzi character but a lot more grunt while still handling beautifully.
I've been watching you guys for years and thought i subscribed before but found i wasn't. Anyway, i subscribed again. Love the Moto Guzzi bikes but i like the dual dials also. I have an RE interceptor 650 but thinking to upgrade either to Guzzi or Triumph Speedmaster. First world problem for sure😂
Great vid, l love them but l can't recall the last time l saw one on UK roads. In February l was in Madeira and saw more in Funchal in one morning than l've ever seen in my life in the UK, plenty in Alicante too. It's a mystery to me why they don't sell when plenty of 883 Irons did.
I took a demo ride on a Stone SE a couple weeks ago. Sounds fantastic with those Arrow cans. Unfortunately, at 6'7", I feel a bit "bear on a roller skate" on it.
Approaching Dobbs levels of styling it out at times 😁. Love your enthusiam for the V7... although every time you flash up the Special I think that is the one, those Chrome pipes and the colour way really enhance the lines. This one looks mean and best from front three quarters and sounds better. Only slip ons for this gen are Mistrals, which sound nice on videos but ain't cheap.
Didnt find a proper test of this v7 version! Thanks a lot The problem is Special edition or wait to the next model Euro 5 plus with I think more horses???? Please tell me your thoughts👍👍
In my corner of the Europe the Continental GT costs 2x times less then V7. V7 is a better bike, but not at 2x the price. Im talking at 6k euro vs 12k euro. Great review, thank you. Got my Interceptor 650 this spring. Cant have enough of it.
In the USA, people don't even know these bikes are around. If it wasn't for a Honda model, this Moto Guzzi would be the fuel mizer KING of the world. I am 56 and have always know these to be beautiful bikes as well as the ultimate mid/large bore utility motorcycle...
When the price is right I'll get a special for sure. Either the grey one you reviewed earlier or the older deep blue model. My wife wants it too so I have no issues there!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Just dropped a good chunk of cash on the NT1100 for touring europe so it's going to take a while till I financially recover lol BTW the exhausts you were thinking of were either from Mistral or Agostini (or maybe zard?). They make MGs sing
I like the dark looks of the Stone Special Edition over the Special, but I'd rather have the dials from the Special on it instead of that funky off-center one on the Special Edition. And Agostini, Mistral, Zard, MIVV and and GPR make good sounding exhaust systems for MG bikes..... especially with the DB killers removed!
I was close to pulling the trigger on a V7 a few months ago. The local dealer discussed what I wanted and suggested I would find the limits too quickly. I bought a Tuono 660 factory instead - beautiful to look at and a great bike to ride. Why aren’t there more of those on the road too? The Moto Guzzi competes with the Boneville and Royal Enfield, but not as many dealers and a reputation for reliability issues, same as the Aprilia which is why there are fewer of them around. It’s great to be different though. 😊
Aprilia goes for a totally different kind of biker than Moto Guzzi, But since both brand belong to the same company it all goes in the Piaggio group pocket 😎
I still prefer the ‘Special’ over the ‘Stone Special’ but this is still a great bike.. the clocks and the wheels on this one just aren’t me.. but I know other people like them.. be interested to see whether you think this is worth the extra over the Continental GT..
Guzzi are bringing out an A2 bike later this year which should boost sales and brand recognition. No learner options is clearly hindering growth. It's a parallel twin but the bigger Vtwins will give the new riders something to aspire to.
Always enjoy your vids but could I make a small plea. When you mention specs and then direct us to the manufacturer's website I find that process a bit of a faff so any chance you could maybe include an overlay of the basics - power, torque, wt, seat height, price. Thanks.
I do love the quality of your videos and the way you pick the locations, I'm just starting my TH-cam journey in Wiltshire and hopefully eventually will produce similar quality productions. Lovely bike as always love a vtwin

I have ridden the guzzi and the enfield there is no comparison what so ever the guzzi is miles ahead quality wise and performance wise!.
Better be, it’s miles ahead on price.
It stops me from owning one. I’ve ridden the V7 and love it. The problem is, support and parts are pathetic.
It's the vib like a Harley-Davidson or a bmw boxer engine ... it's something i can't put my finger on, but i love it.
I love the v7 SE. i think the sound is perfect. I get a response from dogs and geese as i pass. Its a low rumble but not disturbing to neighbors.
I got the same model. Super happy. I been riding 20years and that bike is for me a returning to my driving roots. ❤
Good choice!
I just bought 2021 V7 Centenario and i love it.
Thanks so much for sharing, love this! Congratulations 🥂
Totally agree 👍🏻
Just the first person riding footage at the end really captures just how nice that bike sounds. I have got to try one someday!
You should!
Cheers!
Many thanks 😊
Moto guzzi is a better choice overall..
The Guzzi is a nice looking bike.
Also almost twice the price
@@MrWebon I think the channel pointed that out. It’s definitely quite steep for a lot of people including me.
@@MrWebonSo be poor
I love the sound of that Motoguzzi I think it’s probably the best sounding bike around….. great review
Would love to see you guys review a Moto Guzzi Stelvio
I agree the special in white is the best looking one.
Same bike as mine, still brilliant one year on. Added a small black Dart screen and Givi rack without spoiling the fabulous looks. Great ride and good with pillion. A guy stopped me at Weston-s-M bike night and said what a great bike, and then said What is it?😂
Beautiful bike, Beautiful bar staff,Beautiful day! 👍
I got mine, V7 in 2023 and love it to bits.. but you need to try it to understand how good and easy to ride it is… handles so well
I followed you and your father because you're smart, English gentlemen with a keen eye for classically styled motorcycles.
It seems to be the Exhaust Slip-On by Arrow for Moto Guzzi V7 850 2021
Also, I think the popular brand of exhaust you’re thinking of at 7:10 may be Agostini. Or maybe Mistral, that’s another popular one. Cheers mate.
In Australia, the Guzzi V7 Special is $19,890 AUD, which is almost double the price of the RE Continental. I would love one though as my forever bike.
If you're patient they usually run sales. I think at the moment they are offering 1000 off the V7 and 2500 off the V85TT
The Guzzi is double the bike of that Enfield, just to be quite honest. Much better in every way around
Ouch, here in the UK I got a brand new V7 Special, on the road, taxed, two services, breakdown cover and a tank of fuel thrown in for the equivalent of 14500 AUD.
@@Deetroiter Yep, no comparison.
@@Deetroiter Holy inflation! Your dollar is becoming worthless.
I had a Griso for 4 or 5 years there. It might be my favorite motorbike I've owned. The Guzzis are good machines.
At the time, my budget was $ 2.5K short for the Guzzy. I left with the Royal Enfield INT650. No regrets. Both are gems in their own way.
This exhaust You don't remember could be Mistral... Have it in my V7 and love it!
LaFranconi is another brand. And Stucci.
Riding a Moto Guzzi and having lunch in a pub with Birra Moretti sun covers, Great! cheers from Italy 🙂
I love your channel. You get better and better. I have followed you for years and its been great watching you grow as presenters and as a channel.
Thanks so much 😊 that’s really nice to hear!
Agostini the pavarotti of the exhaust systems!
Really nice vid. Love a Guzzi & the V7 is a gem. I aspire to own one for sure in the not too distant future. The latest Corsa vetsion is gorgeous. I'm also really hoping Guzzi make a new Griso, Daytona & Le Mans soon too.
Guzzi's melt your heart don't they.❤️ Try the V85TT.
Yeah, I'm keen to see more reviews on the 2024 V85TT (with the variable valve timing) and the Stelvio. Giving serious thought to the V85TT.
@@ozyrob1 a fabulous machine.❤️
Awesome dude.. love Guzzis and my V7 special they are beautiful bikes to own and ride 😊 Pete 👍👍
Cheers
A special day and a special bike.
A great bike, but I would pick the special model. You mentioned a very nice comparison with COD and M1 Garand.
Traded my HD switchback and bought one of these in March. Absolutely love it. My gearbox is pretty smooth too. Maybe the new year gearbox?
That's the old entrance to Stowe School and off to the right is the entrance to Stowe Gardens. Wonderful place.
I have a 2005 California EV 1100 just love it what a sound.
Best,
N
Love the look of this Guzzi, lovely in black and red ❤
Awesome video and what lovely weather and that food looks delicious at that nice pub 😊
Still want to ride a Guzzi . . .
@@MarlinRando definitely try one, Mr Darcy did and he bought one 👍🏼
Excellent! How many times can you fit the words Character & Characterful in to a video? Fantastic don’t ever change😊👍
Yes, I think we started a drinking rum game 😂
I have a V85TT, lots of rumble and sold, and I am loving it, my only concern here in DK is the lack of dealernet and the poor support from the factory, And I understand, unfortunately that is the case in many countries, as a consequence of that I always have a Japanese workhorse standing next to it (I need a working bike everyday) if Moto Guzzi get there costumer support on the right track they are on to a winner 🙂👍
great show and thanks for all making my day 🎉
Excellent presentation of this beautiful bike 👍
Awesome job as usually, Darcy 👌
Thank you! Cheers!😁
Browsed around a hundred bikes today, v7 Stone Special absolutely stood above them all.
We ❤️ Guzzi's 👍🏼
the old 750 S3 looked brilliant
I have Agostinis on my guzzi. produced in the same valley
I wish there was again in production a v7 in chrome.
As a mr clean owner, that would be a great match
I took a demo ride on a Stone SE a couple weeks ago. Sounds fantastic with those Arrow cans. Unfortunately, at 6'7", I feel a bit "bear on a roller skate" on it.
Brilliantly done sir
Approaching Dobbs levels of styling it out at times 😁. Love your enthusiam for the V7... although every time you flash up the Special I think that is the one, those Chrome pipes and the colour way really enhance the lines. This one looks mean and best from front three quarters and sounds better. Only slip ons for this gen are Mistrals, which sound nice on videos but ain't cheap.
Thanks buddy! Yeah I agree, mistral was the one I was thinking of
Didnt find a proper test of this v7 version! Thanks a lot
The problem is Special edition or wait to the next model Euro 5 plus with I think more horses????
Please tell me your thoughts👍👍
I wonder when the next one will be, and whether it won’t have as much character as this 🤔
The bike is beautiful and sounds great
In my corner of the Europe the Continental GT costs 2x times less then V7. V7 is a better bike, but not at 2x the price. Im talking at 6k euro vs 12k euro.
Great review, thank you.
Got my Interceptor 650 this spring. Cant have enough of it.
Great to hear 👍🏼👍🏼
I love Guzzi and Royal Enfield, I have a 23' Silver Stripe V7 850 Special and a 22' InterContinental😆in Sunset Strip.
I hope you get a Guzzi. 😎
Sounds great! I’ve seen some second hand with low miles for under 7k
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Just dropped a good chunk of cash on the NT1100 for touring europe so it's going to take a while till I financially recover lol
BTW the exhausts you were thinking of were either from Mistral or Agostini (or maybe zard?). They make MGs sing
Just buy one! you know you want it. Nearly 23000km on mine and i enjoy it more each time i ride. PS. Mistral or Agostini
Love my ‘21 Stone.
Thank you very much, best of luck with your channel too! 👌🏻
Great review once again. I'm thinking of getting the v7 lll.
How tall are you please? I'm 6ft 3 and wondering if I'm too big for the bike. Cheers.
I am 6ft 1" and the Ol Man 6ft 2" and we found it fine 👍🏼
