I don't know why people comparing these two speakers. Of course the sound quality will be different and JBL sound will be lesser than Sony speaker because JBL has only 3.1 Watt but Sony has 5 Watt. This is the main reason for the sound difference.
Because the price and the size...(in my opinion)
bcs in most stores they have the same price
2 watts doesn’t make such a difference when your woofer is a lot bigger and the Sony doesn’t have much of an enclosure so it sounds not as clean and has to much of a boomy bass sound
Sony is more powerful and battery life, but somtime it loss sound when i fast forward TH-cam video.
Sony has quality sound and crystal clear voice. Also jaw dripping bass

JBL Go 2 actually sounds better than that, I can upload a video to prove it lol. Not saying it has LOTS of bass, but it's audible and great for its size and price.
Yea I tested both of them and for sure go 2 doesn't sound like that
It's difficult to give a realistic reproduction of sound through a video but I'm doing the best I can 😊 I record it with a certain type of microphone, it's exported and imported/converted on TH-cam after which viewers can watch it with different speakers or headphones. So it's just an indication 😊
It doesnt coz the sony isnt even facing the camera and still sounds better 😂

People here comment comparison seems like which one is bigger and louder. I aint even not both fan of the brand... but i choose JBL because, the proper distortion and balancing between midrange and high range... obviously low range Sony win for a raver music bass music party music.... JBL has may have the abit a clarity.... any sound engineering people / producer here to give some comment?
well if im listening to mostly oldies and rock music , not bassy music will the jbl be better for me?
Here in Russia Sony costs twice more than JBL. So it’s incorrect comparison IMHO. And it’s not so light and compact as JBL, you won’t probably carry it in your pocket.) Anyway thank you for interesting review.
But i prefer JBL because it have more balanced sound in my opinion... Sony is just like JBL on steroids...
They are both nice in this price class, but the Sony speaker sounded more natural to me 😊

I know that Sony has better sound and bass but I have been told that on louder volume it has some sound disturbtion! Have you noticed that?

If I would be really critical about these speakers I think every speaker in this price range has distortion at the moment the volume is around 80% - 100%. But the audio distortion is not disturbing unless you're an audiophile haha. These speakers are just a cool and budget option to have with you in the park, beach, shower etc. Overall I think the Sony is more bang for the buck :)

Next time you turn the Sony speaker to the mic, like you did with JBL... The front of the speaker is not where the letters are...!!! That completely change the sound!

I heard both live and this video doesnt make justice . The volume of the jbl is mucho more higher than the Sony , and the only diference are the batery and lows .

They are both good speakers in this price range, but I prefer the Sony speaker over the JBL speaker because of the sound quality and bass.
