I just installed a pair of these and they rock quite a bit, along with a small clearance issue at one point in the rotation to back-facing position. I have a 2024 Promaster 3500 EXT. The bolts fit perfectly and it swivels, just some rocking that can't be taken out via the 6 bolts around the swivel. Electrical was no problem. Thanks for your video, always good to see someone have success with a particular product/brand before tackling.
@@stevecasey6411 it’s possible however the option was much more expensive than doing it yourself. Plus the plates I use only raise it a little over an inch.
I see there is an option to buy the van with swivel seats. is this better? cheaper? is there any advantage to the factory installed swivels? what are your favorite options when ordering a new promaster?
The factory option is fine but it’s double the price than doing it yourself. Check out the first episode in this series where I go over the options I ordered. Link is in the description
Yes. About an inch and a half. These are the lowest profile ones I’ve found. I recommend getting the seat belt extensions I have linked also. Not a requirement but they make it nicer. Plus the chime doesn’t go off when you’re just moving the van without your seat belt
great video,thank you.
As a solo female doing her first build, big thanks for being so detailed! So many videos lack that. It’s much appreciated!
Thanks for watching. Leave a comment if you have any questions on anything

Wow, that’s super easy!!!
Nice job!
Do you have the name of the swivel seat kit u used for the Promaster thanks
The link for them is in the description
Don't you lose memory in computer if negative is disconnected, or if positive is connected does it leave enough
I can’t speak for other vehicles but I have done this on 4 promasters and one sprinter van and it hasn’t reset anything.
@@BuildingVanLife thanks I am trying that today. I feel more comfortable now with your response.
Do you have links to your window coverings?
yes here you go amzn.to/3UDiBlF
Hi, great video! W
ith this product, are you able to swivel the driver side seat with the E-brake in the up/engaged position?
my vehicle has an electronic e brake so I'm not too sure. Maybe someone else in the comments can answer that.
Great demo.... are you able to modify factory installed swivel seats to slide back say....an inch or two for us longer legged folks? Thanks
Hmm I’m not too sure about that
The slider works normal, affected by the swivel
What vrand did u choose? How much height did it add?
I have one, slider works fine
I wouldn’t have ordered the factory swivel option from Ram had I known that it’s that easy to install. It costs $695 per seat!
Yeh you can save a lot by switching a few bolts
I think the factory option does not increase the overall height of the seat like the aftermarket version do.
@@stevecasey6411 it’s possible however the option was much more expensive than doing it yourself. Plus the plates I use only raise it a little over an inch.
Oh yeh I see above it was $695 per seat from the dealer or $300 per seat to do it yourself

Does the swivel seat make the seat height taller?

Hi, do you have link for the swivel tray parts. I see several but hard to find the right one for my 2018 promaster.
Here you go swivelsrus.com/product-category/promaster/swivels-promaster/
Not sure why there is not a single video showing the driver side install?
b/c it's identical to the passenger side
My precious
