Yes it was very fun I tried to do it on the hardest difficulty but I just suck at the game now so I had to go back to normal because it was too hard for me 🥲 but it was still fun
This whole DLC was a textbook exposition on Jungian psychoanalysis and Shadow Integration. You see it especially in this final scene where Kratos confronts his own unconscious shadow which throughout the Nordic arc he's been trying to ignore and repress he finally confronts and ultimately integrated into himself in acceptance of his past decisions.
The lighting provides shading that makes it look like his skin is no longer covered in the ashes and no longer pale. As though he looks as he did before ares
@1:48 that line “I chose” to me just so powerful. I think that’s when he finally realized that yeah he was manipulated by the gods but HE called to ares for his power he wasn’t forced to accept his power. He wanted it, he wanted to win and be powerful but all that came at cost. He was done so wrong but he chose at the very beginning.
At the beginning: “There is no hope.” *jumps off a cliff* At the end: “Now I would like to sit here for a while” *sits on throne spreading hope to those in need* I think you can see how Kratos has went from giving up on hope to being a god of hope.
Honestly, this is the perfect ending for Kratos' story. Kratos finally faces his past self: facing the consequences of his past actions and taking full responsibly for them. And becoming the God of Hope and sitting on the ruined throne he once sat on as the former God of War. Like I said, the perfect ending for Kratos.
To me, God of War is THE game that checks all the boxes. Maybe there are more which I havent played but this on is my favorite. The action, the gameplay, the character development, the performances... This is a masterpiece of a series.
i really hope kratos is retired as the main character for the series, with this dlc he finally conquered his demons and is now working towards something he never thought possible: being praised and honored as a hero, instead of being feared as a monster
There's still more to tell I think. His next step is making amends, proving that he has indeed changed. Accepting the past is a huge step, but forging a better future is his next challenge.
Yeah yeah he's more than that hence I=Kratos 😅 his past his worst than a forbidden leaked sextape of murder & sex😐 Seriously the biggest plot hole for all of Ragnarok! Why was nobody from a Drunken Thor to Odin knowing all tried to tell Atreus "hey wanna see your daddy back then?" Kinda ruins it for all sides of plot... It was in a nightmare dream Kratos had 😵 so they obviously know but CHOOSE not to say anything seems weird🙃 Disneys Frozen + Blood&Gore
If Ragnarok didn't convince you that Christopher Judge deserved that Best Performance Award, then the Valhalla DLC DEFINITELY will.
Too much voice frying
@@mit6089 His performance is more than that… his performance has always been more than what mit6089 saw… it is more than that
This dlc is a fucking masterpiece

I’m currently playing this and loved every moment of what I played.
@@joeywomer then you are truly a cultured comrade.
@@nicktitus4374 I don’t understand what you’re talking about?
This scene is not only for kratos.its for all of us blaming our younger self for the mistakes we did in the past and now we regret

I thought so too!
Didn’t notice that. The small details like that make this series so great
That Mimir smile after Kratos said" I would like to sit now".. He knows its finally over, true brother/friend is Mimir.. 4:42
I love how it transitions from Greek music to Norse music
I love that we can hear the greek music and instruments. The music here is amazing

Kratos has the best character development I have ever seen in a game, movie, or book. 😢
@@kurtislavalerie YES 🙌🏽
10 times more than Samurai Jack and any other character combined.

We don’t need more God Of War or at least from Kratos. I think this feels like a perfect ending.
Hear me out:
God of Thunder
The greatest and most dangerous enemy kratos could ever face his past self easily guessed but still very impactful

Everytime I fuck up or disappoint myself I come here and watch this video
I can’t believe that this is a FREE DLC. Ik Santa Monica is a Western studio, but TAKE NOTES OTHER WESTERN DEVS.
Free the best 😍
Time to fix everything that was once fucked up by these own hands
Bro I really wish they brang back T.C for this
Would have been nice 😌
$5 DLC Be like;
Norse Kratos: You are more than what others saw.
Greek Kratos: I AM WHAT THE GODS HAVE MADE ME!
*Boss fight commences.*

i love you for not having subtitles on 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m going to tell my mom about us 😍🫶🏽
I was expecting a battle similiar to Madness Combat 9.5 part 2
But we got so much better,a mental battle of his past and move for better future

A God of War game without Kratos as the main character just sound really weird to me 🥲

Having these emotional moments Watching this only to be broken by a comic relief by Mimir. Lol He makes it harder to hold back.

We didn't deserve this ending

Was the most anti-climatic ending, in my opinion...
Would really like to see the present day Kratos fighting his past self.
Would have been cool but this ending feel more like therapy for kratos
That would defeat the meaning behind it. He's not fighting his past self, he's forgiving him.
young kratos got up and left out of disgust, they need a new game with kratos stopping the manifestation of this 'god of hope' pile of shyte
